From Gigolo to Crown Prince: The Secret Life of My Kept Boy Chapter 29

Chapter 29

As he finished speaking, he had already walked up to Jiang Ciyou.

He naturally wrapped his arms around her slim waist.

Although Jiang Ciyou didn’t push him away, she still turned her face slightly. “I have a few questions.”

“Go ahead.”

“Why disguise your identity?”

Bo Jinxiu looked into Jiang Ciyou’s eyes with a calm expression. “It seems like you’ve never asked about my identity.”

Jiang Ciyou pressed her red lips together. Indeed, over the past three years, she had never cared about or been curious about him. Even though they often slept together, she knew nothing about his daily life.

“Did you know from the beginning that Yan Feng and I were not a real couple?”

Bo Jinxiu gently brushed Jiang Ciyou’s long hair and said casually, “I’m not interested in someone else’s wife.”

“When did you find out?”

“That night at the Black Club, you were drunk and made a fuss all night. I couldn’t avoid hearing it.”

Jiang Ciyou was a bit surprised. “Didn’t anything happen that night?”

Bo Jinxiu shook his head. “Nothing happened. You just complained until you were exhausted and then fell asleep on me.”

Jiang Ciyou was at a loss for words.

“Why didn’t you tell me that nothing happened that night?” She was inexplicably angry.

Bo Jinxiu smiled. “Would you still keep me if you knew?”

Indeed, supporting Bo Jinxiu was, in her mind, partly due to the “since we’ve already done it, might as well let things be” mentality.

Jiang Ciyou felt a bit like she had been manipulated.

“You’re the prince of the capital circle. How could you have such an odd preference?”

To like being kept.

Bo Jinxiu’s hand tightened slightly around her slim waist. “Everyone has their little quirks.”

She certainly didn’t know that, on that night at the Black Club, he had recognized her at a glance.

Yet to this day, she still hadn’t recognized him.

Jiang Ciyou rolled her eyes, but with her naturally charming eyes, it looked more like an invitation.

“Have you finished asking your questions? If so, can we start now?”

The man leaned in to kiss her lips.

Jiang Ciyou placed her fingers on his lips. “Things are different now. Your status has changed, and since we’ve chosen to be together, we need to set some ground rules.”

The man held Jiang Ciyou’s small hand and kissed it. He looked at her with great patience. “Ground rules?”

“First, we only discuss casual matters, not emotions. Don’t fall in love with each other.”

“Second, respect each other’s privacy and personal space. The second floor is yours, and the third floor is mine.”

“Third, during our time together, neither of us can have a second partner. I don’t plan to share my man with others. If you find a better option, let me know in advance, and I will leave voluntarily.”

The man nodded in agreement. “I don’t share my partners either. Deal.”

Jiang Ciyou’s hand caressed his handsome face, her eyes shimmering. “If you have any requests, feel free to mention them.”

Bo Jinxiu leaned closer to her crimson lips, his voice now laced with a hint of desire. “I have only one request: I’ll decide when this ends.”

Jiang Ciyou smiled.

This man was quite petty.

It seemed that her initiative to break up last time had wounded his pride.

Jiang Ciyou wrapped her arms around the man’s neck. “As long as you follow the rules, you decide when it ends. Once any rule is broken, our relationship ends immediately.”

The man’s eyes were dark and serious, as if he were contemplating.

But the next second, a flurry of kisses fell upon her.

He had agreed.

That night was the same as before, but somehow, it felt different.

The experience was similar to what she felt with the kept boy. The same intense heat, from seduction to unrestrained demands.

His body temperature, every detail of his physique, his habitual movements, the soft groans of satisfaction, and the way he held her afterward—all were so familiar.

But the difference was his status.

From being the kept boy for three years to becoming the unattainable prince of the capital circle.

Psychologically, it felt different.

Jiang Ciyou had trouble sleeping.

But perhaps because she was so exhausted the night before, she slept soundly until dawn.

When she woke up, there was no one beside her.

She initially thought Bo Jinxiu had already left, but she found him in the dining room.

He had made a sumptuous breakfast again.

Jiang Ciyou generously praised him and took a seat at the table, eating without reservation.

Bo Jinxiu was dressed in trousers and a white shirt, with the top button fastened, looking cool and ascetic.

Jiang Ciyou didn’t understand why she had once thought he was a playboy, despite his naturally aloof appearance.

“Did you enjoy last night?” The man suddenly met Jiang Ciyou’s eyes.

“What?” Jiang Ciyou didn’t react right away.

“You’re already trying to entice me this early. I thought you weren’t satisfied with last night. How about we redo it?”

His eyes held a trace of mischief, and his lips curved into a faint smile.

His ethereal appearance seemed to have acquired a touch of roguish charm.

Jiang Ciyou finally understood.

The playboy was still the playboy.

Jiang Ciyou went to the TV station.

As soon as she arrived, everyone gathered around to congratulate her on becoming the prime-time host.

Soon after, Vivian came out of Tang Fei’s office.

As she passed by Jiang Ciyou, she glared at her with resentment. “Jiang Ciyou, I won’t let you off.”

With that, she left.

The crowd began to discuss: “Vivian’s affair with President Hengli was exposed by Mrs. Li. Mrs. Li had her clothes ripped off in public yesterday, which went viral and even involved the police.”

“How dare she blame Sister Ciyou? It’s her own fault.”

“She’s ruined the station’s reputation. One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel. How can she still show her face at the station?”

The TV station was a place where everyone turns against you when you’re down. This group of people had said the same about her before.

Jiang Ciyou just smiled and didn’t take it to heart.

At the morning meeting, Director Tang spoke up: “Today there are two announcements. First, Vivian has resigned due to personal health reasons.”

Everyone knew it was actually because Vivian was fired. Resignation was just the station’s way of giving her a last bit of dignity.

“Second…” Director Tang looked at Jiang Ciyou with a complicated expression.

Zhang Xiaoxia, a news editor who was on good terms with Jiang Ciyou, spoke up: “The second announcement is that Sister Ciyou is becoming the prime-time host, right?”

Everyone agreed, waiting to offer their congratulations and flattery.

Only Xia Ling sat quietly in a corner of the meeting table.

Tang Fei looked troubled. “I previously said that whoever secured the prince’s interview would become the prime-time host. But this morning, Xia Ling secured a five-year advertising contract with the Yan family. Both Ciyou and Xia Ling have made significant contributions to the station. Therefore, I plan to let both of you compete fairly and earn this position based on your professional skills.”
