Chapter 5
After the little white cat entered, she noticed a line of furry creatures behind her, and behind them were several humans in uniforms, pushing food carts. They walked to the long dining table and began placing food on it.
This was the dinner prepared by the production team for the guests. On the first day of the live broadcast, the production team provided the meals, but starting from the second day, the guests would have to hunt for their own food.
After all, beastmen were not real wild beasts. Their survival skills in the wilderness had long since faded. Spending three days and nights in the forest was already difficult enough, and asking them to hunt on their own was nearly impossible.
So, in previous seasons, many guests couldn’t complete the task, and some were even scared off by wild animals in the forest, leaving them in quite a miserable state.
Qing Liu saw that the table was full of various foods, and her eyes instantly lit up. She quickly climbed up onto the brown bear’s shoulder, scratched his ear with her paw, and pointed toward the dining table, trying to stand on her hind legs.
“Meow, meow!”
Hurry up! I’m hungry.
The brown bear was flattered by how close the little cat was to him. After all, when he had offered her candy earlier, she had refused him.
The brown bear grinned and cautiously extended his hand to protect the little cat, then turned around and headed toward the dining table.
The panda and the fire fox exchanged glances at the little white cat, both feeling a little confused.
Hmm? Something seemed off.
They both thought to themselves: ‘Why isn’t the little cat coming over to snuggle with me? What’s so good about that clumsy bear?’
However, the panda was more laid-back and didn’t really care about anything, while the fire fox was more proud and rarely lowered her head. Although both of them had some complaints in their hearts, since the little white cat preferred the clumsy bear, there was nothing more to say.
After all, the clumsy bear was a male. Girls could snuggle with each other, but when it came to forming a CP (couple), they still had to choose a male guest.
The furry creatures walked up to the dining table, and Qing Liu was stunned by the food on it.
The table was rectangular, about five meters long, and it was filled with a lot, a lot of meat!
There was fresh raw meat and sashimi, as well as cooked meats, seafood, and various vegetables, fruits, drinks, and desserts. The long table was piled high.
This was the dinner the production team had prepared based on the food requirements of the six furry guests.
The golden-haired tiger and brown bear had the largest appetites, needing dozens of kilograms of fresh meat per meal. The snow eagle ate less, but still had a good appetite. The fire fox and the little cat were carnivores, while the panda was an omnivore.
Although beastmen didn’t completely follow the lifestyle of their beast forms, they were still influenced by their beast nature. So while the table looked like it had a lot of meat, the production team had scientifically balanced the food to meet their needs.
Qing Liu’s stomach immediately grumbled.
She’s hungry.
She felt as if her current body hadn’t eaten in a long time, as she’d been hungry ever since she arrived.
After the production staff set up the food, they left.
Live Stream Comments:
【This is when “Destined Match” is most human.】
【Exactly, cherish this, kids. One meal here is worth seven days!】
【Thinking back to when a guest was feeling unwell and missed a meal, and for the next seven days, he couldn’t get a full meal.】
【I’m a bit worried about the little cat. Look at her weak little body—her head’s even smaller than other people’s paws! What will happen when she goes into the jungle?】
【Don’t worry, the clumsy bear will take good care of her.】
【Hahahaha, so the clumsy bear has already been called out, huh? So, it’s already decoded, huh?】

Qing Liu had no idea that after this one meal, she would have to endure seven days of hunger.
But she was definitely hungry right now. So, she jumped from the brown bear’s shoulder directly onto the table, extending her paws and eagerly eyeing the food.
She really wanted to eat, but she hesitated, wondering if this might be the caretaker’s dinner.
But then again, the caretaker’s food—couldn’t she, as a cat, eat it?
Of course she could!
What the caretaker had, she had!
The caretaker’s dinner was also her dinner!
With this thought, the little white cat boldly stepped forward, extending her paw to grab a leaf of vegetable…
“Meow!”
“Let’s test the waters first!”
Qing Liu thought to herself, if no one stops her from eating the vegetable leaves, then she’ll move on to the meat.
She was such a clever little thing.
The brown bear saw the little cat nibbling on the vegetable leaves and immediately felt a surge of affection for her.
The brown bear sat down next to the little white cat, and just like the cat, the fire fox jumped up onto the table. Their animal forms were so small that they couldn’t reach the food while sitting in the chairs.
At this moment, the snow eagle flapped its wings and flew in, followed by the slow-moving golden-haired tiger.
Everyone was waiting for the two of them to sit down so they could start eating, while the little white cat was happily munching away at her vegetable leaves.
The cool guy, Golden-haired Tiger, just happened to sit across from the little cat. Even though there was nearly two meters of table space between the two furry creatures, piled high with food, Golden-haired Tiger was so big and imposing that when he jumped onto the wide dining chair, he immediately spotted the little white cat crouched on the table, seriously gnawing at the vegetable leaves.
