Flirting with the Wrong Person Chapter 30

Zhou Jiayu successfully took advantage of Shen Zhirou’s muddled thoughts and led her to his room.

By the time they entered the room, Shen Zhirou was still a bit disoriented.

When they went downstairs to the hotel front desk to check out, Zhou Jiayu confirmed that Xiong Hao had gone to the front desk to get an extra room card and that her room had been booked by Xiong Hao alone.

She was genuinely shocked to find out that Xiong Hao had booked her room!

Shen Zhirou transferred the room fee to Xiong Hao, and Zhou Jiayu peeked at her phone.

“I just paid him back for the room,” she explained.

“Okay,” Zhou Jiayu replied, pretending not to be jealous.

He placed her bag aside and casually picked up her coat, asking, “Did he help you with this?”

“When I arrived in the morning, he told me my room wasn’t ready yet and asked me to wait. I left my stuff with him because I was in a hurry to start work. Later, when I got my room card, I forgot my coat.”

“Oh,” Zhou Jiayu said, lifting the coat again. “Should we wash it?”

Shen Zhirou: “???”

“Nothing,” Zhou Jiayu muttered, hanging the coat for her.

Shen Zhirou glanced at her phone again; Xiong Hao hadn’t accepted her payment.

Zhou Jiayu leaned over again and suggested, “I have cash. I’ll have someone deliver it to him.”

“That works. If he doesn’t accept it, I’ll borrow some cash from you and transfer the money to you later.”

“Add me back on WeChat and never block me again!” Zhou Jiayu quickly pulled out his phone, finally bringing up the WeChat issue.

Feeling a mix of frustration and amusement, Shen Zhirou felt her temper rise again, “You tricked me into thinking you were married! You didn’t add me on WeChat!”

“I did, but you rejected my request.”

“No, I never saw your friend request!” Shen Zhirou, believing she had unblocked him, spoke confidently.

But the next second, when Zhou Jiayu sent another friend request right in front of her, the notification said the request was rejected.

Shen Zhirou: “…”

She felt guilty instantly.

She weakly added Zhou Jiayu back, then tossed her phone aside. “I’m tired. I want to sleep.”

She really was tired. Now that her nerves were relaxing, the exhaustion became even more evident.

Zhou Jiayu watched her yawn, looking like a lazy cat, and found her irresistibly cute.

“Why are you smiling?” Shen Zhirou found him inexplicable.

“Nothing. Go to sleep,” Zhou Jiayu said, pulling back the blanket for her and then crouching down to take off her shoes.

His warm palm on her ankle made Shen Zhirou’s heart feel hot.

Zhou Jiayu quickly removed her shoes and then, on a whim, kissed the top of her foot.

Her round toes curled in surprise at his action, which Zhou Jiayu also found adorable.

“What are you doing!” Shen Zhirou’s cheeks flushed, her voice shy, “I’m still evaluating you. We’re not officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet.”

“I know, I’ll wait for you to decide tomorrow,” Zhou Jiayu said, taking off her other shoe and then moving to the sofa to sit, trying to appear as upright as possible.

But…

Shen Zhirou saw him sitting there like a statue, staring at her intently.

How was she supposed to sleep like this?

“Stop looking at me.”

“This is the only place to sit.”

“Then face another direction.”

“I want to watch you,” Zhou Jiayu replied directly.

Shen Zhirou: “…”

“Can’t sleep? Want me to tell you a story?” Zhou Jiayu suggested.

“Fine, tell me a story.” Shen Zhirou hugged the blanket, watching him walk over, sit by the bed, and pull out his phone. He actually searched for a fairy tale and began telling it to her.

His voice was deliberately low, like a soothing blues tune.

Shen Zhirou gradually became sleepy and eventually fell asleep.

When she woke up, she found Zhou Jiayu lying beside her.
