Chapter 15
Chiye looked at his angry and panicked appearance, feeling somewhat relieved. At least it seemed that the other party wasn’t faking it about this matter.
He needed to teach this hypocritical little trickster a lesson to somewhat calm his heart, which was almost convulsing with pain.
“What if we are both men? Pharmacists are no strangers to this. You must be used to it by now…” Chiye’s voice trailed off.
“You…ugh…bastard!”
…
Ye Baixiao was the kind of person who could endure a lot in bed. He always appeared calm and composed, even though his veins were bulging with effort. He forced Xie Fuyi to beg for mercy and cry, step by deliberate step.
But Chiye was completely different. From the start, he didn’t give you any chance to catch your breath. Like the fiercest beast, he waged war in his own territory, seizing everything with absolute control.
As this almost punishing affair came to an end, Xie Fuyi felt like his bones were about to fall apart.
He gritted his teeth and, with the last ounce of strength, conjured a dagger from his hand and stabbed it fiercely into Chiye’s chest.
Chiye’s movement paused slightly, then he increased the force, grabbing Xie Fuyi’s wrist and pulling him, along with the dagger, deeper into his embrace.
“Don’t worry, there’s a barrier here. Even if you scream your lungs out, no one will find out.”
…
As dawn approached, Xie Fuyi slowly regained consciousness.
He had been too tired from the events of last night and had drifted off into a deep sleep. He moved his sore body slightly, grateful that it was dry after being cleaned up.
Xie Fuyi sighed. He needed to ask the prop team whether they had accidentally bestowed him with the aura of a heartthrob protagonist. How else could both the protagonist and antagonist have eyes for him?
He glanced at the marks on his fair skin, feeling annoyed. Was this snake dragon starving for the past eight hundred years? It was acting like a wild dog…
Suddenly, a surge of spiritual energy entered his waist, instantly relieving the soreness throughout his body. Xie Fuyi turned his head and saw a man with a delicate golden mask covering half of his face, his deep red eyes lazily gazing at him. His voice carried a teasing tone, “No wonder Ye Baixiao is willing to humble himself in front of the Master. The taste is indeed excellent, truly satisfying.”
Xie Fuyi immediately sat up and pushed the blanket away, moving back, keeping a distance from him, glaring at him with eyes almost red from anger. But yesterday’s counterattack made him realize that he was no match for the other party. He would only be more miserable if he resisted.
Xie Fuyi suppressed his anger, clenched his lips, and maintained a cold expression, warning, “Don’t forget what you promised. A dignified Demon Lord wouldn’t go back on his word, would he?”
Chiye’s slightly curved lips paused for a moment, the smile instantly fading. His heart still ached, but he slowly got up, conjured a dark red brocade robe, and put it on.
Then he turned to look at Xie Fuyi’s guarded expression, his gaze falling on Xie Fuyi’s fair and delicate collarbone, and casually replied, “It depends on how you help me.”
Xie Fuyi quickly raised the blanket, distancing himself further from him, and coldly said, “He never guards against me. During breakfast, I’ll put the medicine in his porridge.”
Look at me, the antagonist. I even voluntarily revealed my method of poisoning to the protagonist! The protagonist better have some backbone!
As Xie Fuyi waited for Chiye to uncover the truth, a knocking sounded from outside.
“Master, are you awake? Come out and have something to eat.”
Chiye remembered this voice; it was the same person who disturbed him early in the morning the first time. Unfortunately, Xie Fuyi still cared about this ugly disciple, otherwise…
Chiye clicked his tongue lightly and then disappeared from the room. Luckily, he had thrown a puppet outside the door last night, kneeling there.
Xie Fuyi came back to his senses, but Chiye was already gone.
It seemed that the other party didn’t intend to expose the truth with just the two of them present. Probably, he planned to wait until Xie Fuyi succeeded in poisoning Ye Baixiao, then catch him in the act and deliver a fatal blow!
Thinking this way, Xie Fuyi relaxed. He got up, straightened himself out, and walked out of the room.