The little cat was really tiny—about the size of his paw—with soft, pure white fur, as fluffy as the clouds outside the window. She looked so soft, and her ears and tongue were pink. As she chewed on the leaves, she made little purring sounds.
Golden-haired Tiger sat there, expressionless, watching the little cat, thinking to himself, this cat even purrs while eating. What’s going to happen when she’s out in the forest in a few days? Won’t the noise attract wild animals?
She’s so fragile—will she even survive this show?
The Golden-haired Tiger wasn’t particularly hungry, but seeing the little white cat enjoying her food so much, he couldn’t help but wonder—are those vegetable leaves really that delicious?
Golden-haired Tiger’s real name was Han Luofeng, and he was a very famous outdoor survival blogger.
Although the beastmen’s survival skills had degraded, the wild instincts were still deeply ingrained in their bones.
For Han Luofeng, this was even more true. He loved to go on outdoor adventures and survive in extreme environments, which had earned him a large following. However, he personally didn’t pay much attention to the internet.
The reason Han Luofeng came to participate in this dating reality show was actually the result of pressure from both his family and his company.
In his last outdoor survival trip, he injured his arm. His family didn’t want him to continue living like this, so they decided to find him a partner, thinking that once a man gets married, he’ll settle down, right?
But of course, he didn’t want to go on a blind date if they just told him to. So, his agency contacted him about this dating show, claiming it was for his vacation, to let him rest and recover from his injury.
Han Luofeng didn’t have a choice, so he ended up here.
Of course, the show wasn’t meaningful to him. He had suspected it before coming, and after arriving, he was even more certain.
He stared at the little white cat in front of him and thought, this kind of show is really only suitable for little pets like her. As a fierce beast, he should be doing adventure or survival reality shows instead.
He shouldn’t be here watching this little cat eat vegetable leaves.
At this moment, the snow eagle also noticed the little white cat, who was still happily munching on her vegetable leaves. He had been standing at the farthest end of the table, eating his meat, but out of the corner of his eye, he couldn’t help but notice the small white bundle in front of him swaying.
Perhaps because they were both snow-white, the snow eagle found himself looking at the little cat more often.
He took another bite of meat, hesitated, glanced at the cat, then took another bite, and couldn’t help but look up again.
The furry creatures present were all focused on eating, so no one noticed.
Of course, it was also possible that they were all too busy staring at the little cat munching on her leaves to care about the other furry creatures around them.
But the viewers in the live stream had sharp eyes.
【When the snow eagle first arrived, he was so fierce to the little cat, but now he’s sneaking glances at her. What’s going on?】
【He wasn’t really fierce to the little cat, though, was he? He seems like he’s always like that.】
【Indeed, his gaze is sharp and cold, even more intimidating than the Golden Tiger’s.】
【LOL, these two lonely brothers aren’t just being casually described.】
【As expected, no matter how cold-hearted a beast is, it can’t resist a little cat.】
—
The little white cat, who had been the center of attention, finally became aware of the gazes around her after finishing the vegetable leaves.
She looked up and first glanced at the brown bear closest to her. She saw that the bear was eating honeyed bread while staring at her with his shiny, black eyes.
Qing Liu: “……”
Truly, a feast for the eyes!
Qing Liu then looked over at the Fire Fox and the Panda. The two beautiful ladies were eating slowly.
Qing Liu took a step back, intending to go and cozy up to Panda, especially since Panda had fresh fish sashimi on her side of the table, which made Qing Liu’s mouth water.
However, as soon as she took a step back, she raised her head and locked eyes with the Snow Eagle’s sharp, cold stare.
Qing Liu: “!!!”
“Meow!”
She instantly arched her back, her fur standing on end!
“What the hell!”
Qing Liu was so scared that she immediately jumped up, hopping two steps behind a large bowl of meat, using the utensils to block the Snow Eagle’s gaze.
Snow Eagle: “……”
Although Qing Liu knew that they were all pets of the “litter box manager” and were friendly enough to eat together at the same table, snuggling up with each other, she was sure that the Snow Eagle wouldn’t harm her for no reason.
However, Snow Eagle’s gaze was too terrifying!
She was worried that the Snow Eagle’s sharp beak would poke at her, and wouldn’t that make a hole in her body?
Wuwuwu, it was a hole that the little cat couldn’t bear!
Hiding behind the meat bowl, Qing Liu turned her head and saw a pair of golden eyes staring at her intently.
When facing the Golden Tiger, the little white cat was much calmer since the other party was injured.
Qing Liu immediately stuck out her little tongue at the Golden Tiger and softly mewed twice.
“Greedy, with three legs.”
Golden Tiger: “……”
Beast-like animals couldn’t understand each other’s words, but when Golden Tiger saw the little white cat sticking out her pink tongue and softly mewing, his heart skipped a beat.
Ah, this… this is a bit cute.
