Chapter 9: You’re Going to Cry at the Grave?
Ning Qiutang didn’t know why, no matter what she did, she couldn’t change her fate of being entangled with him to the death. She was trapped in a web, with no escape.
Finally, she finished applying the medicine, her wrists aching. She rubbed them wearily.
Jiang Sheng waited for the medicine to dry before putting on his clothes. The landline in the room rang, and he went inside to answer it.
Ning Qiutang tidied up the things on the floor.
Then Jiang Sheng grabbed his car keys and prepared to go out.
Ning Qiutang stood up and asked him, “Where are you going?”
Today, the old man had already flown into a rage, and he was still going out.
What was the point of her not mentioning the annulment? It was better to let him be beaten to death.
Jiang Sheng glanced at her and said, “Shanhe Club. Your good friend and our people are fighting.”
Chen Jinshi had called him, saying that if he didn’t go, someone would die.
Ning Qiutang immediately followed: “Yu Jiaojiao is in trouble, I’m going too.”
Jiang Sheng saw her constantly crying, weak and helpless, half-disabled. “You’re going to cry at the grave?”
Ning Qiutang felt hurt and looked down, looking very sad.
Jiang Sheng bent down and picked her up, walking outside.
Ning Qiutang looked at him cautiously, afraid that he would get angry and throw her into the nearby lotus pond.
She suddenly realized that the lotus flowers in the Jiang family’s garden were very beautiful.
“Your family must have bad feng shui.”
Jiang Sheng: “Yeah, otherwise, why would you marry me and be my lucky charm?”
Ning Qiutang was full of question marks, lucky charm, her?
“I have depression, you’re talking about bad luck.”
Jiang Sheng frowned: “Did I say that?”
Ning Qiutang blinked, okay, she said that in her previous life, she hadn’t said it yet in this life.
“You’ll say it sooner or later.”
Jiang Sheng disliked her confident tone, and he deliberately contradicted her: “I can’t say it at noon, or in the evening, I have to say it in the morning?”
Ning Qiutang: “…”
The Jiang family members were all shocked to see their little prince finally willing to hold a woman in his arms and be close to the opposite sex.
Grandpa Jiang and Grandma Jiang watched silently.
“I think this should work out. The fortune teller said this is a match made in heaven, how could it be wrong?”
Grandma Jiang smiled, looking at her grandson with relief for finally coming to his senses.
Grandpa Jiang sat down and drank tea: “That girl didn’t mention annulment on impulse, she must be serious. I couldn’t stop her several times. Grandchildren have their own blessings. If we can’t help it, we can’t force them.”
Grandma Jiang held the orange cat in her arms and said: “I think there’s hope. A Sheng was cold and indifferent before, making the little girl sad. Now the ice has melted. The girl can like him once, she can like him twice. I’ve been there. As long as A Sheng is ambitious, this wife will still be his, no one can snatch her away.”
“However, there needs to be some turbulence between these two youngsters. How can they achieve a happy ending without experiencing the storms of life?”
The old lady wanted to arrange things properly.
On the way to the Shanhe Club.
Ning Qiutang tightly grasped the handrail in the car, even though her seatbelt was fastened, she still felt unsafe.
“Third Brother… can you drive slower?”
Jiang Sheng never listened to anyone, always doing his own thing. Hearing the woman’s sweet voice beside him, he clearly felt scared.
He slowed down and drove normally.
“When you were riding your motorcycle and roaring down the street, with the throttle at full blast, why weren’t you afraid?”
Ning Qiutang said with a grievance: “I was afraid, but because… because you like playing with motorcycles, I wanted to try what you like. I won’t play with them anymore.”
Jiang Sheng’s fingers gently rubbed the steering wheel, listening to her honest words, a wave of annoyance surged in his heart.
He had already touched the lighter and cigarette case, glanced at the fragile girl, and put them back.
They arrived at the Shanhe Club.
They went in one after the other.
They were both regulars at this club, and could enter with a face scan.
But when they got to the back, Ning Qiutang was stopped. She looked at the security guard at the door in bewilderment.
“Miss, you need a membership card.”
Mainly because Ning Qiutang wasn’t wearing heavy makeup or anything particularly extravagant, the security guard didn’t recognize her. And she was so pure and beautiful, looking like a naive little girl, they had a duty to stop her.
Ning Qiutang said with a bitter face, “My last name is Ning!”
“Even if your last name is Emperor, you can’t get in.” The security guard dutifully stopped her.
Jiang Sheng stood with his hand in his pocket, watching her unable to get in, a slight smile on his lips, looking on with cold eyes.
Ning Qiutang frowned at the boy who wasn’t going to help.
“This is someone I brought, let her in.” A man in a suit came up from behind, looking mature.
The mature man’s charm was overwhelming, coupled with his superior face that made people remember him at a glance, his polite demeanor easily won people over.
“Mr. Lu.” The two security guards quickly let them in.
Lu Wangshu looked politely at the little girl, seeing that she was having trouble walking, he said, “Shall I help you?”
Ning Qiutang was stunned, and the next second, she was held in the arms of the indifferent boy.
Jiang Sheng glanced at the other man with cold arrogance, contemptuous and arrogant, and took Ning Qiutang away.
Lu Wangshu watched them leave, and his secretary said, “That seems to be Jiang Sheng, the heir of the Jiang family.”
“As for that girl, she might be Ning Qiutang, the eldest daughter of the Ning family.”
Lu Wangshu suddenly said, “Autumn grass adorns red fragrance, spring sleep awakens late makeup, not a delicate posture to relieve sorrow, human beings have their own tender intestines.”
“Good name, the person is as the name suggests.”
Ning Qiutang wrapped her arms around the boy’s neck, stretching her head to look at the handsome man behind.
It was him, Lu Wangshu.
In her last life, he said he was willing to marry her, but in the end, things didn’t go as planned. He couldn’t fulfill his promise, nor could he get what he wanted.
“How do you know him?” Jiang Sheng put her down, seeing her nostalgic expression, his eyes darkened.
Ning Qiutang came back to her senses, and said with a worried frown, “It’s none of your business.”
Jiang Sheng gritted his back teeth, pushed open the door, and just as someone threw a wine bottle, it was about to hit her.
Ning Qiutang was about to dodge, but Jiang Sheng caught the bottle with perfect accuracy.
There were quite a few people inside.
Chen Jinshi led his people, and Yu Jiaojiao led her people, neither of them giving way.
In the middle stood the harmless Shen Wanwan.
Shen Wanwan’s eyes lit up when she saw Jiang Sheng, who had been missing for a whole day: “Jiang Sheng, you’re here.”
Then she saw the woman he was protecting, and her face changed.
Ning Qiutang pushed the boy away and went to her best friend: “Jiaojiao, what’s going on?”
Yu Jiaojiao saw her too, and said sarcastically, like she had eaten dynamite: “What else could be going on? Damn it, even eating a meal is not peaceful. This woman messed up my friend’s birthday party, I only slapped her once, and it was a mercy.”
Chen Jinshi immediately defended: “You’re full of shit, she clearly wouldn’t come to your side, if you hadn’t deliberately brought her over, she would have attacked you. You should have a conscience when doing things, you damn conscience was eaten by a dog.”
