Drama Queen’s Guide to First Love
Drama Queen’s Guide to First Love chapter 26

In the days Fu Wenshan spent at the film studio, Xie Wanxing felt like his life hadn’t changed much, except that he had someone warm to sleep next to at night when he returned to the hotel.

But despite feeling like nothing had changed, he also felt like time had suddenly sped up. In the blink of an eye, seven days had passed, and Fu Wenshan was already packing his bags, preparing to leave the next afternoon.

That day, Xie Wanxing didn’t have any scenes in the morning and he didn’t need to go to the set. Sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at Fu Wenshan, he asked knowingly, “What time is your flight tomorrow?”

He had clearly seen the ticket Fu Wenshan had booked, which was for five o’clock in the afternoon.

“Five o’clock in the afternoon,” Fu Wenshan checked his belongings, closed his luggage, and turned to look at Xie Wanxing. He seemed to be joking, yet not quite, “Why ask again? Can’t bear to part with me?”

Xie Wanxing naturally denied it, “I just remembered the time wrong.”

But his eyes glanced around. He planned to discuss with the director later that night to postpone the scene scheduled for that night to tomorrow.

However, when evening came, as he approached the director, before he could say anything, the director slapped his head. “Xiao Xie, you’re just in time. I forgot to tell you, your scene for tonight has been pushed back. Mr. Li said to shoot other scenes first. You don’t need to come tonight.”

“Alright,” Xie Wanxing replied.

Why did Li Siheng come to give this notice? Xie Wanxing naturally understood. But instead of finding Li Siheng, who kept a low profile, he saw Fu Wenshan waiting for him outside the set.

It was still early, so the two of them went to have hotpot together.

They went to the same place they had been to on Fu Wenshan’s first day here. Xie Wanxing had a large appetite due to the intense filming, so as soon as they sat down, he ordered several plates of meat. When they finished eating and walked out, his stomach was slightly bulging.

Fu Wenshan could only accompany him for a leisurely walk.

“Do actors not need to watch their weight during filming?” Fu Wenshan asked, observing how Xie Wanxing had just devoured the meat, clearly forgetting about dieting.

“We do,” Xie Wanxing sighed, patting his stomach, “but I can’t control myself. You know, I’ve been eating boiled chicken breasts recently.”

He glanced at Fu Wenshan again and said, “Half of this weight gain is your fault.”

They walked for a while. Initially, they kept a bit of distance between them, but as they walked deeper into the alley, they gradually got closer, and their hands accidentally brushed against each other.

Fu Wenshan didn’t pay much attention at first, but when he touched Xie Wanxing’s hand, he noticed that it was cold. Subconsciously, he grabbed Xie Wanxing’s hand, casually slipping it into his pocket.

Xie Wanxing was taken aback, but Fu Wenshan said, “It looks like it’s going to rain again. It’s getting cooler. Let’s head back to the hotel.”

As he spoke, he led Xie Wanxing forward.

Xie Wanxing’s fingers curled slightly, but he didn’t withdraw his hand.

As they approached the parking lot, he thought that it wouldn’t be bad if Fu Wenshan stayed for a few more days.

The next afternoon, Li Siheng sent Fu Wenshan to the airport, leaving Xie Wanxing alone on the set waiting to shoot. Zhao Jinghua was also busy that day and wasn’t around. Xie Wanxing only had his assistant Wang Xiaoming beside him.

On the third day of Fu Wenshan’s visit to the film studio, Xie Wanxing had weighed his options and told Wang Xiaoming about their relationship. After all, Wang Xiaoming was his longest-serving assistant and would come to him for anything, so it would be hard to keep it a secret.

In an exaggerated expression with his mouth wide open, Wang Xiaoming had threatened, “Don’t tell Lian jie, or else you’ll lose your salary and benefits.”

Wang Xiaoming closed his mouth, agreeing reluctantly.

Now seeing Xie Wanxing’s somewhat distracted expression, Wang Xiaoming speculated about his boss’s thoughts and asked softly, “Ge, do you want to go and see Mr. Fu off?”

Xie Wanxing gave Wang Xiaoming a strange look, “Why would I see him off?”

Speaking even more quietly, Wang Xiaoming looked around and said, “Isn’t he your casual partner now? It’s normal to send him off after spending the night together.”

Xie Wanxing didn’t say anything. He actually felt that Wang Xiaoming’s nonsense made some sense.

Since they had already slept together, it would be reasonable to see him off.

But before he could think further, the script supervisor came to remind him that it was time to shoot. Xie Wanxing took off his coat and went up to the set.

By the time he finished filming, he found several WeChat messages on his phone, all from Fu Wenshan informing him that he had arrived home safely.

Xie Wanxing didn’t reply to his WeChat messages, but when he got back to the hotel, he called him.

Fu Wenshan quickly answered, “Hello, have you finished filming?”

