Exclusive Love Chapter 6.1

The identity of this “someone” is quite intriguing.

Le Ning listened, with a slight curve of her lips.

— Someone.

Who is so special to deserve this?

It was Xie Wei who seemed to choke a little on this answer.

But Le Luo, who didn’t understand anything, asked innocently, “Zhou Ge, you decided to go to the police academy because of that one sentence? What did you originally want to apply for?”

Xie Wei tried to stop him but was too late.

Zhou Ran’s gaze lingered on Le Ning for a moment. With no reaction from anyone nearby, he paused for a second and simply said, “I was choosing between the military or the police academy.”

With this explanation, everyone immediately understood.

The “someone” mentioned was the reason Zhou Ran made his decision faster.

Le Ning didn’t say a word, only silently eating her food, enjoying the sauerkraut fish… and to be honest, it was really delicious.

After a while, the conversation shifted to another topic.

By the time dinner was over, Le Ning quickly paid the bill before the others had the chance.

Zhou Ran quietly looked at her.

Xie Wei helplessly said, “Miss Le, no need to rush like this.”

Le Ning smiled lightly and softly said, “You treated us to breakfast that day, it’s only fair to return the favor.”

She then added, “Thank you for giving my brother so many good suggestions.”

Her words completely ignored Zhou Ran.

Xie Wei was caught in an awkward position.

Just as he was about to speak, he heard a low voice from the man next to him: “Are you free this weekend?”

Le Luo nodded eagerly, his eyes shining as he looked at him.

Zhou Ran said淡淡: “If you’re really interested, I can take you to experience it this weekend. Whether it’s the police academy or the military, it’s not as easy as you think.”

“I know.”

Le Luo quickly responded: “Zhou Ge, where are we going to experience it?”

Zhou Ran glanced at the person beside him, who seemed to want to speak but stopped. Calmly, he took out his phone. “I’ll ask around first and let you know once it’s settled.”

Le Luo excitedly looked at the phone: “Okay, thank you, Zhou Ge.”

After adding Zhou Ran on WeChat, Le Luo suddenly exclaimed, “Zhou Ge, when will you confirm it?”

Zhou Ran raised an eyebrow and looked at him.

Le Luo scratched his head and said, “Our senior year… we have to hand in our phones tonight, but we’ll get them back when we go on break on Friday. How about you add my sister on WeChat? You can talk to her, and she’ll tell me.”

Le Ning, suddenly being called out: “???”

She stared, stunned, at the excited little fool next to her.

Le Luo, do you even know what you’re doing?!

Le Ning was about to speak, but Zhou Ran gave her a meaningful look and coldly said, “It’s fine either way.”

Le Ning: “……”

Hah, you’re being pretty stubborn, aren’t you?

Le Luo looked at Le Ning with bright eyes.

Le Ning had always been good to this brother of hers. Whatever he wanted, she would basically fulfill, let alone adding someone on WeChat.

Even though she was reluctant, she still took out her phone.

“Then thank you, Officer Zhou.”

“You’re welcome.”

Le Ning: “……”

After exchanging WeChat contacts, Le Ning looked at them. “If you have something to do, you can leave first.”

She looked at Le Luo. “I’m going to the bathroom, and then I’ll take you back to school.”

“……Oh.”

Le Ning went to the bathroom.

When she came out and was washing her hands, she glanced at her reflection in the mirror. After running around all afternoon and having a hot, hearty dinner, her makeup, though not bad, had definitely dulled a little.

Naturally, she had her compact powder with her, and today, she had brought along the Guerlain Gold Dust Powder, which has some skincare benefits. Most importantly, it was excellent for touch-ups and had long-lasting coverage.

The case was beautiful, and it was one of Le Ning’s favorite compacts.

After touching up, her makeup instantly looked smooth and refined.

Le Ning touched her face, feeling very satisfied.

She noticed her lipstick had faded from dinner, and hesitated for a few seconds while reapplying.

Her bag had two lipsticks. One was the Chanel 196, a gentle beige coffee color with a hint of gold shimmer, perfect for everyday wear because it was subtle and elegant.

The other was Armani’s 401 liquid lipstick, a bright and lively orange-red that really stood out.

She struggled for less than two seconds and then decisively chose the bold one.

When Le Ning came out, Zhou Ran was the only one left by the door.

She glanced around, instinctively biting her lip.

Zhou Ran glanced sideways, his gaze lingering on her striking lips for a moment before he turned away.

While Le Ning was on the phone, he spoke.

“Xie Wei took him back to school.”

Le Ning’s hand paused as she looked up at him.

“Then why didn’t you leave?”

Zhou Ran, who seemed to not understand the concept of restraint, replied calmly, “I’m waiting for you.”

They looked at each other for a moment. Le Ning stayed silent for a while, then, seeing a message from Le Luo, she put her phone away and said, “No need to wait.”

She added, “Thanks for your help today, Officer Zhou. As for the place Le Luo wants to experience, just let me know once you’ve decided, and I’ll take him there.”

Zhou Ran: “Okay.”

Le Ning was surprised and raised an eyebrow.

He’s this easy-going?!

The next moment, Zhou Ran stepped forward with his hands in his pockets, turned around, and said, “Let’s go.”

Le Ning was taken aback. “Where to?”

Zhou Ran: “I’ll take you home.”

“No need.”

Le Ning didn’t even think before rejecting: “I drive myself, so there’s no need to trouble Officer Zhou.”

Zhou Ran didn’t get angry and actually smiled for once: “Le Luo asked me to. The area where you live… isn’t very stable lately.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Le Ning’s phone vibrated again. It was a message from Le Luo:
【By the way, sis, I asked Officer Zhou to take you back! The place where you live isn’t safe recently. What if something happens? It’s already late.】
Le Luo: 【Officer Zhou said he’s off work tonight and can take you.】

Le Ning turned off her phone, internally sneering.
Silly kid.

She looked up, and Zhou Ran met her gaze calmly.

Of course, if his smug expression wasn’t so obvious, it would have been less annoying.
