“You’re in a great mood, aren’t you?”

Humming a little tune, I drifted like a balloon by the window of Seriana’s room. Noticing me, Seriana opened her mouth with a slightly exasperated tone.

“Well, yeah.”

I responded without turning away from the view outside the window.

The shelves and monster sculptures I ordered were finally arriving today.

Yesterday, the Commercial Guild sent word addressed to Liesel, informing her of their delivery.

It ended up taking about two months, huh? Man, I’ve been waiting for this.

Initially, I thought about displaying them in the 【Hideout】, but Seriana offered me the use of this room, so here we are.

Seriana’s quarters consist of two rooms, including the bedroom, designed in an L-shaped 2LDK layout with a bath, toilet, and kitchen.

It’s spacious, with plenty of room to store things.

I imagine this space was designed to accommodate numerous maids and servants on standby. But it’s just me, Elena, Teresa, and occasionally Fiora.

At one point, the nanny and the children were also staying in this room, but they’ve since moved to the children’s room next door.

Seriana doesn’t keep many belongings here, either.

Apart from portraits, Mira’s paintings, a large map of the city and its surroundings, and some monster claws and fangs I collected, there’s still plenty of empty space.

Maybe I’ll gradually add more of my stuff here?

As I kept gazing outside, I noticed something approaching in the distance.

“Ah! It might be here!”

A wagon clattered up the slope leading to the mansion.

It had a cargo bed behind it, clearly carrying something large.

Unfortunately, since this room is at the far end, I couldn’t see it clearly.

“They’ll call us when it arrives, so calm yourself,” Seriana said, her tone laced with amusement.

It seems my excitement was lost on this elegant lady.

Though I’ve ordered custom-made items before, this time it’s shelves.

While umbrellas cost more, I’d never ordered furniture in my previous life.

In this regard, I’ve surpassed my past self.

Soon enough, word came that the delivery had arrived.

The plan was for the items to be carried up the main hall’s central staircase to the second floor, then transported to the room by the maids of the southern wing.

Since the shelves were empty, activating 【Prayers】 would make it manageable for the women to carry them.

The reward was already prepaid with a ritual of 【Mira’s Blessing】.

However, I was summoned to Liesel’s office instead.

Why’s that?

Descending to the first floor, I passed by several Commercial Guild members or workshop staff loitering awkwardly near the shelves.

Ignoring them, I made my way to Liesel’s office.

Now that I think about it, there were only shelves—what about the ornaments?

Are they still outside?

“I’m coming in!”

As usual, I announced myself before entering the room.

“Huh?”

Inside, the usual faces were diligently working, but there were also some unfamiliar ones.

Among them were the soldiers responsible for mansion security.

While they often passed through the corridors, they rarely entered this room.

There were also a few elderly men dressed neatly.

One of them I recognized—Dan, the craftsman I placed the order with.

It made sense for him to be here since I dealt with him directly. But who were the others?

At their feet were several large wooden crates, presumably containing the items I ordered. However, the three men looked unusually nervous.

Perhaps it was because they found themselves before the lord of the estate, but I couldn’t be sure.

As I puzzled over the situation, my eyes met Liesel’s.

“They’re the guild head and the master craftsman of the workshop—creators of those items,” Liesel explained, gesturing toward the large sculpture of a bear and a giant beast, Riana, displayed on the wall shelves.

Ah, I see. These two are the skilled but somewhat business-challenged experts.

“Hello,” I greeted the two men who bowed their heads at the introduction.

“That’s the stuff I ordered, right? Did you bring it here because of an issue?”

“Not an issue, per se,” Liesel replied. “But since these are going into Seriana’s room, I thought it’d be prudent to inspect the contents first. That’s why I called you over.”

“I see…”

Well, it’s true there could be some unexpectedly extravagant items included.

No wonder the three craftsmen were pale—they probably expected to simply deliver the items, only to be brought before the lord and surrounded by soldiers.

“Alright, let’s get this over with. Can I open the crates myself?”

It’s not like opening them will diminish their value, and verifying the contents in front of everyone isn’t an issue.

But since these were custom-made, I wanted to be the first to see them.

“Go ahead,” Liesel said with a smile, instructing the soldiers to remove the nails sealing the wooden crates.