Xie Wanxing had just taken a shower, holding a towel to dry his hair, with his phone on the bed.

“Yeah, we had night scenes today, just got back.”

“Did you have dinner?”

“Yes, had the usual boiled broccoli and chicken. If I keep eating this, I’ll turn into broccoli.”

Fu Wenshan chuckled on the other end of the phone. During his seven days on set, Xie Wanxing had eaten bland, tasteless diet meals for five days. It was no wonder he couldn’t resist the hotpot.

After chatting for a few sentences, Xie Wanxing suddenly heard what sounded like a cat’s meow from Fu Wenshan’s end.

He was puzzled, “Did I mishear, or do you really have a cat there?”

Fu Wenshan indeed had one in his arms, a chubby-faced Garfield, lying in his arms like a pancake, sticking to him affectionately.

“You didn’t mishear, it’s my sister’s cat,” Fu Wenshan said, “She’s been abroad these days, and this cat sticks to no one but her. As soon as I got off the plane, she forced me to take care of this precious cat.”

Without considering the opinion of his own younger brother.

Fu Wenshan glanced at the cat in his arms, which was now cuddling on his abdomen, acting coquettishly. He remembered something interesting and asked Xie Wanxing, “Do you know what this cat’s name is?”

Xie Wanxing was curious, “What is it?”

By now, he had put the phone to his ear, and Fu Wenshan’s laughter came directly into his ear, as light as a feather tickling him.

“It’s called Wan Wan, after you, Xie Wanxing’s Wan.”

Xie Wanxing inexplicably felt his ears heating up.

“Why is it called that?” he asked.

“My sister likes you, I’m serious. She’s your fan. There are not only posters and merchandise of you at home but also couple watches. Originally, she wanted to name the cat ‘Wanxing,’ but she was afraid that when she called your name, the cat would come running, so she compromised and named it Wan Wan,” Fu Wenshan said as he stroked the cat, “If my sister finds out I slept with you, she’d probably throw me into the river.”

Xie Wanxing was quite surprised. He didn’t expect that among his fans, there would be Fu Wenshan’s sister lurking. But he quickly smiled again, “That’s an exaggeration; she’s your sister after all.”

Fu Wenshan snorted, “That’s because you haven’t met my sister. When I was a kid, if I fought with my sister, she’d scratch my face with her nails until it bled. And my brother, no matter how I got scratched by my sister, he wouldn’t intervene. But if I dared to touch my sister, I’d be done for, and my brother would beat me up.”

His prowess in fighting now was definitely thanks to his brother and sister.

Xie Wanxing burst into laughter.

This was the first time he had heard Fu Wenshan talk about his family. He knew roughly who was in Fu Wenshan’s family, and some of them he had even met briefly, but he didn’t have much of an impression. However, listening to Fu Wenshan talk like this, he felt a sense of closeness.

“My brother never beat me,” Xie Wanxing boasted proudly. “When I was a kid, my cousin bullied me, and my brother didn’t hesitate to beat him up. After that, they never dared to bully me again.”

Fu Wenshan thought for a moment. Xie Wanxing must have been even cuter when he was a child, like a little snowball. If he had a brother like that, he probably wouldn’t be able to bear to beat him either and would want to carry him around everywhere.

“I’ll have to go home in a while. It’s my grandfather’s birthday,” Fu Wenshan added. He didn’t know why he was telling Xie Wanxing about this. It wasn’t a big deal.

Xie Wanxing didn’t think there was anything wrong. He blurted out subconsciously, “Should I also get a gift?”

As soon as the words came out, he felt like he was being presumptuous. What right did he have to offer a gift to Fu Wenshan’s family?

Was it as the identity of the second young master of the Xie family, which was distant and unrelated, or as Fu Wenshan’s casual partner?

Both were strange, with the latter being particularly inappropriate.

He couldn’t help but bite his tongue.

Fu Wenshan said, “My grandfather isn’t hosting a big birthday banquet this time, just a casual family dinner celebration. Even our distant relatives weren’t invited. But if he sees you, my grandfather should be very happy.”

Xie Wanxing asked softly, “Why?”

“Because my grandfather likes good-looking people,” Fu Wenshan explained. “My sister is also a fan of good-looking people, probably inherited it from him.”

Xie Wanxing couldn’t help but laugh again.

Ever since he returned to the hotel, it seemed like he had been laughing all the time.

After hanging up the phone, Fu Wenshan lifted the Garfield in his arms.

The cat was about to fall asleep but was awakened by Fu Wenshan’s movements, opening its eyes drowsily.

“Wan Wan,” Fu Wenshan called out.

The cat tilted its head. “Meow?”

After calling out, Fu Wenshan felt it was pointless and hugged the cat back to his chest.

He knew Xie Wanxing’s nickname wasn’t Wan Wan, it was Xing Xing.

Stars scattered across the sky.
