Chapter 60: Her Unrequited Love and Herself
Thinking about this.
Ning Qiutang opened her phone and glanced at the messages.
Yu Jiaojiao was still at the camp, sending her a video.
“Baby, you told him not to move, and he really didn’t move. Will he settle the score with you later?”
Ning Qiutang saw the time the message was sent, just a few minutes ago. Jiang Sheng had been standing in the sun with the stone for so long?
She didn’t feel sorry for him. Compared to the suffering she had endured, this was nothing. She was just a little apprehensive. Would he really plan to retaliate against her?
Forget it, she couldn’t cause any more trouble before leaving. The best situation now was for everyone to be happy.
She called Yu Jiaojiao.
“Hey baby, what’s wrong?” Yu Jiaojiao answered quickly.
Ning Qiutang first asked, “How’s your hand?”
Yu Jiaojiao was eating something: “It’s alright. Are you thinking of having me tell Jiang Sheng that he doesn’t have to stand anymore?”
Ning Qiutang hummed: “By the way, you must keep our trip abroad a secret.”
Yu Jiaojiao: “I know, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone.”
After hanging up the phone, Ning Qiutang turned to Ning Xiaoyao: “My relationship with Jiang Sheng isn’t as close as you think. People need to have stories, why do you want to get others involved in everything?”
“The family heirloom, I’ll go with you to get it.”
Thinking about the evil deeds of Lu Feisheng and his group of young masters, she wondered if there was a good way to get out of it.
There was, Xiao Moli.
Xiao Moli was Lu Feisheng’s sister, well, not anymore, but she was the only one in the world who could make him wary.
Ning Xiaoyao thought that his sister, a girl, might be walking into a trap: “Sister, no matter what, you should ask Brother Jiang first. What if he agrees to come? And how is this spineless? This is called knowing when to retreat.”
Ning Qiutang rolled her eyes at him: “Don’t be a nuisance, don’t look for Jiang Sheng. Remember, stay away from them in the future.”
“Why? You still have an engagement with him, why stay away from him.”
Although Ning Xiaoyao knew his sister wanted to break off the engagement with Jiang Sheng, doing this now was no different from breaking off all ties.
Ning Qiutang reached out and patted his head: “I mean you stay away from him.”
She needed to temporarily appease Jiang Sheng, who was prone to anger, and retreat to advance. At least on the surface, they needed to maintain a balance.
She dragged Ning Xiaoyao out.
Ning Qiutang told Wang Shu to go to the Yu family first.
“Sister, why are you going to the Yu family? Lu Feisheng and his group are at the night banquet.”
Ning Xiaoyao reminded his sister not to go to the wrong place.
Ning Qiutang glared at him. She didn’t know if this silly brother was truly worried or just pretending: “Don’t worry about it, I can get the thing back for you anyway. And this is the last time. Ning Xiaoyao, if you mess up again, don’t expect me to take care of you anymore.”
“I know, sister, I was wrong. I’ll listen to you from now on.” Ning Xiaoyao quickly grabbed her clothes and apologized sincerely.
Ning Qiutang shook off his hand. She knew he would just say it with his mouth, but would he ever actually do it?
They soon arrived at the Yu family. She told the butler that she was visiting Miss Yu.
Then she was led to the flower room.
Yu Moli loved flowers. Because she couldn’t see, she could only smell and hear them. The white-dressed girl carefully tended to her flowers, her expression full of anticipation.
Ning Qiutang noticed that there were some cards hanging on some of the flowers, each with a blessing on it.
It was probably sent by Lu Feisheng.
They had grown up together, and could be considered childhood sweethearts. Later, they separated, and Lu Feisheng continued to take care of his former sister.
“Hello?” Yu Moli smelled the scent of a stranger, her hollow eyes looking in her direction.
Ning Qiutang walked over, taking her hand and holding it: “Hello, Miss Yu, do you remember me? I’m Ning Qiutang.”
Yu Moli felt the cool temperature in her palm, her lips curving into a faint smile: “I remember, Miss Ning. Is there something you need?”
She was familiar with her own flower room, leading Ning Qiutang to sit at the tea table, she gracefully brewed tea and offered it to her guest.
“Then I’ll get straight to the point, Miss Moli. Lu Feisheng designed to win away my brother’s mother’s heirloom, which is a bit disgraceful. Can you help me get it back?”
“If we, the younger generation, can’t settle this privately, if it gets out, it will be embarrassing for both families, and Lu Feisheng will inevitably be punished.”
Ning Qiutang did have another option, which was to make a big fuss and let the elders of both families settle it, but that would be disadvantageous, and she would have another enemy.
Ning Xiaoyao curiously looked at the girl his sister was taking seriously. Could she really help?
He absolutely didn’t mean to look down on the blind, but why would Lu Feisheng listen to her? That young master’s temper was like he had a bone in his throat.
Yu Moli hadn’t heard that name in a long time. Her face was a little sad and lonely: “Why did Brother Lu design to snatch your brother’s family heirloom?”
Ning Qiutang kicked her brother: “You tell her, why?”
Ning Xiaoyao stammered: “How else, he just can’t stand seeing others happy. I don’t know who pissed him off, he just had to find someone to make an example of.”
“I did have a bit of a spotlight that day, but it’s not like I drove him to death. Miss Yu, I definitely didn’t intentionally provoke him.”
Yu Moli knew Lu Feisheng’s temper. He could indeed get angry for no reason.
“I can’t guarantee that I can help you get it back, but let’s give it a try.”
Ning Qiutang said apologetically: “I have no choice but to come and bother you. If you’re too embarrassed or unwilling, it’s okay, I’ll think of other ways.”
“I and my brother… Brother Lu have been separated for two years. It’s been so long, I should see him again.”
Yu Moli shook her head, indicating that it wasn’t a big deal. The main thing was that she missed Lu Feisheng. He used to help her take care of these flowers and sing to her.
But now no one treated her like that anymore, it was so lonely.
Ning Qiutang breathed a sigh of relief, helping her walk out: “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you. Even if my brother and I get into trouble, you’ll be safe.”
“Are you saying Brother Lu will hurt me? He won’t, Brother Lu is the best person to me in the world.”
Yu Moli smiled slightly, her hand tightening around hers, the smile on her face deepened. She was even looking forward to seeing Lu Feisheng again.
She didn’t understand, why hadn’t Brother Lu come to see her in two years? Was he really going to forget her?
Ning Qiutang thought about how in the last life, they seemed to be looking at each other, only to end in disappointment. There was a bit of a sigh. Was there a misunderstanding between them?
Tsk, it seemed like they hadn’t been in touch since Yu Moli returned to the Yu family.
Was she playing matchmaker for them?
“Yes, Lu Feisheng is the best and most special to you, that’s why I came to you.” Ning Qiutang looked at Miss Yu, who was full of springtime love, as if she also saw herself, who couldn’t love.
And now she dared not love.
