Chapter 12.1: Enemies Meet, More Vicious Than Ever
At this moment, the Prime Minister’s residence was in complete chaos, turned upside down.
When the servants and masters awoke this morning, they were shocked to find the Prime Minister’s residence resembling a wasteland.
They had seen thieves before, but never ones with such madness.
Not only had all the large furniture from the hundreds of rooms been taken, but even the tiles, floor bricks, and the gems embedded in the screens had been pried away.
It could be said that there was not a single valuable item left in the entire residence.
The servant who went to change shifts in Su Qingyin’s courtyard this morning, upon entering, was met with the sight of a naked person hanging on the courtyard wall. He hurriedly called several guards to get the person down.
Seeing that the woman had a decent figure but her face was covered in sores and bumps, the guards mistakenly thought she was some careless woman who had wandered into the Prime Minister’s residence and were ready to toss her out.
“Ah—”
At that moment, Su Qingyin opened her eyes and leaped up from the ground. Seeing herself completely naked and being stared at by the guards, her mind went blank, and she screamed loudly.
Hearing that familiar voice, the servants finally realized it was the second young lady, and they quickly lowered their heads, not daring to look further.
Su Qingyin’s reputation was completely ruined.
There was not a single piece of clothing to be found in the entire residence for her to wear, so they had to let Qiao’er take off her clothes to put on her first.
Su Qingyin stared in shock at her once splendid courtyard that had turned into ruins overnight. Just as she was regaining her breath, she caught sight of her own face covered in pus and grotesque, and a surge of blood rushed up, causing her to spit out blood and faint.
In Qingfeng Courtyard, after Su Chengzhi woke up and blinked his sleepy eyes, he was instantly filled with excitement upon seeing his surroundings.
“Wow, these little minxes really know how to play! This time they’ve transformed the scene into a slum? Haha, thrilling! I like it!”
He finished speaking and grabbed a similarly naked servant beside him, taking a few bites.
Just as he was getting ready to battle with the servants beside him for another three hundred rounds, a little maid rushed in to report:
“Master… Master, bad news! The Prime Minister didn’t come home last night; the Prime Minister’s residence has been completely looted!”
Su Chengzhi felt as if the sky had fallen, stunned into a daze.
“You… what did you say? This is the Prime Minister’s residence? This… this is my Qingfeng Courtyard?!”
Shaking his head, which felt like it was made of tofu, he finally remembered what had happened last night and leaped out of bed, shouting in anger:
“Then what are you still doing here? Hurry and have Father report to the authorities?!”
“Which guards were on duty last night? A bunch of useless people! Hundreds of them couldn’t guard a courtyard! Get out and take fifty lashes!”
Not satisfied, he kicked the maid, Cui’er, who had come to report, to the ground.
“Why haven’t you gone to fetch some water for me to wash up?! Where’s my breakfast? Who gave you the guts to let me go hungry?!”
“You damned thing! Keep looking so dumbfounded, and I’ll sell you off!”
Cui’er, clutching her chest in pain from the fall, could only endure it, crawling away quickly.
As a result, she searched the entire Qingfeng Courtyard and didn’t find a single scrap of food.
Fortunately, the tiger whip that the chef had stewed for the Prime Minister last night had not been used. Without thinking much, she hurriedly took it to Su Chengzhi.
Su Chengzhi didn’t take the burglary of the residence too seriously; after all, no matter how big the issue, his father was there to handle it.
At this moment, he was leaning against the wall, sitting comfortably as several servants massaged his shoulders and rubbed his back.
Seeing Cui’er come in, he scoffed and finished the entire pot of tiger whip soup in a few gulps.
After finishing, he felt unsatisfied and brutally kicked Cui’er to the ground again.
“Why haven’t you gone to find something else to eat?! With just this, do you want to starve me?!”
Just as he finished speaking, a sudden, excruciating pain surged from his lower abdomen. A scream like that of a slaughtered pig shattered the air, and he rolled his eyes and fainted.
In an instant, the courtyards of all the masters in the Prime Minister’s residence were filled with screams, and the servants were frantically busy.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long before news of the Prime Minister’s return spread.
Everyone seemed to have suddenly found their savior, crying out and rushing to the front hall, hoping that Prime Minister Su could bring them justice.
However, as soon as they arrived at the front hall, they saw Su Bingsheng being escorted back, his head hung low like a wilted eggplant.
