Chapter 21.1 : The Scumbag Father Gets Slapped in the Face

Actually, Su Qingning had a whole bunch of Half-Leaf Grass in her space. The reason she sent Xiao Huaijin to pick it was mostly to get him out of the way.

Seeing him fly off far into the distance, Su Qingning quickly used her consciousness to select a small wild boar from her space’s farm and pulled it out.

The boar had been daydreaming in the space, but as soon as it was placed in a new environment, it seemed to know its time was near. It started hopping around and squealing terribly.

Su Qingning used all her strength to tie its four limbs with a vine.

Hearing the screams from below, Xiao Huaijin thought his sister-in-law was in trouble, and quickly rushed back.

To his surprise, he saw the petite Su Qingning with a struggling little fat boar on her shoulder.

He was so shocked that his mouth hung open for a moment before he managed to find his voice.

“Third… Third Sister-in-law, you’re amazing… you even caught this!”

Well, he’d have to get used to it.

Grandmother had said that Third Sister-in-law was like a fairy from the heavens, and whatever outrageous things she did, the whole family had to cover for her.

Xiao Huaijin took the wild boar and the basket from Su Qingning’s shoulders, and the two returned to the inn feeling quite satisfied.

The Xiao family members were amazed when they saw that the two had come back without any tools but had caught a wild boar.

However, after a second thought, they figured that since Ningning might actually be a fairy from the heavens, it wasn’t so strange that she had caught a wild boar.

Everyone then resumed their tasks, acting as if nothing unusual had happened, and started preparing the spoils they brought back.

Liu Qing, along with second sister-in-law Jiang Xinyue, busied themselves in the kitchen.

Even Zhang Qinxue, who had been pampered since childhood, and elder sister-in-law Li Xuanyi, tried their hand at simple tasks, with Xiao Qingya helping to wash the wild vegetables on the side.

They had all silently agreed on one thing.

They all felt that Su Qingning had been working hard enough already, so if there were any tasks they could do, they would take them on themselves.

Thus, when Su Qingning was about to enter the kitchen to help, Liu Qing firmly pushed her back into the room.

“Ningning, you must be tired. Go take a bath and rest for a while. Your mother, your sisters-in-law, and I will cook. You just wait to eat.”

Xiao Huaijin and Xiao Huaishuo also thoughtfully left, giving her the room to rest alone.

Seeing that the Xiao family was always so considerate toward her, Su Qingning felt a warm sensation in her heart.

This body had suffered a lot since childhood, and it really was tired.

So, she didn’t argue with her grandmother. After handing over some seasonings from her “bundle,” she locked the door and slipped into the space.

Since time flowed differently in the space, she leisurely took a bath, then lay on the comfortable bed to rest for a while.
