Chapter 11: Let’s Turn Back Together
“Or rather, why do you think I would be interested in someone like that?”
Jiang Sheng’s arrogant and flamboyant demeanor didn’t make him seem arrogant and ridiculous. His background and his name represented absolute power.
He looked down on everyone equally.
The people who hung out with him were truly idiots if they couldn’t tell the difference between right and wrong.
Chen Jinshi pondered the Crown Prince’s words, wanting to speak but stopping himself, then speaking again, asking: “You’re not interested in her, so what were you doing to help her before?”
Li Yuchen crossed his arms. Based on his understanding of this guy, he guessed it was because he had something to play with.
“What’s wrong with that Shen Wanwan?”
Jiang Sheng said out of the blue: “Do you guys believe in gods in this world?”
The three of them shook their heads simultaneously.
Then they nodded simultaneously. Chen Jinshi said: “I don’t know about other gods, but there’s definitely this evil god of yours.”
The other two laughed without any image. Jiang Sheng was like the King of Hell in the world, alright.
Even the Jade Emperor would have to check his Book of Life and Death.
Jiang Sheng sneered, a playful curve forming at the corner of his lips: “So no one can stir up trouble under my nose.”
“Third Brother, let’s go boxing.” Chen Jinshi was itching for a fight again. Since they were already here, it would be a waste of time to go home without having some fun.
Jiang Sheng didn’t refuse, stood up, and the group left.
Ping An Jing
Ning Qiutang opened a VIP room.
The sisters sat together and continued to party.
They called over a few male models to dance.
Yu Jiaojiao, half-drunk, leaned against her: “Everything in this world is fake, only my money is real.”
“These male models are all better at flattering than Pei Tingxu. I really owe him, but I can’t let him go, what do you think I should do?”
She started to cry.
She, the dignified young lady, was actually heartbroken over a man.
Ning Qiutang wiped her tears, thinking about what happened in her previous life. She gently persuaded her: “He’s a big star, he belongs to millions of fans, not you.”
“Jiaojiao, no matter how hard you try, people who don’t like you won’t like you. So don’t hurt yourself, because he won’t know, and he won’t feel sorry for you.”
“Let’s turn back together.”
“Turn back? You don’t like Jiang Sheng anymore?” Yu Jiaojiao was confused, looking up at her good friend with a look of enlightenment.
Ning Qiutang said with a calm heart: “Yes, I don’t like him anymore. Letting go isn’t that hard.”
Yu Jiaojiao pinched her face and looked at her intently: “I don’t believe you, Tangtang, you like him. If he looks at you again, you’ll immediately run towards him.”
Ning Qiutang shook her head: “I won’t.”
Yu Jiaojiao leaned against her, mumbling: “Wait… wait until the last concert is over, then I’ll let go.”
Finally, Ning Qiutang called her brother and asked him to come pick up Yu Jiaojiao.
As they were sending them off, they ran into Lu Wangshu, whom they had met at the club, outside.
The two of them looked at each other across the corridor.
It was as if they had crossed an entire time and space.
Lu Wangshu walked towards her: “Miss Ning, what a coincidence.”
The man was gentle and elegant, with a charming demeanor.
Ning Qiutang nodded politely: “Mr. Lu, thank you for before.”
Lu Wangshu’s gentle gaze fell on her: “It’s nothing, if you don’t mind, can I have your contact information?”
Ning Qiutang was stunned, immediately shaking her head.
Her expression was complex, as if she had some reservations.
Their ending in the previous life was not good, and she didn’t want to continue to harm him. For the sake of her goal, she made him pay too much, and she also made him live a miserable life.
It would be better if we just crossed paths in this life and forgot about each other.
“I’m going now,” Ning Qiutang said, leaving with her friend.
Lu Wangshu watched her leave silently, his gaze lingering.
“I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before. What a beautiful and lovely girl.”
The secretary couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Lu, this is a place where gold is everywhere in the capital, while Miss Ning is like the moon in the sky, we’re not from the same world.”
“Also, Miss Ning has a marriage contract with the heir of the top-tier family, the Jiang family. This is known throughout the circle.”
A hint of unwillingness flashed in Lu Wangshu’s eyes: “Anything is possible.”
The secretary remained silent.
…
Ning Qiutang woke up early to go to school.
She called Yu Jiaojiao, hoping she hadn’t drunk herself silly last night.
They agreed to meet at school.
Ning Qiutang brought a new lunchbox to school.
She ran into Jiang Sheng at the school gate.
The young man, dressed in a plain white shirt and blue pants, made even the ordinary school uniform look like a designer piece. With the bright sunshine, he was even more dazzling.
It was rare for him to be on time.
Ning Qiutang sighed inwardly, her mind clear as she entered the school.
She walked with a limp, but unexpectedly, Jiang Sheng naturally followed behind her.
As they approached each other, people around them turned to look.
Jiang Sheng took her bag, and she looked up at the person walking beside her in surprise.
“Give it back,” she said, her heart racing, trying to suppress the wild branches that had wrapped around her heart like cling film.
Jiang Sheng took her bag, his eyes lowered as he looked at her small and helpless figure, a hint of malice in his gaze. His eyebrows raised slightly, his posture casual: “No.”
“I’ll carry it for you.”
Ning Qiutang thought he was being strange. Didn’t he hate being in contact with her? “Then I don’t want it.”
She refused to fight, turned and walked away, her injured ankle slowing her pace, making her seem even more resolute.
Jiang Sheng followed behind, carrying her bag, his steps matching hers. His gaze fell on the girl’s slender and delicate figure.
“You really don’t want it? There’s a love letter in your bag, who is it for?”
Hearing the boy’s words, Ning Qiutang’s face flushed, suddenly remembering that there was indeed a love letter in her bag. She was furious and turned back, glaring at him with red eyes.
“Why did you look through my bag?”
Jiang Sheng hadn’t actually touched her bag, he was just talking nonsense. Seeing her reaction, he pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth, his eyes filled with a playful smile.
“There really is one.”
He was about to open her bag.
Ning Qiutang, without thinking, rushed forward to grab her bag.
“Don’t touch it, I hate you!”
She was furious and reached for her bag, but the boy picked her up, making her seem like she was throwing herself into his arms. She grabbed his clean school uniform, her face flushed.
Jiang Sheng wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her slightly, the distance between them becoming even more ambiguous. His jet-black eyes stared at her flushed face, a soft laugh escaping his lips: “You hate me, why are you hugging me?”
Ning Qiutang’s face instantly turned crimson!
In front of everyone, what was this if not flirting?
But she knew this boy’s mischievous nature. He didn’t like her, yet he deliberately teased her. He was just bad.
“I just… I just lost my balance. How can you, Jiang Sheng, be so self-righteous?”
She stood tall and straight, looking directly at him.
Only by being bold could you make others ashamed.
She didn’t care anymore, she wasn’t afraid of him.
