Chapter 37: If You Write Me a Love Letter, I’ll Definitely Read It
Yu Nanzheng looked at her with the same look he used to look at a mental patient.
“Jian Hongyou, can you stop making me sick?”
Jian Hongyou said, “Back in high school, I saw Zhuang Sijin slip you a love letter. Didn’t you see it?”
“Heh, a lot of people have slipped me love letters. Do I read them all?”
Yu Nanzheng’s usual way of dealing with those love letters was to throw them directly into the trash.
So, he had never read the love letter Zhuang Sijin wrote to him, nor did he want to.
“Jian Hongyou, if you write me a love letter, I’ll definitely read it.”
Yu Nanzheng’s gaze was deep and scorching.
Jian Hongyou was startled and turned her head away.
She scoffed, “Who would write you a love letter? You’re dreaming!”
“Yeah, I like to dream.”
Every dream featured a woman named Jian Hongyou.
Jian Hongyou looked at him seriously.
“Yu Nanzheng, are you trying to provoke me in a different way? I told you to stop flirting with me, and you’re getting bolder, aren’t you!”
Yu Nanzheng laughed wickedly.
“Yeah, we’re both adults now, why are we still acting like kids? It’s boring. People will think you’re abusing me, which isn’t good for your image.”
“Heh, I should thank you, then?”
“No need for that. We’re husband and wife now, no need to be polite. Jian Hongyou, I’m going to tease you in a different way, you better be careful.”
“Careful of what?”
Jian Hongyou frowned.
Yu Nanzheng didn’t explain.
It wouldn’t be fun if he did.
Jian Hongyou felt that this guy was so fond of smiling these days. He was constantly flirting with her.
She told herself to hold on and not fall for it!
Yu Nanzheng was teasing her.
This man was so bored!
He was just starved for female companionship, feeling lonely and empty inside, so he was picking on her.
After lunch, Yu Nanzheng didn’t leave. He found a chair and sat down.
Jian Hongyou asked, “What are you doing?”
Yu Nanzheng sat with his legs crossed.
“Watching you film.”
Jian Hongyou ignored him.
The makeup artist came over to touch up her makeup.
This scene was about her and Li Kai’s sweet past.
They hadn’t filmed it before, so they were reshooting it now.
Li Kai glanced at Yu Nanzheng and walked over to Jian Hongyou.
They didn’t have any overly intimate scenes, just holding hands, hugging, or Jian Hongyou leaning against Li Kai’s chest.
Liu Ben was good at shooting these kinds of scenes that didn’t require kissing but could still create a strong sense of atmosphere.
“Get closer!”
“Hug tighter.”
“Hold hands naturally. Li Kai, look at Hongyou with love, deep love, understand?”
Li Kai said, “Understood, director.”
“Okay, let’s do it again.”
Xiao Shui stood beside Yu Nanzheng, feeling a cold wind blowing. It was so cold, she unconsciously stood further away from him.
Yu Nanzheng stared fixedly at Li Kai’s hand.
He wanted to break it.
He hadn’t held Jian Hongyou’s hand yet, he hadn’t hugged her tightly.
Why should Li Kai, that stinky kid, get to enjoy this?
Li Kai!
He remembered him. He wouldn’t let him film with Jian Hongyou again.
Zhuang Sijin didn’t leave. She sat not far away.
Yu Nanzheng looked at Jian Hongyou, and she looked at him.
She didn’t leave, so Zhuang Xiaohui naturally stayed too.
“Sijin, Jian Hongyou films with male actors every day, and there will inevitably be intimate scenes. Yu Shao won’t be able to handle it. They’ll divorce sooner or later. You just wait patiently. Look, Yu Shao’s face is turning black. He must be very angry.”
Zhuang Sijin fell into deep thought.
She wanted to wait, but she was afraid her father wouldn’t let her. His health was failing.
After filming, Xiao Shui quickly handed her a water cup.
Jian Hongyou took a few sips and returned to Yu Nanzheng.
