Doomsday Stockpiling: I Established a Global Survivor Base
Doomsday Stockpiling: I Established a Global Survivor Base Chapter 60: Entering the Rich District

Failing to get into the villa district, Liu Qin and the others had no choice but to return to a small cabin they had found in the resort area.

The cabin was only about ten square meters, newly built from wood, and hadn’t been insulated yet.

The mountain was cold, and rain had fallen; the temperature was around five or six degrees Celsius. The damp, chilly mountain wind blew through the gaps, cutting straight to the bone.

Even wearing down jackets, it still felt piercingly cold.

Liu Sheng sipped some hot soup, warming his hands, but he still shivered.

“Mom, why didn’t you stay at the official refuge? Why come to this miserable place to suffer? I’m about frozen to death.”

Su Weiguo was also unhappy. Today, he had gone out to argue with someone and ended up making a huge scene.

Liu Qin held her phone. “I’ll call Hou Rui again.”

Before she could finish speaking, Hou Rui’s call came in.

Liu Qin immediately launched into a scolding, “What’s going on? The security guard told us Su You isn’t in the community.”

Hou Rui, enjoying a hot sauna at the time, slowly picked up after seeing her multiple calls.

After being scolded, he didn’t get angry; instead, he laughed. “Aunt Liu, think carefully. I was only trying to help, telling you Su You is here, so you wouldn’t be stranded in the storm. Now you’re the one asking me for help, not the other way around. Understand?”

Liu Qin gritted her teeth. “Understood.”

After a moment, Hou Rui said, “Wait until six o’clock, after dark. I’ll have someone meet you at the gate and get you in. For now, just wait for my message.”

Only then did Liu Qin hang up, satisfied.

She had put the call on speaker, so Liu Sheng and Su Weiguo had heard everything.

Liu Sheng raised his arms in excitement. “Great! Finally, we can leave this lousy cabin. I don’t want to suffer anymore.”

Su Weiguo, however, was angry. “Earlier, the guard said there’s no such person. Maybe they were helping Su You trick me. That damn girl, when I see her, I’ll make sure she pays.”

It wasn’t just that Su You refused to meet him. Over the past fifteen days, he had suffered greatly. He had been robbed by thugs who entered their home, beaten while protecting food, and gone hungry for several days.

His money was gone, all swindled by Su You. He couldn’t even buy food from neighbors and had to go scavenging in other people’s rubber dinghies.

Luckily, a rescue team arrived and took them to Huanxi Valley.

They had secretly slipped away from the team, walking until their feet were sore to reach the resort, relying solely on Hou Rui’s words to keep going.

They had heard that Su You bought a supermarket half a month before the heavy rain, stocked with massive amounts of supplies, and was now living in a secure villa. Maybe she was being supported by some man.

But why could Su You enjoy luxury in the villa while they were struggling and suffering in the rain?

He blamed all his suffering on Su You.

Liu Sheng and Liu Qin thought the same way, considering Su You an ungrateful ingrate enjoying good food and comfort without caring about her family. She deserved to be exposed.

Unexpectedly, around 5:30 PM, Su Weiguo returned with more than ten people.

Liu Qin’s face immediately darkened. “Who are these people? What are they doing here?”

Su Weiguo said, “These are neighbors from our community; some even came with us.”

Liu Qin didn’t remember them—they were new residents, after all.

An elderly woman behind Su Weiguo said, “We’ve heard about Su You. She’s usually solitary, rebellious toward the older residents, and has no respect for elders. Now that her father is here, she probably won’t cause trouble. We’re coming to back you up.”

Liu Qin scowled. This wasn’t backing them up—it was just a grab for a share of whatever they could get.

Su Weiguo, stubborn about saving face, refused to send them away.

He had promised them entry, and besides, maybe there was an empty villa in the district—certainly better than the crude cabin at the resort.

By evening, Liu Qin led the group to the villa district’s main gate.

The security immediately became alert. “What are you doing?”

He called in the patrol team organized by the homeowners’ committee, treating the situation as a potential threat.

Su Weiguo looked anxious. “Explain to me—who’s the threat?”

If it weren’t for the isolation gate, he might have tried to fight the guard.

Fortunately, Hou Rui arrived at this moment.

Seeing the extra ten or so people, he narrowed his eyes. “This is not what we agreed on. Only you three can enter. No one else.”

Liu Qin quickly said, “Alright, alright. I’ll have them leave immediately.”

Hearing this, the group that Su Weiguo brought erupted.

“What? We can’t enter? Why not?”

“We supplied him with goods—don’t renege now!”

They surrounded Su Weiguo, demanding an explanation.

Liu Sheng also became agitated. “What qualifications? I can go in because someone’s inside. Who are you to argue?”

It nearly turned into a fight.

Only Liu Qin stayed calm. While the others argued, she sneaked through the gate Hou Rui had opened under the cover of darkness.

Then she called the others to follow.

To avoid trouble, she promised them that after finding supplies in the villa, she would allocate extra to them.

In short, she was promising before even starting.

Hou Rui led them some distance, pointing out a dark villa. A cruel smile appeared on his lips. “This is where Su You is. I’ll take you this far.”

That woman had even threatened him, keeping him on edge. Now was his chance for revenge.

He wanted her to remain trapped with her bloodsucking parents, constantly dealing with people like that.

As Hou Rui was about to leave, the fully armed patrol team from the villa suddenly emerged from every corner.

The patrol leader was a muscular coach from a fitness training center.

“We received a report that you communicated with outsiders, intending to seize villa supplies. Is this true?”

Hou Rui naturally denied it. “I’m just bringing friends to improve their living conditions. There’s no such thing.”

The leader sneered. “But you’re not a villa owner either. How can you stay here? I’ve never seen you before—you may have snuck in.”

Hou Rui didn’t want to leave. Life here was comfortable; why go back to suffering outside?

Besides, as long as he clung to Liang Man, his meals and drinks were guaranteed.

But unexpectedly, his status as her lover was invalid.

Liang Man called first, directly telling him they were breaking up.

Hou Rui was stunned.

The patrol immediately began pushing everyone out. Liu Qin’s group lost patience and directly clashed with the patrol, trying to sneak through in the chaos.
