His Romance
His Romance Chapter 7.1

Shen Nan was rendered speechless.

As a man who trained hard and occasionally watched such movies with his comrades when he was young, he had seen his peers, a bunch of twenty-something guys, discuss the bodies of the actors. Shen Nan, however, wasn’t much interested in participating. He might glance at it if he passed by, but his interest was minimal.

Yet, being in the team for so long, conversations among men could become quite uninhibited and open. Shen Nan did occasionally make crude jokes, but it wasn’t frequent. His brothers would say that despite his usually serious demeanor, when he did make lewd remarks, he was like a completely different person.

However, the key point here was that Shen Nan had never seen a woman watching such movies with such enthusiasm in front of him. Even more so, this woman was his wife.

Watching Zhou Zuizui’s appreciative expression, Shen Nan rubbed his temples in frustration. His little wife seemed to surprise him at every turn.

After a moment of silence in the room, Shen Nan, standing behind her with his hands in his pockets, watched the small screen of her phone. When a man wrapped in a towel emerged from the room on the screen, Shen Nan, without thinking, quickly covered Zhou Zuizui’s eyes with one hand and grabbed the phone with the other, turning off the screen.

“What are you doing?” Zhou Zuizui protested, trying to hit him.

Thinking so, she did exactly that. She reached out to pry Shen Nan’s hand away, but her strength was no match for a man trained in the army. Even using all her might, she couldn’t loosen his grip; instead, it tightened, though he cleverly avoided pressing directly on her eyes.

Frustrated, Zhou Zuizui let out a huff and kicked Shen Nan’s leg.

Shen Nan grunted in response, loosening his grip, and lifted her effortlessly, tossing her onto the bed. He then followed up by pressing down on her.

The impact left Zhou Zuizui dazed, her head spinning, and before she could react, Shen Nan was already on top of her, pinning her struggling legs and securing her hands.

“Shen Nan!” Zhou Zuizui, unable to endure, shouted through gritted teeth, “Are you out of your mind?”

This man must be crazy.

“Go to sleep,” Shen Nan’s voice remained calm and composed, showing no signs of panic.

Zhou Zuizui furrowed her brows and pushed against him, but he didn’t budge. She gritted her teeth and said, “I’m not going to sleep. I want to watch the movie.”

Shen Nan was momentarily stunned, observing her expression under the light; she looked like a lion with its fur bristling, roaring in anger. He paused and lowered his voice. “It’s too late. We’ll watch it tomorrow.”

His breath was warm, and the pressure was intense, bringing a slight itch to Zhou Zuizui’s ear.

She wasn’t used to this.

Not only was she uncomfortable with Shen Nan’s overwhelming presence, but she also wasn’t used to being so controlled by him.

“I don’t want to,” Zhou Zuizui glared at him, trying to wriggle out from under him.

After struggling for a couple of seconds, Shen Nan pressed down fully, his eyes filled with small flames, his voice raspy.

“Don’t move!” he warned.

Zhou Zuizui raised an eyebrow, showing no fear. “I’ll move if I want to…” Her words trailed off as she was left speechless.

She wasn’t naive; she could certainly sense the reaction from Shen Nan’s body.

Her mind felt like it had exploded with a loud bang, struggling to comprehend how things had escalated to this point.

The two of them exchanged a silent, intense gaze.

Shen Nan’s face showed no trace of embarrassment. He stared intently at Zhou Zuizui until she stopped struggling, then rolled to the side and lay down. He then coldly reminded her, “Zhou Zuizui.”

This was the first time he formally addressed her by name since returning. Zhou Zuizui’s eyes flickered.

Shen Nan continued, “Don’t forget, you’re still my wife.”

Zhou Zuizui: “…”

She was momentarily stunned but quickly returned to her cold demeanor and scoffed, “Oh really? If you hadn’t said it, I’d have forgotten.”

Shen Nan paused, looking at her stubborn face. After a long silence, he apologized, “I’m sorry.”

For not returning for two years and for many other reasons.

Zhou Zuizui, listening, turned her back to Shen Nan and said, “Why apologize? It’s not your fault.”

Shen Nan smirked and suddenly patted her on the head, asking softly, “How long has it been since you last went?”

Zhou Zuizui pressed her lips together and remained silent.

The room was quiet for a moment as they lay on the same bed, separated by only a slight distance.

As Shen Nan was about to get up to take a shower, Zhou Zuizui turned back to him, her eyes gleaming with interest. She poked his arm and, with evident amusement, suggested, “How about you go to the bathroom and take care of it?”

As soon as she said this, Shen Nan narrowed his eyes, smirking at her. “Or, how about my wife does it instead?”

Zhou Zuizui was taken aback, pulling the blanket over herself and replying from under it, “In your dreams.”

Seeing her sulk, Shen Nan smiled and went into the bathroom.

The next morning, after informing Zhou Zuizui, Shen Nan left again.

Zhou Zuizui didn’t pay much attention and went about her work as usual.

However, Qiu Qiu was more curious and asked, “Sister, why did Brother-in-law leave again in the morning?”

Zhou Zuizui responded, glancing at the sunny weather outside, “He went to discuss business.”

She wasn’t sure what type of business it was, only that Shen Nan had his reasons for doing so.
