From Gigolo to Crown Prince: The Secret Life of My Kept Boy Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Yan Feng stared at Jiang Ciyou’s face for a moment, a smirk of sarcasm tugging at his lips.

“You’ve got a boyfriend now?”

“Yeah. You said if I felt lonely, I should find a boyfriend. I’ve been alone in this house for three years, so finding someone isn’t too much to ask, right?”

Jiang Ciyou had a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

“Why? Is it only okay for officials to start fires but not for ordinary people to light lamps?”

Yan Feng shrugged nonchalantly. “If you’ve found a boyfriend, that’s good. If he can make you stop bothering me, I’ll personally thank him with a generous gift.”

Yan Feng didn’t believe that Jiang Ciyou had really gotten a boyfriend. He knew her schemes too well. She was clearly trying to put on an act after seeing him talking to Xia Ling. The act was quite convincing, though. When the call ended, he could even feel the man’s jealous and furious tone through the phone. It was likely that she wanted him to hear that.

That night, they naturally didn’t sleep together. Jiang Ciyou slept in the bed, while Yan Feng made do with a makeshift bed on the floor. He still had some gentlemanly manners.

Before going to bed, Jiang Ciyou deliberately turned the air conditioner to its lowest setting and hid the remote control. When she woke up in the middle of the night, she saw Yan Feng shivering on the floor, clutching his pillow. Jiang Ciyou felt a sense of satisfaction.

By morning, Yan Feng had caught a cold. Jiang Ciyou paid him no mind and went to the TV station.

Jiang Ciyou was a TV host responsible for the midday news and had a column called “Noon News Eye.” She was fairly well-known in the industry. Recently, with Sister Lin leaving the prime time slot, Jiang Ciyou was competing for the prime-time female host position.

After the regular noon news broadcast, she had some free time. Jiang Ciyou returned to the Yan family home in the afternoon. Yan Feng had just come back, apparently from visiting Xia Ling.

When Yan Feng arrived, Jiang Ciyou had just changed into a new outfit and done her makeup. She wore a fragrant cloud silk cheongsam today. The cheongsam had intricate embroidery on the collar and waist, but the same color made it almost invisible from a distance. Up close, it revealed a clever, exquisite craftsmanship.

Seeing Yan Feng enter, Jiang Ciyou stood up and deliberately turned gracefully in front of him. “So, how do I look?”

Even though Yan Feng harbored deep dislike for Jiang Ciyou, he couldn’t deny her beauty. She was stunning. With her tall figure at 1.7 meters and high heels, she stood out even more. The custom-made cheongsam fit perfectly, with the skirt reaching her ankles. Her delicate white ankles gave an impulse to want to touch them. Her waist was slender, barely graspable, but well-proportioned where it mattered.

Yan Feng’s gaze moved from her chest to her breathtaking face. The cheongsam, though plain in color, combined with her extraordinarily beautiful face, created a unique allure. She seemed like a thousand-year-old fox spirit, just transformed into human form, exuding both allure and a hint of purity, captivating yet slightly innocent.

Yan Feng’s Adam’s apple moved.

He still maintained a cold expression. “It’s ugly. White doesn’t suit you at all.”

Jiang Ciyou rolled her eyes, turned away, and bent over to apply lipstick in the mirror.

“Does that mean in your eyes, only Xia Ling is suited to wear white?”

After applying her lipstick, Jiang Ciyou stood up and gave Yan Feng a radiant smile in the mirror, her provocative attitude clear. “I’m going to wear white anyway.”

Yan Feng felt that the person before him was incredibly vibrant and charming, especially with her arrogant and capricious tone, which made him feel a twinge of desire.

But Yan Feng quickly realized what was happening.

She was deliberately trying to seduce him.

Yan Feng frowned. “Jiang Ciyou, stop playing games in front of me. Even if you were naked, I wouldn’t spare you another glance.”

He added, “I’ll be waiting for you in the car,” and then left the room.

Ten minutes later, Jiang Ciyou joined him in the car.

Yan Feng was lying back with his eyes closed in the rear seat. “Old Chen, take us to the Lushan Villa.”

An hour later, the car finally arrived at the foot of Lushan Mountain.

The car wound up the mountain road, surrounded by tall, lush sycamore trees. The dense foliage cast a shadow over the road, making it feel like they were entering a long tunnel.

After an unknown amount of time, the view suddenly brightened. A grand and magnificent building, resembling a castle, slowly came into view.

The surroundings became lively immediately. A large lawn was already filled with luxury cars, and numerous waitstaff in white shirts and black vests were greeting the guests.

Their car was also guided by one of the waitstaff to the outdoor parking area.

The waitstaff then led them into the “castle.”

The heavy, ancient doors were wide open, and a red carpet, several hundred meters long, was laid out from the entrance to guide the guests inside.

Jiang Ciyou was taken aback by the intricate patterns on the carpet.

It was a handcrafted Persian carpet from Isfahan, made with wool, cotton, silk, gold thread, and silver thread. The colors were vivid, and the craftsmanship was complex.

The carpet they were walking on was of the highest quality, usually priced at $200,000 per square meter.

Jiang Ciyou couldn’t help but gasp as she looked at the seemingly endless red carpet.

Everyone knew the Bo family was the richest, but she didn’t have a concrete sense of their wealth until now.

The interior of the villa was even more astonishing, with a display of priceless antique blue and white porcelain, a huge British antique clock, and European antique chandeliers.

It was all antiques.

This was just the banquet hall on the first floor; one could only imagine how many treasures were hidden within this “castle.”

The banquet hosted by Old Madam Bo was quite traditional, with 100 tables set up for the guests.

Round tables lined both sides of the carpet, and each seat had a designated place set for the guests, as indicated on the invitation.

The Yan family’s two seats were at Table 99.

“Look over there. The man in the black Zhongshan suit seems to be the Director of the Land Bureau, and the one in white, isn’t he the Mayor of Rongcheng?”

“Not only the Mayor of Rongcheng but also the Mayor of Beijing has come. Several officials from the central government are here as well. Old Madam Bo’s connections are truly impressive.”

“So, out of the hundred tables, Rongcheng only got two invitations, and we’re seated at Tables 99 and 100.”

“Compared to these high-ranking figures, even being placed at Tables 99 and 100 is quite an honor.”

The conversation was between Mrs. Zhang and Mrs. Qin, both esteemed ladies from Rongcheng’s top families. They were friends with Jiang Ciyou’s mother, Yao Shulan, so Jiang Ciyou was familiar with them.

They met face-to-face.

Jiang Ciyou could only greet them, “Aunt Zhang, Aunt Qin, good evening.”

Seeing Jiang Ciyou, Mrs. Zhang and Mrs. Qin showed a hint of sympathy and regret in their eyes.

“Oh, it’s Ciyou. You’re here too.”

“Your mother and Xiao Xiao are busy presenting gifts to Old Madam Bo. You should go and greet her.”
