Chapter 12: Why Do I Seem So Good-Tempered?
Unfortunately, she was wrong about one thing. Jiang Sheng was more shameless than most people. He had no sense of face or self-esteem, and it was impossible to make him feel embarrassed.
Therefore, Ning Qiutang’s words fell on deaf ears to the Crown Prince.
Jiang Sheng released her, his expression unreadable. The carefree charm in his eyes always made people flustered. He said with a mischievous smile, “What to do, I’m just infatuated with you.”
Ning Qiutang glanced at her backpack, which he was easily carrying. She should have packed more things when she went out today.
The young man’s gaze was like a torch, as hot as the sun.
She touched her face, trying to calm down. “Infatuation is a disease, it needs to be cured.”
“You should make an appointment with Dr. Zhao to see if your brain is alright.”
She turned and walked slowly towards the classroom.
Jiang Sheng followed, watching the girl’s independent and strong appearance without any intention of mocking her. He simply savored the two sentences she had just said.
Even her insults sounded so good.
“Say another two.”
Ning Qiutang was speechless and didn’t want to pay any attention to him.
Back in the classroom, Jiang Sheng returned her backpack.
As if he had really just helped her carry it.
Yu Jiaojiao was still asleep on the desk, but she had ears everywhere and eyes everywhere. She had long known that her best friend and Jiang Sheng, this troublemaker, came together.
They were deskmates.
“You’re so lucky, your crush of many years is sending you to school and even carrying your backpack. Don’t tell me you two are dating?”
Ning Qiutang explained seriously, “No, I will definitely break off the engagement with him. He’s just pure evil. He suddenly became interested in me when I wasn’t chasing him, thinking I was playing hard to get.”
“He thinks I’m still the same as before, easily obtainable and easily discarded. His brief interest in me is not a sudden blessing, but a sign of his imminent demise.”
Yu Jiaojiao touched her forehead, “You don’t have a fever, have you been playing tarot cards lately?”
What’s with her?
Ning Qiutang didn’t know how to explain her situation. Pushing her hand away, she just said, “Pay attention in class.”
Yu Jiaojiao looked at her phone absentmindedly, “Give me your phone, I haven’t voted for Pei Tingxu today.”
“Okay.” Ning Qiutang was a little worried. In her previous life, Yu Jiaojiao became a stalker for that big star in order to be with him.
She even imprisoned Pei Tingxu. Later, when the truth came out, and with the Yu family’s downfall, no one could protect her. She eventually disappeared.
Those who use any means for love will never get love in the end. Those who never love you will never succumb to dirty tactics.
Shen Wanwan looked at the two sisters sitting together and chatting.
The system’s voice echoed in her mind.
Has Ning Qiutang awakened?
【Possibly.】
Shen Wanwan stared at the book on the table, and plans appeared in her mind one after another, foolproof plans.
After school.
It was their group’s turn to clean.
Shen Wanwan didn’t want to be in the same group as Ning Qiutang, so she switched with someone else.
Ning Qiutang looked at her warily, then took the broom to sweep the floor.
Yu Jiaojiao sat on the chair, blowing bubbles boredly.
“Shen Wanwan, you’re sick, you’re like a ghost that won’t go away.”
Shen Wanwan explained with an innocent face, “Yu Jiaojiao, why are you always targeting me? Hu classmate really wasn’t feeling well, so he switched with me.”
“Wanwan, don’t explain. What’s the point of explaining to them? They think they’re better than everyone else just because they have a little money and they’ve been picking on you for a while now.”
Shu Hui, sitting next to her, said sarcastically.
Yu Jiaojiao suddenly kicked the table, her eyes narrowed, glaring at them: “Say another word and I’ll tear your mouth apart. Who do you think you are?”
The young miss’ temper flared up in an instant.
Shu Hui rolled her eyes, not afraid of her threat at all. Just because she has a little money, she acts like she’s the boss. What’s the big deal?
Shen Wanwan, with her strong sense of justice, stood in front of her: “Yu Jiaojiao, if you have something to say, say it to me, don’t bully others.”
Damn it.
Yu Jiaojiao cursed under her breath, her anger rising. This little tea-drinker.
Ning Qiutang sighed, taking the blackboard eraser and doing her own thing.
Just finish it and get out of here.
The atmosphere in the classroom was tense.
“Oh, Jiang Sheng is here. Wanwan is definitely here to see you.”
Shu Hui tugged on Shen Wanwan’s clothes. He’s so handsome.
Unfortunately, such a handsome guy would never give them a second glance.
Shen Wanwan walked over confidently: “Jiang Sheng, you’re just in time. The teacher said there’s a test…”
She stopped mid-sentence.
She saw Jiang Sheng walk straight in, heading towards the girl who was wiping the blackboard at the podium.
The setting sun cast its golden glow through the window.
It was as if the young man brought the light of the sun with him, romantic and dazzling.
Ning Qiutang, because of her height, couldn’t reach the top of the blackboard, so she was about to get a chair.
She turned her head and saw him.
Jiang Sheng was holding something in his hand. He naturally took the blackboard eraser from her and wiped the board clean.
Everyone in the classroom stared at this scene in disbelief.
Ning Qiutang was stunned for a few seconds, frowning at him: “Shen Wanwan is down there.”
Jiang Sheng lowered his eyes slightly, his eyelids casting a shadow over his eyes. He handed the lunchbox to the girl, not even looking at the person below.
“I came to find you.” He said directly.
Ning Qiutang looked at the lunchbox in her arms, the same one as the one she broke the other day, feeling a little unbelievable.
Is this still the infamous troublemaker, Jiang Sheng, of the capital?
Shen Wanwan’s bright smile froze, looking at the male lead who was actively interacting with the vicious female lead in disbelief.
The male lead, who should have instinctively repelled the vicious female lead and felt extreme disgust, was actually showing such special attention to Ning Qiutang.
The broom in her hand was almost broken.
Yu Jiaojiao laughed three times, jumped off the table and said sarcastically: “The Crown Prince has truly turned over a new leaf. Look at the expression on your face, it’s so ugly. If Jiang Sheng doesn’t like you, I’ll definitely help you spread the word.”
Ning Qiutang looked at him in confusion: “What do you want?”
The lunchbox in her arms was cold, yet it was the first gift he had ever given her.
She wanted to give it back to him.
Jiang Sheng looked at her hand with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. Dare to give it back, and the consequences will be at your own risk.
Ning Qiutang froze, looking at him in distress.
“Let’s go together after school.” He invited proactively.
Yu Jiaojiao could barely contain her smile, constantly provoking Shen Wanwan, whose face was turning green.
Ning Qiutang was surprised, feeling that he was setting a big trap for her, and if she jumped in, it would be no different from jumping into a fire pit.
“No.” She refused decisively.
Jiang Sheng put one hand on the table, pressing her between him and the table. The young man was outstandingly handsome, in the prime of his youth: “Why do I seem so easygoing?”
He was informing her, not asking her opinion.
