The two of them packed through the night. 

They put everything they could take away into the space, and they even dismantled the stainless-steel doors. 

They took apart everything from apartments 1801 and 1802, as well as six doors from the stairwell. Two of these doors were destroyed in the explosion, but they took the remaining four good ones with them—they would need them for the new house. 

Not just the doors, but also the explosion-proof glass, bulletproof glass, even door frames and glass cabinets, curtain rods—nothing was spared. 

The eight rabbits were unharmed, but a few of the newborn rabbits died from the shock of the explosion. 

Jiang Ning put all of them into a cardboard box and stuffed it into the Hummer’s trunk. 

At five in the morning, the two of them drove away from the Jinrong community, where they had lived for two years. 

The car stopped at the entrance of the university town, and the eastern sky was just beginning to lighten. 

Jiang Ning sat in the passenger seat, deep in thought. 

If it happened once, it would happen again. Qinggang Base would not stop. 

Hiding and running wasn’t a solution, and it wasn’t their style. 

Huo Yishen’s eyes were deep. “We have to eliminate them.” 

A powerful punch at the beginning can prevent a hundred weaker punches later. 

This was also what Jiang Ning thought. Avoiding the problem wouldn’t solve it. 

The more they hid, the more reckless their enemies would become. 

But with just the two of them against a base of over 200 people, armed with numerous weapons and explosives, it wouldn’t be easy to wipe them out. 

“Do you remember the first checkpoint we encountered when we came back from Yuecheng? ” 

Jiang Ning remembered. Huo Yishen had mentioned that in their previous lives, it was a joint operation between the police forces of Yuecheng and Fengcheng that wiped out two problematic bases. 

“You mean, let them fight each other? ” 

With checkpoints so close together, it was clear they were competing for resources. They had probably already been fighting intensely, but the conflict hadn’t fully erupted yet, or they hadn’t found the opportunity to completely destroy each other. 

Their eyes met, and they quickly had a plan. 

Jiang Ning suggested, “Should we leave Doudou and Coke with the Zhong family for a few days? ” 

Huo Yishen hesitated briefly, then looked her in the eye and said, “Anning, we need Coke’s help, and it will be risky.” 

Jiang Ning was taken aback, then turned to the dog and said, “Coke, we’re going on a mission, and it will be dangerous. Do you want to go to Grandma Zhong’s house or come with us?” 

The dog chose without hesitation, biting onto her clothes and refusing to let go. 

Doudou hugged her brother tightly and said, “Brother, don’t leave Doudou behind.” 

Huo Yishen thought it over: “The Qinggang base has investigated us thoroughly. If we don’t take Doudou, it might make them suspicious. They could end up targeting the Zhong family or even using Doudou to threaten us. What do you think? ” 

Jiang Ning had a headache. 

Alright, fine. 

In this apocalypse, shielding her too much wasn’t a solution. What had to be experienced would be experienced—this was fate. 

However, they still visited Grandma Zhong’s house to drop off Da Hui and Xiao Bai. 

If they didn’t come back, the rabbits would belong to the Zhong family. 

Grandma Zhong was up early and was delighted to see them. When she learned they had to leave for a few days, she was happy to take in the rabbits. 

Jiang Ning brought over 10 kilograms of rice. 

Grandma Zhong refused: “Little Jiang, you’ve already helped us so much. How can we accept this? ” 

“Grandma Zhong, we’re in a hurry. Besides, if we keep going back and forth, people might notice. You should hurry home.” 

Unlike the 18th floor, this area was full of neighbors and there were eyes everywhere. 

Grandma Zhong accepted it and hurried home with the rabbits in the cardboard box. “Don’t worry, I will take good care of them.” 
 

Leaving the family quarters of the research institute, the car headed towards Yuecheng. 

It was said that the sea there had calmed down, and more people were starting to head there in search of survival. Occasionally, they could spot one or two figures along the way. 

As they neared the Qinggang checkpoint, Huo Yishen turned the car onto an uninhabited side road. 

After disguising themselves, the two looked completely different and transformed into intimidating figures with flashy tattoos. 

With the other two, they travelled through the mountains and crossed valleys, bypassing the Qinggang toll checkpoint and heading straight for the Leilong checkpoint, which is about ten kilometers away. 

A tattooed man at the toll, wielding a baseball bat, barked, “Stop! Are you blind? Five kilos of grain per person.” 

Equally tattooed, Jiang Ning, with a cigarette dangling from her lips, sneered, “Asking me for grain? Why don’t you take a piss and see who you are?” 

“What? Say that again!” 

Jiang Ning pulled out her gun and fired a shot, blowing his head off. 

The sudden event left the other tattooed men in shock before they scrambled for their weapons and charged out. 

One shot per person, sending them to an early grave. 

With one man left, Jiang Ning didn’t kill him. Instead, she picked up the baseball bat and swung it several times before stomping his head into the ground. “Go back and tell your boss to clean his neck and wait. You date to compete with our Qinggang Base? Does he have a death wish? Get lost!” 

The battered man, face covered in blood, staggered to his feet and ran off, still shouting threats, “You Qinggang Base scum, just you wait!” 

Jiang Ning stored the truck loaded with supplies in her space and brought out the “Land Beast,” the Paramount Marauder. 

The 15-ton vehicle is not only a land tank but can also withstand the damage of anti-tank mines. The chassis can even withstand the bombing of 8 tons of TNT. Even if the bulletproof tires are hit by armor-piercing bullets, they can still maintain a 400-kilometer journey. 

It is no exaggeration to say that it can flatten all obstacles on the land. 

Even the seats were explosion-proof. 

Jiang Ning took the driver’s seat. “Ready?” 

Huo Yishen silently fastened his seatbelt. 

The Marauder started up, and it felt like the whole road was shaking. 

Jiang Ning floored the accelerator, sending the heavy off-road vehicle speeding away at its maximum velocity. 

The Qinggang Base was close by, just a few minutes at full speed. 

In the blink of an eye, the guard post came into view. 

Hearing the roaring sound, the bald guards drinking inside grinned broadly and said, “Hey, big business is coming our way!” 

“This noise sounds awesome. We are definitely taking that vehicle today.” 

The two bald men got up, grabbed their clubs, and headed outside. “Brothers, get ready. We’re opening the shop.” 

Just as they stepped out of the guard post, they saw the enormous vehicle barreling towards them with no intention of stopping. 

“Shit, stop! Damn it, do you want to die?” 

Before he could finish, the two men scrambled to run. 

The Marauder crashed into the guard post, smashing it to pieces, with bricks flying everywhere. 

The 20-square-meter guard post was obliterated as the Marauder crashed through it. 

The two bald men were stunned on the spot, initially thinking it was a tank but realizing it was a heavy off-road vehicle. 

A man with tattoos was thrown from the wreckage, flying over ten meters away, while the rest were buried under the bricks. 

One moment they were drinking and chatting, and the next they were separated by life and death. They wonder who had the guts to attack them. 

The Marauder didn’t stop but performed a drift and charged at the two men again. 

The two were scared and ran away. 

One person was too slow and got pinned against a barricade wall by the marauder. The sturdy wall collapsed and sent him flying.
