Chapter 87
Xie Fuyi couldn’t quite figure it out. Seeing Xie Tingbai’s demeanor, it seemed like he wasn’t planning to expose his identity just yet.
It wasn’t until they arrived home and saw the flashy sports car in the courtyard that Xie Fuyi finally understood. Such an important matter naturally needed to be announced publicly when everyone was present.
With the parents of the Xie family stuck abroad and unable to return in time, Second Young Master Xie Huaixiao had to come to witness.
Following behind Xie Tingbai, Xie Fuyi entered the hall, where a deep and lazy voice sounded as if it had been waiting for a long time, “Big brother, why did you take so long to come back?”
Xie Fuyi caught sight of a tall man sitting on the sofa in the living room. His extravagant eyebrows arched into his temples, his thin lips sharp as a sword. Clad in a black jacket, he sat there with his legs crossed in a casual manner.
“I picked Yiyi up on the way back. You two sit first, I’ll go get something,” Xie Tingbai explained calmly as he walked upstairs.
Xie Huaixiao was taken aback. Since when did his big brother speak so disgustingly to that kid?
His expression was somewhat strange as his gaze landed on Xie Fuyi.
Xie Fuyi also recalled the description of this Second Brother. Xie Huaixiao had always been a free-spirited person. After graduating from university, he didn’t follow the path of managing the company but instead formed his own racing team and started racing cars. Despite his young age, he had won numerous awards and even earned the title of “Car God.” With his cool driving skills and his handsome face akin to a movie star’s, he was quite the figure.
Face, gained a large number of fans.
Compared to the outwardly gentle Xie Tingbai, Xie Huaixiao encountered him with no shortage of sarcasm. So Xie Fuyi was even more afraid of him, so when he saw someone, he just lowered his head and muttered, “Second Brother.”
Xie Huaixiao only saw a shiny golden head on the other side, and then heard his mosquito-like voice, couldn’t help but sneer and said, “How many times have I told you, when are you going to dye back this yellow hair? It looks terrible.”
Xie Fuyi was still the third young master after all, and he had always been respected when he went out. He instantly forgot his fear of the other party, clenched his fists, raised his head angrily, stared at Xie Huaixiao, and shouted like an exploded fur, “Yellow hair? Do you even have any taste? This is the most popular bright gold color now!”
Xie Fuyi’s cheeks were so swollen with anger that his fair face turned red, and his black and bright eyes stared at people as if they were shining.
Xie Huaixiao was inexplicably stunned for a moment, forgetting even the words he wanted to say. When he came to his senses, he found this younger brother quite interesting.
He stood up and walked over to Xie Fuyi, raising his hand to ruffle his messy hair. Because he was half a head taller than Xie Fuyi, he leaned down slightly, a teasing smile playing at the corner of his lips. “Wow, daring to challenge your Second Brother? Do you believe I’ll grab scissors right now and give you a buzz cut?”
“Get off me!” Xie Fuyi’s eyes reddened with anger. He tried to push away Xie Huaixiao’s arm still on his head, but the latter easily held his wrist and pulled him into an embrace.
Xie Huaixiao was tall and strong, easily restraining Xie Fuyi in his arms. A hint of amusement flashed in his eyes, and a deep, resonant chuckle rumbled in his chest. “Why so fierce with me, Yiyi?”
The elongated, ambiguous tone lingered in Xie Fuyi’s ears, heating up his earlobes with a flush of warmth.
“You bastard, don’t call me that! Let me go!” Xie Fuyi was even angrier now, struggling futilely. But his punches and kicks felt to Xie Huaixiao like the tantrums of a kitten.
Xie Huaixiao raised an eyebrow. Normally, hearing his younger brother curse would only annoy him, but now, why did his soft and gentle voice make even swearing seem harmless? Nevertheless…
With a soft click of his tongue, Xie Huaixiao couldn’t help but find it amusing. Despite just obediently following behind his elder brother like a little kitten, here he was, resisting like this?
He patted Xie Fuyi’s bottom and spoke lazily, feigning seriousness, “No swearing allowed. It seems like big brother needs to teach you some manners.”