She raised her eyebrows, “How was it? How did I act?”
Yu Nanzheng kept a straight face, but finally uttered two words.
“Not bad.”
Jian Hongyou was born to be an actress. She got into the role quickly and had a lot of talent. She was a quick learner.
Directors loved actors like this, they were malleable and easy to work with.
Jian Hongyou smiled with her eyes curved, her fox-like eyes were lively and charming.
Her happy mood was unconcealed.
“I’m done filming. I’m going to take off my makeup. Wait for me, I’ll treat you to dinner later.”
Yu Nanzheng raised his eyebrows.
“You’re treating me to dinner?”
“Yeah, I’m treating you.”
Yu Nanzheng was really good to her, so it was only right to treat him to a meal.
Besides, the money in her card was all from Yu Nanzheng.
“Okay, hurry up, I’ll wait for you.”
Jian Hongyou went to change clothes and take off her makeup.
Yu Nanzheng’s phone rang. He glanced at it and answered.
“Mom.”
“Stinky boy, where are you?”
“Ancheng.”
“What are you doing in Ancheng?”
“My wife is filming here.”
Tang Aojun: “…”
“When are you coming back?”
“Tomorrow.”
“I didn’t ask you that, I asked when my daughter-in-law is coming back.”
“Maybe in a month or so.”
“Your father and I are back in the capital. We were hoping to see our daughter-in-law.”
Tang Aojun was a little disappointed.
They were back for a week and then had to leave again.
Yu Nanzheng smiled roguishly, “Don’t worry, I’ll take her to see you. But we have to agree on this, don’t scare her, don’t ask any random questions.”
Tang Aojun laughed angrily, “Are we the kind of people who are so clueless? Hang up!”
Yu Nanzheng stopped her, “Mom, thank you and Dad for giving birth to me so handsome and good-looking.”
“Of course, speaking of which, you really have to thank us. Thanks to your father and me being so good-looking, you and your sister inherited our beauty.”
Tang Aojun was very proud.
Their family was a walking advertisement for good looks.
“When I was young, I only liked good-looking guys, so I fell for your father. That’s why you and your sister have such perfect faces.”
“Stinky boy, I’m quite satisfied with one thing about you, you found such a beautiful daughter-in-law for me, Hongyou. Your children will definitely be beautiful too.”
His children with Jian Hongyou…
Yu Nanzheng twirled his nose and smiled with a mischievous look.
“Yu Nanzheng, let’s go.”
Jian Hongyou called from a distance.
Yu Nanzheng immediately said, “Mom, I can’t talk to you anymore, I’m going to dinner with my wife.”
“Go ahead, after dinner, hurry back to the hotel and make me some grandchildren. Go for it, son!”
Yu Nanzheng: “…”
Yu Nanzheng walked over to Jian Hongyou.
Jian Hongyou pinched his ear curiously.
“Yu Nanzheng, why are your ears so red?”
Yu Nanzheng mumbled.
“I was just on the phone with my mom.”
“Oh, so?”
“She told us to go back to the hotel and make babies after dinner.”
“Cough, cough, cough!”
Jian Hongyou wished she hadn’t asked.
Zhuang Sijin walked over.
“Nanzheng, Jian Hongyou, are you going to eat? Let’s go together.”
Jian Hongyou said, “It’s not convenient!”
Yu Nanzheng said, “Call me Yu Nanzheng!”
After they left, Zhuang Sijin was so angry she almost lost control.
Zhuang Xiaohui said, “Sijin, I have a plan.”
Jian Hongyou took Yu Nanzheng to a private restaurant in Ancheng that served local specialties.
The location was a bit remote, but the environment was good and there weren’t many people.
As a public figure, Jian Hongyou couldn’t go to places with too many people.
Even so, Jian Hongyou wore a baseball cap and a mask the whole time.
Yu Nanzheng made her sit in the corner, using his body to shield her. It was basically impossible for anyone to recognize her.
