Chapter 19 Things Get Intense—The Mad Male Lead Wants to Send Me Away?!
The next morning, Xia Yuan woke up feeling a bit of pain in her lower abdomen. She rushed to the bathroom and discovered that her period had arrived.
Qin Mohuai knocked on the door, his voice low and hoarse from sleep, “Baby, I need to relieve myself. I can’t hold it any longer.”
What the hell.
Are all men just full of bodily needs?
At first, Xia Yuan envied Qin Mohuai for being tall, handsome, and rich, but now she only envied him for having smooth bowel movements every day.
Who understands the value of “having smooth bowel movements every day”?
Xia Yuan weakly opened the door, pressing her hand against her abdomen.
“You can go ahead.”
“I don’t feel like it right now,” Qin Mohuai said, narrowing his eyes. He leaned in and stole a kiss from her cheek. “Did you get your period?”
“Yeah.”
He kissed her again, gently patting her back. “You’ve worked hard, baby.”
Xia Yuan leaned against him, her soft curves being squished together. Her heart raced a little faster; it was surprisingly touching that he cared about her period… Sometimes he really was warm-hearted.
So was Qin Mohuai caring for her, or for himself?
Tsk.
She had become as sensitive as Qin Mohuai—how on earth had that happened?
If she didn’t finish her quest soon, she might fall into the devil’s lair, with no way out.
When Qin Mohuai wasn’t going crazy, he was genuinely attractive, Xia Yuan thought as she touched his sculpted abs.
Due to her discomfort, Xia Yuan lay in Saint Sea Manor for a few days, not even touching the piano she was supposed to practice daily, and she had pushed her quest to the back of her mind.
The blood-stained lace panties had ended up in Qin Mohuai’s hands, as he had carefully chosen them for Xia Yuan to wear the night before.
He even gave this sexy yet artistic piece of lingerie a name.
Xia Yuan’s face flushed, and she wondered if she could pry open Qin Mohuai’s mind to see if he had created a special channel for such matters.
After a few leisurely days, the system began sounding alarm bells for Xia Yuan.
“National Day is coming up soon; you only have two months left! Host, please hurry to complete your quest, or you will face terrible punishment!”
Startled awake, Xia Yuan realized that her love value had stagnated at 88% for days. She pondered that physical intimacy likely wouldn’t work anymore; she needed to appeal to his heart.
Recently, Qin Mohuai had been lamenting that he couldn’t feel her love. If she could make him feel it, the love value should increase significantly.
She wanted to plan something grand to move Qin Mohuai, while he was planning to send her away tonight.
Today, Qin Mohuai woke up early. After getting dressed, he leaned close to Xia Yuan’s pale ear and whispered, “Baby, will you come to the company with me? I really miss you. Please stay with me all day.”
“Okay… I guess,” Xia Yuan replied hesitantly, giving him a look that said ‘I really can’t do anything about you,’ perfectly fitting her role as a spoiled and delicate character.
What could she do to make Qin Mohuai feel her love?
Should she cook him Kung Pao Chicken again?
Last time, that had raised her love value by 5%!
The system couldn’t help but ask, “You’re not even willing to learn a new dish?”
Xia Yuan retorted confidently, “Qin Mohuai said that a girl’s hands are meant for playing the piano, not for housework! Stupid straight man system, you should learn from him!”
—
The system was so furious that it seemed ready to smoke, crackling with electrical sounds.

**Qin Group, Exclusive Elevator Directly to the CEO’s Office.**
When Secretary Cao saw Xia Yuan, his eyes lit up, and he greeted her cheerfully, “Long time no see! Miss Xia, it seems like you’ve grown taller!”
He wouldn’t dare to compliment Miss Xia’s beauty in front of the “Asian King of Jealousy.” As a secretary earning a six-figure salary, he had at least that much emotional intelligence.
In return, Xia Yuan praised Secretary Cao’s well-maintained hairline.
For a moment, the elevator was filled with laughter and light-hearted chatter.
Qin Mohuai suddenly remembered that his wife hadn’t complimented him today. His long, slender fingers tickled her palm. “What about me?”
Xia Yuan responded quickly, looking at him seriously. “Your hair color looks great! The mysterious, restrained gray-blue is stunning. I’ve complimented you in my heart a hundred times since I woke up this morning!”
The pampered wife had managed to draw out a smile from the mad male lead.
Secretary Cao was completely stunned.
