Chapter 57: His Hand Was on Her Waist
Ning Qiutang had a few big question marks above her head.
“Sister, you don’t like Big Star Pei, and now you’re not even pretending?”
She had to remind her: “Jiaojiao is only 18 years old now, and Pei Tingxu is already 26.”
Yao Zhi blinked: “So what, Pei Tingxu looks like he’s just in his early 20s.”
“Ahem, Miss Yao, let me remind you, Pei Tingxu is your husband now.”
Ning Qiutang didn’t know what to say. These adults were so complicated.
Yao Zhi sat in her wheelchair, pulling on her clothes and whispering for her to lean down.
Ning Qiutang bent over and leaned closer.
“Actually, we never got married, and we don’t like each other.”
Yao Zhi explained seriously. She had no interest in Big Star Pei, whom everyone wanted to marry.
Ning Qiutang twitched her lips. Is it possible that we already know?
And…
“Miss Yao, you have a microphone on.”
Yao Zhi looked up and found everyone staring at her in surprise.
Including Pei Tingxu, who was still playing the game.
Everyone’s eyes were filled with gossip. What was going on? That was Pei Tingxu! How could anyone dislike him?
And the most ridiculous thing was that Pei Tingxu hadn’t actually married her, yet he brought her out to participate in a variety show. How could others talk about it?
Even Yu Jiaojiao was dumbfounded. Was this sister a little crazy?
Pei Tingxu immediately walked over, “Sorry, don’t mind what she said, we had a fight last night.”
He pushed Yao Zhi away first, probably to go negotiate again.
Yu Jiaojiao put down her game props and walked over to her best friend.
“If you really end up with Pei Tingxu, Yao Zhi will definitely be the main wife. She can’t wait for you to get married right now.”
Ning Qiutang had never seen such a magnanimous rival. She would definitely be the witness for their marriage.
Even Yu Jiaojiao was confused: “This Yao Zhi is a little hard to deal with.”
She’s too unconventional.
An hour later, they reappeared, seemingly having reached an understanding.
The next activity was a water activity.
The program team prepared small boats, with couples working together in pairs to see who could catch the most fish. This also gave them a chance to be alone and get close.
Yao Zhi said she was afraid of water and refused to go.
She invited Yu Jiaojiao to take her place again.
Yu Jiaojiao looked at Pei Tingxu, thinking of refusing.
Pei Tingxu looked like he was compromising and said, “Then I’ll trouble you, Miss Yu.”
Yu Jiaojiao shook her head, “No problem.”
They got on the boat together and slowly paddled to the middle of the river.
Ning Qiutang and Jiang Sheng walked past carrying a box.
“Don’t you want to treat your wound?” she reminded him.
The young man was very cold: “No need.”
Yao Zhi immediately stopped them, “Miss Ning, can you come over here for a moment?”
Ning Qiutang nodded and went over to see what she wanted again.
This time, Yao Zhi was smarter and turned off the microphone.
“What’s up?” Ning Qiutang looked at her, everyone was so strange.
But this didn’t seem like what Jiang Sheng said, that everyone had to follow the script.
Yao Zhi pleaded, “Can you help me find someone?”
Ning Qiutang thought about what she said last night, and she already had someone else in mind.
“Who are you looking for? Why do you think I can find them, or even agree to this request?”
It’s just weird.
Yao Zhi explained reasonably, “Half of your Ning family’s business is overseas, dealing with foreign trade, and the person I’m looking for has been abroad.”
“If you help me, I have a way to get them together.”
It seemed quite reasonable.
Ning Qiutang looked at the star-chasing girl who was in close contact with her heartthrob in the middle of the river, sighed and agreed: “It seems I have no choice but to agree to you, I can only say I’ll try, I may not be able to find it.”
“Okay, as long as you can help me find it, at least I need to know if they’re alive or dead.” Yao Zhi’s face was complex, she was afraid that the nightmares she often had were real.
Ning Qiutang nodded, gave her her contact information: “I’ll tell you if I have any news, anything else?”
Yao Zhi’s eyes were full of melancholy, she gently shook her head.
Ning Qiutang left with Jiang Sheng.
“Grandpa Jiang is going to check your homework, don’t screw up later.”
She earnestly persuaded the young man who didn’t care about anything.
Jiang Sheng’s eyes were full of wantonness, his thin, emotionless eyes had a hint of tenderness: “I’ll listen to you.”
Ning Qiutang looked at him a few more times, it seemed that after several frank talks, he had changed quite a bit.
She was even surprised more than once, Jiang Sheng actually had this side.
In the RV, she let Jiang Sheng go up and put her books and test papers on the table.
After a while, Grandpa Jiang’s video call came through.
Ning Qiutang put the phone on the table, turned the camera to face them.
“Grandpa Jiang, good afternoon, have you eaten?”
Jiang Sheng watched her polite appearance and chuckled, she was really a good student.
Grandpa Jiang was smiling, but when he saw his mischievous grandson, he was furious: “Jiang Sheng, you’re not even as polite as a little girl?”
“Don’t you know what it means to respect the elderly and love the young?”
Jiang Sheng lazily pulled at his eyelids, his rebellious look was arrogant and arrogant: “Then I’ll call you grandpa, can you live a year longer?”
“You little bastard, if you make me angry again, I’ll hang myself at your door tomorrow.” Grandpa Jiang was so angry that he blew his beard and stared, this stinky boy was so unruly.
Jiang Sheng replied: “Then I’ll put a chair for you, so you won’t be able to climb up.”
Ning Qiutang quickly covered Prince Jiang’s mouth when the two grandfathers were about to quarrel: “Say less, I really want Grandpa to live a few more years.”
Jiang Sheng naturally took the opportunity to hug the girl’s slender waist, raised his eyebrows and teased her as she leaned on him: “Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
Grandpa Jiang stared at the two of them on the phone screen, he knew what was going on.
“Without my matchmaking, you wouldn’t have such a good fiancée, and you still dare to talk to me like that, heh.”
Jiang Sheng looked at the nagging old man again, his eyes seemed to be saying thank you to his eight generations of ancestors.
“Forget it, you two study hard, Tangle, your grandma made lotus cake, I’ll have someone send it to you later, don’t forget to rest while studying, don’t tire yourself out.”
After saying that, Grandpa Jiang hung up the phone.
Ning Qiutang glared resentfully at the mischievous young master, let go of him and sat aside: “Don’t tell me you’re deliberately provoking your elders just to make them not seem like cold, emotionless programs.”
“My Ningning is so smart, you know what I’m thinking, is this called a telepathic connection?” Jiang Sheng’s hand on her waist was slapped away, he said to himself, as if he was quite happy.
Ning Qiutang was slightly stunned, it was true.
“Oh, hurry up and do your homework, don’t talk to me.” She handed him the pen and told him to hurry up.
It’s good to have someone write homework for free.
