Today, as always, I’m solo hunting in the mid-layers.

The exploration of the mid-layers is done, and since descending this far is a pain, Alex and the others have been hunting in the upper layers recently.

Thanks to that, the mid-layers are all mine.

As more and more people are hunting in the halls and corridors, I no longer have to bother defeating monsters and can just quickly make my way to the mid-layers.

It takes about 10 minutes, I guess?

I can still go faster, but that might surprise people who see me or cause an accident on my part…

This is probably my fastest time.

“Hmm… is it about time?”

Right now, I’m drifting near the northwest corner of the mid-layers.

Just a while ago, I was hunting on the opposite side, but I wiped out the monsters in this area about 30 minutes ago.

By the way, the respawn interval for monsters in the mid-layers is roughly a little over 30 minutes.

So, it’s about time the monsters should be spawning, but…

“Oh! They’re starting to spawn…”

Looking down, I saw something like a stain on the ground, and from there, monsters began to appear.

It’s different from how our snakes appear… It’s always strange and a bizarre phenomenon every time I see it.

“Hmm… hmm?”

As I was impressed by the way the monsters spawned, hanging upside down in mid-air, I felt a tug on my back.

Akame is handling the rear, so the monsters must have spawned there as well.

Well then, it’s about time to resume hunting…

To prepare, I activated 【Hideout】 on the dungeon ceiling and entered it.

“Ugh…”

As I looked at the piles of relics scattered across the hallway from the entrance, I couldn’t help but let out a sound.

Individually, they’re not much, but… there’s a lot of them.

I kept picking them up and throwing them into 【Hideout】, and this is the result.

“…Maybe I should ask someone to make a cart for me… Oh, wait, that’s later. For now, I need to deal with this.”

I muttered and grabbed the umbrella leaning against the entrance.

Though I got distracted by the mess in the entrance, I entered 【Hideout】 to take this out.

“Alright! Let’s go!”

I’ll think about cleaning up later.

With renewed determination, I left 【Hideout】.

I chuckled as I watched a group of monsters wandering near the center of the northwest area.

I opened the umbrella I took out from 【Hideout】 and aimed it at the group…

“Flash!”

I could feel the strong light even through the umbrella.

It must be blinding to suddenly be hit by this in the dim dungeon.

Below, the orc group was shouting in frustration from the brightness.

Attracted by this intense light and the monsters’ screams, monsters from all over the northwest region started gathering.

When the monsters spotted me, they came running toward me, but they couldn’t catch up to me as I fled.

I’ve been keeping my speed just slow enough that they can’t quite catch me, so I’m able to lure them effectively.

This is what’s called a train.

It’s dangerous, and normally it would be impossible to pull off, but since the entire layer is empty now, it’s possible.

However… every time I do it, it’s incredibly intense.

The group keeps growing, and now there are nearly 50 monsters.

But, what started as a cluster is starting to break apart little by little.

“Ha ha! Flash!”

I cast another spell at the first group!

The group in the lead, hit directly, is blinded and stops in its tracks.

The effect is still great… Since the monsters chasing me are of different speeds, I need to adjust like this.

I kept leading them for a while, and finally, I arrived at my intended spot.

The mid-layers are a vast hall, like a limestone cave, with poor footing. Columns grow from the ground and ceiling here and there.

There are also steep slopes, and large rocks are scattered around, making it difficult for my 【Danrem’s Thread】 to work effectively due to the obstacles.

The center of the layer is relatively better, but the further you go toward the edges, the rougher it gets.

The place where I fought the boss gorilla is located in the central area of this layer, and it’s a relatively open space, but there are many monsters there, so fighting there would be reckless.

I tried it briefly, but monsters came from all directions and I couldn’t do anything.

Alex and the others said it was easier to fight there, but… it’s not suitable for me, who fights alone.

On the other hand, the rough edges, where they said it was harder to fight, are better suited for me because I don’t have to worry about my surroundings.

Then, while wandering around the edges looking for a more efficient hunting ground, I found this place and devised this hunting method.

When I stopped fleeing and turned around, the monsters running toward me had formed a nice line.

From here, the columns and obstacles wouldn’t block my line of sight.

Just as planned!

“…Alright. Hah!”

I activated 【Danrem’s Thread】 and several other enhancement items.

Then, I drew the bow that was making a high-pitched sound and aimed…

“Ha!”

I released the arrow.

It’s a bit clumsy to handle, but its power is unquestionable, just like 【Danrem’s Thread】.

The thick, glowing arrow pierced through the monsters in its path.

It didn’t matter whether they were mid-layer monsters or not.

That said, it seems that shooting through that many monsters took a toll, and it didn’t reach 200 meters.

“…Oh… that might be a new record.”

I’ve been using this hunting method lately, and usually, there’s about 10 or so monsters I miss… but this time, it was perfect.

I might have mastered it.

“Hehe…”

With the sensation in my hand, I can’t stop laughing…!