Xie Fuyi instantly froze in place, unable to come up with a retort to the other’s stern words, especially after being spanked. Though it didn’t hurt much, for an eighteen-year-old young man, it felt undignified!
“Do you dare to hit me?” Xie Fuyi’s eyes welled up with anger, but his hands were still trapped. All he could do was move his mouth, and in his frustration, he bit down on Xie Huaixiao’s neck.
“Ugh.” Xie Huaixiao grunted softly, his body suddenly stiffening.
The damp warmth mixed with a hint of pain instantly ignited an uncontrollable flame in his heart.
His dark eyes deepened, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and his clearly defined large hands wrapped around the waist of the person in his embrace.
“What are you doing?”
A cold voice suddenly rang out in the quiet living room.
Xie Tingbai had just come upstairs to the study to fetch some documents, only to see the handsome and tall man on the sofa nearly engulfing the beautiful boy in his arms, looking intimately close from afar.
He silently watched this scene, the black eyes beneath his lenses growing dark. No matter how cold his voice, it couldn’t conceal a trace of anger.
The voice was icy and sharp, instantly snapping both men in the living room back to their senses.
Xie Huaixiao’s heart was in turmoil, and he involuntarily let go of the person.
With Xie Huaixiao releasing his grip, Xie Fuyi finally gained his freedom. He quickly moved away and ran to Xie Tingbai’s side, his hair disheveled, his eyes still watery and red with indignation, looking extremely aggrieved.
He began to complain as soon as he opened his mouth, “Big brother, that jerk… Second Brother bullied me! He said my hair is yellow and even threatened to shave it all off!”
Xie Tingbai was momentarily surprised, his gaze shifting as he observed his younger brother’s annoyance towards Xie Huaixiao, feeling somewhat satisfied. Good, his younger brother still knew to come to him when he felt wronged.
Meanwhile, Xie Huaixiao was taken aback, coughing twice in astonishment. What kind of childish tactic was this, tattling like a primary school student? And why did he think Xie Tingbai would help him discipline himself?
Xie Huaixiao’s expression turned sour as he stepped forward to pull Xie Fuyi back to his side. “Yiyi, you’ve misunderstood Second Brother. He wouldn’t bully you, I was just…” He paused, intending to say it was just a joke.
But before he could finish, Xie Tingbai had already taken Xie Fuyi’s hand and led him around Xie Huaixiao to sit on the sofa.
A faint smile on his lips, Xie Tingbai spoke with the authority of an elder sibling, “Huaixiao, how could you still bully your younger brother like this? Haven’t you grown up a bit?”
Xie Huaixiao furrowed his brow, his displeasure evident. He wasn’t afraid of Xie Tingbai, but just as he was about to retort, Xie Tingbai calmly interjected, “Let’s all sit down. I have something to announce.”
Watching Xie Fuyi obediently take his seat and seeing Xie Tingbai’s appearance of trust and compliance, Xie Huaixiao felt extremely uncomfortable. Nevertheless, he begrudgingly took his seat.
This little brat would soon realize how disappointing it was to rely on Xie Tingbai’s trust and support!
Maybe he could begrudgingly give him one last chance.
But in what capacity should he stay?
Xie Huaixiao pondered, his interest piqued.
Meanwhile, Xie Fuyi’s heart trembled. Here it comes! His identity was about to be exposed!
But he would definitely cling to the Xie family by hook or by crook to cause chaos!
“Big brother, what is it?” Xie Fuyi cautiously asked. He had a bad feeling about this.
Sure enough, the next moment, Xie Tingbai spoke up, “The results of last week’s medical examination revealed that your blood type doesn’t match. So I used your blood sample and hair to conduct a paternity test.”
He paused mid-sentence, and Xie Fuyi’s expression had already shifted. How could his blood type not match? And they were conducting a paternity test?
His lips trembled as he asked, “What were the results?”
In truth, the fact that Xie Tingbai, who was always meticulous, would openly mention this matter indicated the severity of the situation.
Xie Tingbai spread the documents he held out onto the coffee table in front of him. At the same time, he said calmly, “You’re not a child of the Xie family.”
