Flirting with the Wrong Person Chapter 25

Shen Zhirou remained professional, but compared to before, her focus had noticeably decreased.

She couldn’t help but glance at the spot where Zhou Jiayu was standing.

The man, with his upright posture, fixed his eagle-like gaze on her.

His brows were furrowed, and his expression was stern.

Shen Zhirou recalled a previous job for a lingerie brand. During the shoot, a model’s boyfriend had come to pick her up after work, and he stood nearby watching the interactions between the female and male models.

Everyone joked, asking the female model if her boyfriend wasn’t jealous.

Half-jokingly, the female model said that all the jealous ones had broken up with her, leaving only the ones who understood her job.

Shen Zhirou never imagined she would find herself in a similar situation.

Could he understand her work? Would he be jealous? Would he be angry?

Actually, she didn’t need to worry about him so much. They were probably broken up now, right?

Shen Zhirou’s mind was a mess when she heard Xiong Hao suddenly put down his camera and say, “Let’s take a break.”

He checked the photos while someone grabbed Shen Zhirou and asked, “Who’s that guy? It looks like he came specifically to find you. Is he your boyfriend? I saw him hugging you earlier.”

Shen Zhirou listened to the question and glanced at Zhou Jiayu.

Seeing Xiong Hao put down his camera, Zhou Jiayu thought the shoot was over and immediately started walking towards them, taking off his coat to wrap around her.

But just as he reached the edge of the pool, Xiong Hao stopped him.

“We’re still working. Please don’t come over and disturb us.”

Hearing Xiong Hao’s somewhat angry tone, Shen Zhirou quickly went over, “We’re not finished yet. I’ll talk to you when we’re done.”

She looked at him, her gaze lingering for two or three seconds before avoiding his eyes.

Following her gaze, Zhou Jiayu glanced at the staff behind her, suppressing his jealousy. He handed her the coat, “Wear this to stay warm.”

“Let me know when you’re done. I’ll wait for you over there.” He draped the coat over her and retreated.

Xiong Hao glanced at the coat on Shen Zhirou and then at her face, which was looking at Zhou Jiayu. “Look at me, little mouse.”

“What’s up?”

Xiong Hao approached, his voice returning to its usual patient tone, “If you don’t want him bothering you, just tell me, and I can help.”

Shen Zhirou felt Xiong Hao’s words were a bit exaggerated, but she didn’t want to explain her private matters with Zhou Jiayu, so she just said, “It’s fine, no problem.”

“Then focus. Look at your photos; your eyes are all over the place.”

“Sorry, I won’t be distracted anymore.”

“Focus, we’ll take a few more shots and then go to the hot springs.” Xiong Hao called out to the others, “Get ready for the next shoot. One more take and we’ll head to the hot springs.”

He reached out to remove the coat from Shen Zhirou, but she dodged.

“I’ll return it to him.” She took off the coat and ran towards Zhou Jiayu.

Seeing her coming, Zhou Jiayu’s expression softened.

He stepped forward to speak to her, but she hurriedly shoved the coat into his hands, “I need to go back to the shoot. You wear this, I have a towel.”

Zhou Jiayu watched her run back. He removed the towel from his shoulders, tossed it onto a nearby chair, and sat by the pool, dipping his feet into the water.

The water is so cold, is she really going in?

His first instinct was to stop her.

With a splash, Shen Zhirou jumped into the water.

It was clear she was shivering from the cold.

She and the other model in the shoot hugged in the water, but at Xiong Hao’s command, they quickly separated and posed with their swimming rings.

Zhou Jiayu clenched his fists at his sides.

His initial anger was now replaced with concern.

He didn’t realize Shen Zhirou’s job required her to get into such cold water. Even though it was noon and the sun was shining, the pool water was freezing.

But he couldn’t intervene; he had to restrain himself.

He put his coat back on, watching Shen Zhirou shiver as she climbed out of the pool, only to lie in a swimming ring and get back in for more shots.

When the shoot finally ended, her face was pale from the cold.

The towel wrapped around her was soaked and useless, making her even colder in the wind.

But everyone was busy packing up, getting ready for the next location.

Shen Zhirou, too, grabbed two swimming rings, but Zhou Jiayu took them from her.

“I’ll carry these. Put on your clothes.” He removed his warmed coat and draped it over her, guiding her hands into the sleeves. “I won’t interfere with your work. Just wear this, and I’ll help you carry the stuff. I’ll wait for you to finish.”

As Shen Zhirou slipped her hands into the loose sleeves, she felt his lingering warmth inside.
