There’s probably no danger, and I think it’s safe to use it in this room… but just in case, I should get permission first.

“Sure. Try using it there.”

Seriana pointed at the wall and said that.

When I tested the tail, I used that spot near the wall as well, but at some point, Alec and Elena had moved between me and Seriana, and the others seemed to be keeping an eye out as well.

I should be careful.

Keeping that in mind, I stepped down from the 【Floating Orb】 and walked over to the wall.

I was more than five meters away from everyone.

I didn’t know exactly how it would activate, but at this distance, there shouldn’t be any problems.

“Alright, here goes.”

I focused my attention on the bangle attached to my left wrist.

The method of activation was probably the same as 【Serpent’s Tail】.

Imagining an extra arm sprouting out… nuh nuh nuh.

“Oh?”

The bangle emitted a faint light and then disappeared from my wrist.

“Huh?”

Seriana also raised her voice in surprise as she saw it.

From what I could tell, my appearance hadn’t changed, and I still hadn’t grown another arm.

Looks like it’s a two-step activation type, like 【Serpent’s Tail】.

I closed my eyes and checked my body’s sensations for anything unusual. I felt a faint warmth near my back and waist.

I couldn’t see it through my clothes, but there was probably a tattoo-like mark there.

If that’s the case, I just need to focus on that area again…

“Hup! …Oh?”

When I tried activating it again, I felt a strange sensation on my back.

It wasn’t unpleasant, but there was definitely something there… just like when I tried the tail.

Once I got used to it, I’d be able to move it freely like an extra limb, but this was my first time using 【Monkey’s Arm】. Even though it resembled something I was familiar with, I couldn’t quite control it as smoothly yet.

“Alright.”

I focused on the movement and managed to bring what I assumed was the arm around to the front.

The arm curled in from my left side, black and featureless.

Just like 【Serpent’s Tail】.

Opening and closing my hand… no issues.

I tried shaking my right hand with it. Something about it felt… cool to the touch.

I couldn’t feel anything from 【Monkey’s Arm】 itself, so I wasn’t sure how the sense of touch worked with it.

I’ll have to test that later.

For now, I decided to keep testing its capabilities, moving it around in circles and trying different motions. As I was doing that, Seriana spoke up.

“It doesn’t seem like there’s a problem. Come over here.”

“Okay.”

I quickly walked over to Seriana, who turned me around as soon as I arrived.

Then, everyone began inspecting my back.

It was probably growing from my back, but I hadn’t felt my clothes tear, so this seemed to be like the tail in that regard.

“Hold still.”

“…Okay.”

I tried moving the arm again, but Seriana scolded me.

“Hey, what does it look like?”

I couldn’t see it myself. Since everyone was gathered, I figured I might as well ask.

“It’s growing a little to the left of your back. It’s under your clothes… but nothing’s torn. Just like 【Serpent’s Tail】.”

I felt someone tugging my collar — Seriana must have been peeking inside.

As I thought, it was as expected.

But what about that shoulder guard Alec mentioned? Was that a fake?

“Sera, could you grab my hand for a moment?”

“Huh? Sure.”

Alec reached out his hand, so I grasped it with 【Monkey’s Arm】.

I wasn’t sure how much strength to use, so I moved slowly and carefully… but it was surprisingly easy to control. Just like I had imagined.

Maybe because it was within my field of vision?

After shaking hands and tapping his hand a bit, Alec let go after confirming something.

“Yeah, it looks the same as before. Seems like the shoulder guard trick was just a disguise.”

Alec said that with a wry smile.

It wasn’t really a trick, but rather a way to mislead, and he didn’t seem angry about it.

I guess that’s just how things go between adventurers.

“Well, if you can hide it, that’s for the best in case of emergencies. People won’t usually check under sleeves or inside clothes. Just like Sera’s 【Serpent’s Tail】… this could come in handy.”

“I agree.”

Both of them chuckled.

Yeah… keeping something hidden for surprise attacks or emergencies was probably a good idea.

Come to think of it, I also disguised 【Shadow Sword】 with a ring or nail polish.

It’s kind of similar.

Now, about the guys… they’re all good, but…

“This is getting heavy.”

“Oh… well, I guess for one arm, it has decent strength.”

The girls, instead of touching it directly, had pulled wooden boxes and other objects from the shelves and were piling them onto a tray balanced on 【Monkey’s Arm】.

They were probably testing its strength, but unlike the tail, this arm seemed to have similar strength to my actual arms.

I guessed the load was about 10 kilograms, and I was starting to feel the strain. It was roughly equivalent to having two arms’ worth of strength.

I’ll need to keep testing, but if I’ve gained an extra arm that’s both reasonably strong and fairly dexterous, I could find a lot of useful applications for it.

Since there’s still a bit of time before our departure, and we won’t be heading into any dungeons before then, I guess I’ve found something useful to kill time with.
