Chapter 13
The golden-haired tiger braved the heavy rain and made his way to a nearby cave.
This small cave was one he had stumbled upon during his hunt. It was situated on higher ground and formed naturally out of rock, dry and not damp at all.
However, the cave entrance was shallow. The golden-haired tiger, being so large, had to tuck his tail in when entering, or else it would get soaked in the rain.
Fortunately, the cave was high enough that he could sit against the wall without much trouble.
Although the elevation made it safe from flooding, the entrance was too wide, leaving it exposed to the strong winds. The gusts blew fiercely through the entrance, carrying the heavy rain into the cave.
After reaching the entrance, the golden-haired tiger shook off the rain and signaled for the little cat to get down. Then, he tossed the massive wild boar he had caught in front of the cave entrance to block the wind.
He squatted at the cave’s entrance, ensuring the little cat was shielded from the rain, worried that she might get wet.
Unfortunately, the rain was pouring too heavily, and he had come back in a hurry without having time to gather some dry grass. The ground inside was rough with jagged rocks and small twigs and leaves. The golden-haired tiger used his tail to sweep the debris away before gently placing the little white cat down.
Once the little cat was set down, she looked around. To the golden-haired tiger, the cave wasn’t particularly spacious, but to her, it seemed quite roomy. She could even run back and forth a few times inside.
The golden-haired tiger curled his tail inside the cave, as the heavy rain in the jungle had made the air chilly. The little white cat shook the water from her fur and nestled close to him, lying down.
Seeing the little cat so obedient and quiet made the golden-haired tiger feel somewhat unaccustomed.
She was so well-behaved, almost as if the cat who had previously mocked him by walking on three legs wasn’t the same one.
When the little white cat met the golden-haired tiger’s gaze, she merely glanced at him faintly. Seeing that he had come back to find her, her attitude toward him had already shifted.
From today onwards, he was her cat!
“Meow, meow meow.”
“Good, follow me and I’ll never let you down.”
The little white cat stretched out her paw and gently patted the golden-haired tiger’s large tail.
Hearing the soft meows, the golden-haired tiger’s heart softened. In order to respond to the cat, he too stretched out his uninjured paw and gently touched the cat’s head.
The viewers in the live stream couldn’t help but feel this was too sweet.
【It’s been solved! The little cat is definitely a sky city-level rich person, otherwise, she wouldn’t say something like ‘I won’t let you down.’】
【I agree with the previous comment, the golden-haired tiger clearly has a high mental strength. And she boldly says such things—she must come from a powerful background!】
【So, will this couple end up as a rich young lady and her bodyguard?】
【Ahhhh [1]“KSWL” stands for “Kan Shuang Wu Le” (看爽无了), which is a Chinese internet slang. It translates to something like “so hilarious I can’t stop laughing” … Continue readingKSWL! Rich young lady and bodyguard, what a beautiful love story! I’m totally supporting this pair!】
【Look at the golden-haired tiger’s affectionate gaze at the cat, who could resist that?】
—
The viewers in the live stream were all in tears over this beautiful couple. They couldn’t imagine the storm that would erupt when they later learned the little white cat was actually a controversial guest with a bad reputation online.
Meanwhile, the little white cat suddenly noticed the golden-haired tiger’s injured leg.
The golden-haired tiger’s right front leg was injured. Although the exact cause of the injury wasn’t clear, his behavior suggested it wasn’t too severe.
However, upon closer inspection, the white bandages were soaked in blood, with the cloth turning completely red from the blood that had soaked through.
After he had gone hunting, coupled with the rain, his injured leg had been exposed to the water. The little white cat immediately grew concerned.
The rain in the jungle was pouring heavily, and the wind was fierce. It was likely they wouldn’t be able to return anytime soon. She was worried that if the injury wasn’t treated promptly, it might worsen.
The golden-haired tiger had already thought about this issue. But with his strong mental energy, he felt the injury wasn’t a big deal and didn’t want to trouble the production crew to come out in the rain.
But the little white cat, who had been lying lazily, suddenly stood up and meowed as she walked around his injured leg, looking it over. The golden-haired tiger, worried that the blood might stain the cat’s pure white fur, pulled his leg back slightly.
The little white cat, a bit displeased, extended her paw and gently pressed it against the golden-haired tiger’s injured leg. Then, she growled at him, trying to sound fierce.
“Stop moving, you unlucky thing!”
Hearing the soft meows and seeing her gently press her paw on his leg, the golden-haired tiger immediately stopped moving, obediently staying still.
The little cat cared about him. Hm, that was a little cute.
He didn’t realize that the little white cat was actually treating his wound.
In this world, people’s strength and weakness were determined by their mental energy level, and no one would have thought there could be healing-type abilities.
The little white cat gently pressed on the golden-haired tiger’s injured leg, seemingly trying to treat his wound. Meanwhile, the viewers in the live stream were going wild with excitement.
【Ahhh, the cat is kneading him! The cat is kneading!】
Although the golden-haired tiger was injured, the little cat’s paws didn’t apply much pressure. In fact, they were soft and gentle, making him feel quite comfortable.
He lay there, looking at the little cat with a gentle gaze, and the more he looked, the cuter the little cat seemed to him.
Qing Liu was completely unaware of this. Of course, it was normal for the golden-haired tiger to like the little cat. After all, after these past few days of ‘pampering’ by the panda, the red fox, and the brown bear, Qing Liu was convinced that the little white cat was the pet team’s favorite!