Outside the door, Ming Qing was setting up breakfast on the table. When he saw Xie Fuyi coming out, he showed a hint of joy in his eyes. “Master, have some food.”
Xie Fuyi glanced at Ye Baixiao, who was still kneeling at the door, his face slightly pale, but his back still straight.
Is he really pretending?
Xie Fuyi passed by him expressionlessly and walked to the side to have his meal with Ming Qing. After a pause, he said, “Go and invite Yuehua Immortal to join us.”
“Yes.” Ming Qing quickly got up to call Moonlight.
While Ming Qing was away, Xie Fuyi sprinkled the prepared medicine into the porridge. This medicine would make cultivators completely weak.
When he clashed with Ye Baixiao later, Ming Qing would surely protect him. Although Mingqing was just a small cannon fodder, after spending so much time with him, Xie Fuyi couldn’t let him be implicated because of him. He had to let him be affected by the medicine and stay out of the conflict.
As for Yuehua, Xie Fuyi intentionally invited him to witness the true face of his hypocrisy, lest he go astray like the protagonist!
Yuehua was pleasantly surprised when Ming Qing invited him, but when he saw Xie Fuyi’s indifferent demeanor, his expression changed, and he hesitated, wanting to say something but stopped himself.
Xie Fuyi looked at him, remembering the embarrassing scene he had witnessed that day. Concealing his emotions, he said coldly, “Yuehua Immortal’s injuries are already healed. You should return to Yaoxian Sect today.”
Yuehua paused, realizing why Xie Fuyi had invited him to have breakfast together. It turned out he wanted him to leave… He sat down somewhat dejectedly.
Two bowls of porridge were already served in front of them, eaten cautiously.
Ming Qing looked at Ye Baixiao, who was barely standing beside him, unaware of what had happened. He just thought that Ye Baixiao had angered the Master and needed to be punished. But considering Ye Baixiao was still his senior brother, he cautiously spoke, “Master, he has provoked your anger and deserves punishment. But he hasn’t eaten for two days. Shouldn’t we give him something to eat to avoid starving him to death?”
Xie Fuyi stirred the soup in his bowl, indeed intending to do so. His face remained expressionless as he scooped up a bowl of porridge and handed it to Ye Baixiao. “Eat.”
“Master.” Ye Baixiao looked
up at him deeply, his voice slightly hoarse, “Have you forgiven me?”
Xie Fuyi’s expression remained cold, his eyes hiding his emotions as he said calmly, “Ming Qing is right. I can’t let you starve.”
“Thank you, Master.” Ye Baixiao took the bowl of porridge and drank it slowly, but his deep black eyes were fixed on him, unblinking.
Until the bowl was empty.
Ye Baixiao’s face started to turn pale, sweat dripping from his pale forehead due to the pain. He looked at Xie Fuyi, “Master, what’s happening?”
Behind them, Ming Qing and Yuehua also felt weak and collapsed onto the table. Yuehua looked surprised and sniffed the bowl, his face changing, “Is there poison in here?”
Xie Fuyi crouched halfway in front of Ye Baixiao, lips pursed coldly, “This is a poison specially refined for you.”
Ye Baixiao’s lips twitched as he looked at him fixedly, “Why?”
Xie Fuyi was somewhat puzzled. At this point, why didn’t Chiye reveal his identity and expose him? Did he want him to confess again to make the other party give up?
“Because I made a deal with Chiye. I help him kill you, and he helps me enhance my spiritual power.” Xie Fuyi straightened up, his cloak swaying mercilessly as he turned and walked away.
Behind him, Ye Baixiao actually smiled, “I’m actually grateful to you for not deceiving me.”
As he spoke, Ye Baixiao, already affected by the potent poison, slowly fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Mingqing and Moonlight, with disbelief written all over their faces, muttered, “Demon Lord Chiye?”
Yuehua stared at Xie Fuyi intently, “Afuyi, when did you meet the Demon Lord? Don’t let yourself be fooled by the devil!”
Xie Fuyi wanted to roll his eyes in silence: …Big brother, you’ve been drugged by me, and you’re worried about me being deceived by bad people?
