To show sincerity, Qin Chuan chose only the top-notch goods, all of which he personally inspected. 

Jiang Ning smiled. “My ancestors have been collectors for three generations, so I also have some knowledge in this area.” 

Qin Chuan was speechless, but he was not an expert himself. “Maybe I misjudged. I’ll get you some new ones tomorrow.” 

All the calligraphy, paintings, and antiques were exchanged in the hands of wealthy individuals; never did he expect to encounter counterfeits. He had to admit his misjudgment. 

He will go back and make sure to check the accounts and terminate the cooperation in the future. 

After the transaction, Jiang Ning left with the bag on her back. 

By then, the sky was getting brighter as dawn rose in the east, dispersing the darkness. Everything was beginning a new day’s trial.

Ignoring the scorching heat, the cloudless sky tinged red by the dawn’s glow, emitting boundless radiance, was truly a rare sight.

As they returned to the residential area, the number of pedestrians increased. Some were returning home from work, some were out foraging for food or supplies, and some… were robbers. 

“Help!” 

A thin girl found a dead snake, but an equally thin, knife-wielding gangster stared at her, forcing her to hand it over.

It happened right on the main road, with many passersby. They all seemed indifferent, unwilling to lend a hand, but hastened their steps in fear of getting into trouble. 

Initially, she doesn’t want to intervene, but Jiang Ning couldn’t help but think of herself three years ago, looking at the distressed and desperate girl. 

Back then, she had hit a mouse, only to have several people rush over to snatch it. 

Their eyes gleamed greedily, fixed on the dead mouse. 

Seeing the girl struggling, Jiang Ning picked up a stone and hurled it. 

Though somewhat distant, it hit the man’s back accurately, causing him to stumble and fall. 

The girl, holding the snake, not only didn’t thank her but didn’t even glance back, hastily fleeing. 

The man got up, looking around for his attacker, spotting Jiang Ning and Huo Yishen across the street. Realizing he was no match, he angrily left. 

Dressed lightly in the extreme heat, there was no way to conceal their status; a glance was enough to tell how well-off they were. 

Even though the two disguised themselves, they were still targeted, and the pursuit grew relentless. 

Approaching the city, Huo Yishen turned to them without a word, drawing his weapon. 

Instantly, their pursuers scattered like birds and beasts. 

Just before the sunlight bathed everything, they finally made it safely home. 

Doudou was already awake. She obediently brushed her teeth and washed her face. She diligently practiced martial arts, boxing, archery, and aiming.

The dog wasn’t idle either, it was hanging in the hallway. 

After washing up and changing her clothes, Jiang Ning took out the soy milk and buns, calling the two over for breakfast. 

With this transaction, they gained two more rooms on the third floor and expanded the black soil garden by a hundred square meters, a very worthwhile deal. 

After eating their fill, Jiang Ning went back to sleep. 

Huo Yishen lectured Doudou and assigned homework before resting. 

The dog supervised nearby. Only after Doudou finished her homework could she watch cartoons. 

Waking up in the afternoon, Jiang Ning practiced with Huo Yishen, had dinner, and then enjoyed some leisure time with the dog. 

When the time was right, they went to the agreed upon location to pick up the car. 

This time, neither Qin Chuan nor Sharp mouthed monkey came, but the one with the car was a familiar face—the person who actually sold them the umbrella. 

He brought a plum vase as a bonus. 

After verifying it in space, it was indeed genuine. 

Jiang Ning began to work actively, sleeping during the day at home and using the space at night. 

It had to be said that there were indeed many counterfeits in this line of work; almost every time there would be one or two fakes, but Qin Chuan’s attitude was good, never hesitating to exchange them. 

With Jiang Ning’s generous feeding, the fourth floor of the space finally began to take shape, but there were only two storage rooms. 

And they wouldn’t grow anymore.

Little did she know, Sharp Monkey was pushing his luck. “Sis, do you have a way to get ice blocks?” 

“That’s not easy.” 

“Who said it was? But this second-generation is extravagant. Not only does he want a party but also an ice feast.” 

They were quite generous. The boss really wanted to secure this deal, not just for the profit but also to establish a connection. And the reward they offered was quite substantial. 

Just for arranging a truckload of ice blocks, they offered a piece of jade glass seed rough stone. 

The boss had spoken; if Jiang Ning could manage it, the rough stone would be hers.

She had stored a lot of ice in the space, enough for several years. Even if she didn’t, she could make it with an ice maker. 

She looked at Huo Yishen. Was he up for this?

Sharp mouthed monkey was particularly pleased and hurried back to report to the boss. 

Back home, the two discussed and decided to stop after this deal. 

Both sides were cautious, yet they were still targeted several times. 

After some twists and turns and utilize the cover of night and space, they finally shook off their pursuers. 

Once, they even played the scammer on the street. 

Huo Yishen didn’t stop the car but rammed right into them. 

After hiding the car, the two took a quick turnaround. It turned out to be a gang of carjackers, as many as ten people, and they were armed. 

Fortunately, both of them had ample combat experience and they never let their guard down, preventing them from finding any vulnerabilities. 

But by the river, one is bound to get their shoes wet. Knowing when to stop was crucial. 

With an extra tanker truck, neither of them slept all night. They only managed to fill it with water just before the transaction time. 

Qin Chuan came personally, bringing only 18 paintings and 12 antiques, with the rest substituted with jade artifacts. 

The value of calligraphy and antiques depreciated rapidly, but thanks to Jiang Ning’s help, he finally managed to clear out his accumulated stock. 

“Jiang Ning, Brother Huo, at the moment, gold seems to hold its value better. How about we use gold for future transactions?” 

Jiang Ning declined his proposal: “Brother Qin, sorry, but we need to pause our transactions for a while. We plan to make a trip to Yuecheng.” 

“Yuecheng?” Qin Chuan was surprised. “You’re going to the seaside?” 

“We have a client who wants to wholesale seafood, so we’re going to take a look.” 

Qin Chuan felt it was a pity but didn’t insist. “Alright, let’s talk about it when you’re back. Oh, by the way, be careful in Yuecheng. There are toll collectors, and they have quite some influence. If you can solve it with goods, it’s fine, but don’t provoke them easily.” 

After thanking him, the two returned home to continue resting. They woke up in the afternoon to deliver the ice blocks.