The golden-haired tiger’s injury wasn’t actually that serious, but it had injured the bone in his leg, so he needed to rest for a while. However, based on the golden-haired tiger’s behavior over the past two days, it was clear that it was impossible to keep him from using the leg and to make him rest obediently.
Qing Liu glanced at the wild boar piled up at the cave entrance and felt even more upset.
While using her healing ability to treat the golden-haired tiger’s leg, she angrily meowed.
“Look at your leg, it’s already short and thick, and you’re not even taking good care of it. If it really gets messed up, you’ll just be a crippled tiger.”
The little cat muttered with frustration, “A three-legged crippled tiger no one wants, wandering the streets picking up trash, selling garbage for two hundred and fifty, eating dirt every day like a lonely, destitute tiger.”
The viewers in the live stream were silent: 【……】
【This cat really dares to speak her mind!】
【As expected, without a powerful family background, she wouldn’t dare to be this bold!】
Meanwhile, the Han family members watching the live stream couldn’t help but agree with the little cat’s words.
Mother Han, worrying about her son, the golden-haired tiger, said, “The cat’s right. Even if he had all four good legs, he still wouldn’t be able to get a wife!”
Father Han also chimed in, “I told him to rest properly, but he wouldn’t listen. With his personality, I don’t know who he takes after.”
The lonely and destitute description was so accurate that both Father and Mother Han exchanged a look, and neither of them could admit their son was like either of them. In the end, they both concluded that the child resembled no one else but himself.
The golden-haired tiger listened to the little cat’s “meow-meow-meow” and felt the warmth from her paw on his injured leg. The pain lessened, and even the fatigue from his whole body seemed to dissipate.
He felt incredibly comfortable, lying there listening to the wind and rain, and before he knew it, he began to drift off to sleep.
After an unknown amount of time had passed, Qing Liu felt that the golden-haired tiger’s wound had almost healed. She withdrew her paw and looked at the drowsy golden-haired tiger, saying, “Alright, your wound is healed now. Next time you get hurt, remember to come find me, okay? I don’t charge.”
Live Stream room:
【Hahaha, the cat really loves joking.】
【So she was role-playing just now, pretending to be a nurse? Shy jpg.】
—
The viewers in the live stream all thought Qing Liu was joking and didn’t pay much attention to what she had said.
Of course, the golden-haired tiger didn’t realize that his leg had been healed.
As the rain intensified, the little white cat cautiously walked to the entrance of the cave, carefully stepping around the wild boar to look outside.
The rain showed no signs of stopping, and the jungle was becoming increasingly dark. The live stream ball they were carrying lit up the darkness to prevent the stream from cutting off, keeping the cave bright.
But outside, it was getting darker and darker, even though it was supposed to be broad daylight.
The golden-haired tiger slightly opened his eyes, keeping a close watch on the little white cat’s movements. He even stretched his tail behind her, making sure she wouldn’t be swept away by the strong wind.
Qing Liu thought back to when the fluffy creatures had all set off for the jungle this morning. She wasn’t sure how they were doing or if they had found any shelter from the rain.
As she was thinking this, she suddenly saw something white on a large tree not far from the cave entrance.
In the dim environment, surrounded by the green jungle, this patch of white stood out too much.
The hurricane was so strong that even though the tree’s trunk was thick, the branches were swaying violently in the wind.
Qing Liu felt that the patch of white looked familiar. When she focused, her eyes immediately widened in shock.
Ah! Isn’t that the snow eagle?
He can fly, right? Why hasn’t he found a place to hide?
Or maybe, before the heavy rain started, he could’ve left the jungle, but now—why is he standing on a tree that looks like it could collapse at any moment, being blown by the wind and soaked by the rain? How dangerous is that?
Qing Liu was worried about the snow eagle’s safety. She remembered that they were all pets of the same owner, so in this dangerous moment, they could share the cave to take shelter from the rain. She hoped the golden-haired tiger wouldn’t mind.
As she thought about this, she turned to the golden-haired tiger and said, “Meow? Meow meow?”
“Brother Tiger, is it okay to let the snow eagle in?”
The golden-haired tiger squinted, hearing the little cat’s soft voice. His heart softened, and he gently brushed his tail against her back.
Qing Liu immediately turned back to the snow eagle, raising her front paws to wave at him.
“Hey, come here, come here!”
Her gaze was eager, and her paws were waving enthusiastically. The snow eagle, who had been perched on the tree, immediately understood her meaning.
She was worried about him and wanted him to come into the cave to take shelter from the rain, right?
But the cave had been found by the golden-haired tiger, and it didn’t seem very big. Would the golden-haired tiger agree to let him in?
When the snow eagle had followed the golden-haired tiger earlier, he clearly sensed the golden-haired tiger’s hostility.
The rain and wind were too strong, and the snow eagle couldn’t figure out the golden-haired tiger’s intentions. But seeing the little cat so desperately waving at him and anxiously calling out, he couldn’t resist. He flew down from the tree and headed toward the cave.
The live stream viewers were excited:
【Ahhh, can we watch this without paying? After all six guests are in the same room, the little cat is now treating us to a ‘cave’ trio.】
【I just said I’d stand firm for the double-cat couple, but now, the ‘two whites’ couple seems pretty appealing too.】