Is that how you say sweet nothings?
He learned something new!
After submitting all the meeting materials, Secretary Cao left the CEO’s office and sent a WeChat message to his wife.
[Yunyun, the red dress you wore out today is beautiful! I’ve complimented it in my heart many times, but I didn’t dare to say it out loud.]
It was probably after finishing a meeting that Secretary Cao received a reply from Yunyun.
[Did you secretly take a crash course? Considering you finally got a clue, let’s go buy that Porsche Cayenne you’ve been dreaming of this weekend!]
Secretary Cao was moved to tears but quickly sobered up when he saw Ouyang Jing walking toward him.
“Miss Ouyang, what brings you here…?”
This was the top floor; ordinary employees weren’t allowed up here without permission, let alone Ouyang Jing, an outsider.
Ouyang Jing explained, “Grandpa Qin said I could come and go freely at Qin Group.”
After saying that, she felt like she was boasting and added, “I came to find Mr. Qin today because it’s very important. He dealt with Huang Tao at Tianxi Club, and now Huang Tao seems to have directed all his grievances at me.”
Upon hearing this was a serious matter, Secretary Cao dialed the CEO’s office.
“Mr. Qin, Miss Ouyang has come to see you…”
—
“Mr. Qin, she wants to talk to you about Huang Tao. Do you have time now?”
Qin Mohuai was about to refuse. His time was precious; not just anyone could come in and chat with him. However, glancing toward the lounge, he instructed Secretary Cao to let her in.
Ouyang Jing walked into the office, took the cup of water Secretary Cao handed her, and simply waited for about ten minutes.
Qin Mohuai buried himself in work, not saying a word. She needed his help, but she didn’t dare interrupt him.
When he heard some commotion in the lounge, Qin Mohuai stood up and brewed a pot of coffee.
His suit jacket hung on the rack, the crisp white cuffs rolled up, revealing a long, well-defined forearm. His slender fingers were like jade, and everything he did was pleasing to the eye.
Qin Mohuai poured a cup of coffee for Ouyang Jing.
“Thank you,” she said.
“Not at all,” he replied. “I will handle Huang Tao’s malicious retaliation against the Ouyang Group. Ultimately, this is not your fault, and you shouldn’t have to bear the consequences.”
Secretary Cao, sitting nearby, felt a chill.
President Qin was known for his cold and ruthless nature; he wouldn’t lift a finger for anyone begging for his help.
Now, he had readily agreed to help Ouyang Jing deal with Huang Tao. Was he recognizing her status as his fiancée and backing her up?
What about Miss Xia? Would the delicate young girl be able to withstand the blow of a breakup…?
Just then, the lounge door opened, and a mischievous, dark smile flickered across Qin Mohuai’s eyes.
Ouyang Jing blinked, thinking she might have misseen something.
What was he smiling about?
Xia Yuan, witnessing the scene before her, thought she was seeing things.
What was going on? Were they secretly progressing while she was asleep?
Though a bit socially anxious, Xia Yuan, who was not very perceptive, sat on the sofa not far from them, turning her back to them and even turning on the TV to watch *Peppa Pig*, her mysterious behavior making it hard to decipher…
Qin Mohuai’s smile grew even wider; his jealous little darling was so cute, he wanted to go over and kiss her silly.
Ouyang Jing caught a whiff of his deep, woody fragrance and was about to ask him what perfume he was wearing when she heard Qin Mohuai’s voice sending her off.
With a polite smile, she followed Secretary Cao out of the office.
Perhaps it was time for her to find a boyfriend. With someone as sinisterly handsome as Qin Mohuai, whether he fell in love with you or you fell for him, it was a rather unfortunate situation.
Xia Yuan was suddenly ambushed by Qin Mohuai, who pinched her chin and kissed her, nearly leaving her breathless on the sofa.
Fuming with anger, Xia Yuan viciously scolded him, calling him a bad dog!
Qin Mohuai… was even more excited.
He held her slender waist tightly, making it impossible for her to move. His little wife looked so adorable when she was jealous; even when she was angry, she was still cute.
The overly excited madman would bury his face in her neck, tears in his eyes as he whispered chilling sweet nothings, wanting to swallow her whole.
Reluctant to let her go, he wished to embrace her and sink into hell together, but she was his precious little darling, something he’d traded all his luck for; he couldn’t bear to let her suffer.
“You should leave.”
“?!”
