Jiang Ning sneered at Feng Kunpeng, “I’ll send you to hell. Those people who were obstructed by your roadblocks and died, or those who were robbed and killed, they are all waiting underground to settle scores.”
“Don’t, don’t, don’t. I have food and guns. I can also give you the position of base leader. Please spare me,” Feng Kunpeng pleaded.
“Why spare you?” Jiang Ning asked incredulously. “If I kill you, all the resources in the base will still be mine!”
With that said, she ignored his cries and said to Huo Yishen, “You and Doudou keep an eye on them. Coke and I will go collect things.”
If it weren’t for the fear of causing unnecessary trouble due to too much commotion, Jiang Ning would have thrown a firebomb long ago.
Feng Kunpeng’s howls were deafening, so Huo Yishen stuffed his mouth shut. “Be careful, hurry up and come back,” he said.
Jiang Ning took the dog and disappeared into the night.
Their first target: Feng Kunpeng’s super mansion.
On the first floor, there was a wine cellar with various wines such as Bordeaux, Martell, Moutai, and XO, totaling about two to three hundred bottles. She took all of them without leaving a single one.
There were many tea leaves and cigarettes in the living room cabinet, all of good brands. Whether they were expired or not didn’t matter; they took them all.
Unexpectedly, Feng Kunpeng was fond of showing, and he is quite good at it. There was even a super-large study, which collected hundreds of books on various topics including science, humanities, technology, industry, emotions, psychology, magazines, and more.
Together with the bookshelf, they took the calligraphy and paintings, jade ornaments, and three safes.
The bedroom was very large, with the dressing room alone. It covers hundreds of square meters. Jiang Ning only took the jade ornaments, leaving everything else to fate.
Next to the master bedroom was a room with a heavy stainless-steel door.
Jiang Ning, with her experienced thief’s eye, knew there must be something good inside.
Without saying a word, she took out the crowbar!
As expected, it was Feng Kunpeng’s private arsenal, with over twenty handguns, rifles, submachine guns, and thousands of bullets, along with a dozen sets of body armor and helmets.
She couldn’t help but wonder, with all these things in hand, why was he still so timid?
Probably, being afraid of death was ingrained in him from birth.
On the third floor… um, there were a total of five or six rooms, filled with various tools, the kind that would make a normal woman turn pale.
Feng Kunpeng wasn’t there, otherwise Jiang Ning would have hung him up with a meat hook.
Just as she was about to leave, she noticed several large boxes on the cabinet where the tools were hung.
The tools were very clean, but the boxes were dusty.
Jiang Ning was curious and couldn’t help but open the boxes one by one.
They were all well-known umbrellas, tens of thousands of them.
So, did they raid an umbrella factory?
Unfortunately, even if they raided it, they wouldn’t use them. They only cared about their own pleasure and didn’t give a damn about the lives of women.
In their eyes, women were far less valuable than livestock.
They didn’t understand how to cherish, but they made Jiang Ning ecstatic. How much could she exchange for all these resources?
She took everything into her space, sincerely thanking Chairman Feng!
Leaving the villa, Jiang Ning headed straight for the cold storage warehouse.
These past two days, she had seen them moving good stuff in and out of there.
Sure enough, there were over forty sheep and six cows, all freshly slaughtered. Taking them all, she didn’t forget to dismantle the diesel generators.
Several warehouses were adjacent, with a place for storing gasoline and diesel nearby.
Opening the door, Jiang Ning was shocked by the countless oil drums in front of her. Adding to what she brought back from the Leilong base today, there were at least over two hundred tons.
Unexpectedly, Feng Kunpeng, despite being afraid of death, turned out to be a super hoarder, truly justifying the effort Jiang Ning and Huo Yishen put into this.
After collecting the oil, they conveniently took all the twenty-some vehicles parked in front of the warehouse, either off-road or trucks.
Next to it was a large-scale warehouse, filled with the strong smell of dried seafood.
The warehouse was spacious, stacked with heaps of sweet potatoes, potatoes, as well as a lot of rice, flour, oil, and grains, totaling at least fifty to sixty thousand kilograms.
This time, it would be enough for several lifetimes.
Just as Jiang Ning was about to put everything into her space, the dog suddenly growled in warning.
Someone was coming!
They arrived neither too early nor too late, just at the perfect time?
Just as she started to doubt, a sudden explosion rang out.
Jiang Ning ran out of the warehouse, only to see the playground engulfed in flames.
How could this happen?
Unless under special circumstances, they would set fire only when leaving. Why would Huo Yishen suddenly change his mind?
Something’s wrong!
It would take quite some time to collect everything from the large warehouse. Worried about Huo Yishen and Doudou, Jiang Ning didn’t hesitate and rushed towards the playground.
Halfway there, she met Huo Yishen and Doudou, and she quickly asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Someone’s here.”
Who’s here? He seemed to have never feared anyone.
“It’s Chief Ling and his men.”
Chief Ling? Jiang Ning was momentarily stunned before she remembered who he was. “What’s he here for?”
“This morning’s explosion happened at the Fengcheng border. It probably catches Chief Ling’s attention. They must have realized that the Leilong base was destroyed, so they organized the police force to come over overnight.”
Huo Yishen asked, “Is the collection finished? Chief Ling is formidable; nothing can escape his sight. We can’t encounter them; we need to leave immediately.”
“There are tens of thousands of kilograms of grain in the large warehouse, and there are probably many things in the homes of those heads of households.”
Jiang Ning thought for a moment. “We have enough grain already. Why don’t we leave it to Chief Ling and his team? Last time, during the cleanup of the Dragon Slaying Society, it was Chief Ling who led the team. The survival supplies we found were not embezzled; they were all returned to the victims as much as possible. This batch of supplies is also extorted from the survivors at the bottom; I believe they will handle it properly and return it to the people in the end. Moreover, rice, flour, oil, and grains have been stored for two years in extreme conditions. They may not be in good condition, and even if I put them in my space, we won’t eat them. And I can’t donate them to the survivors. It would be better for Chief Ling and his team to dispose of them.”
Huo Yishen had no objection. “Okay.”
In the distance, lights accompanied by hurried footsteps approached.
Without any hesitation, the three humans and one dog quietly left from the back door of the base.
Taking advantage of Doudou’s distraction, Jiang Ning threw out two weapon cabinets.
There were dozens of weapons inside, mostly worn out by the tattooed men. Which has little use to the two of them. It was better to give them all to Chief Ling’s team.
The police station should be in need. With these weapons, they could better protect themselves or distribute empty shells to security patrol officers, which would be good for self-defense and warning off those criminals.
She had collected quite a few from Feng Kunpeng, plus what they had saved before, they were not lacking in firepower.
In the darkness, several hundred meters apart, one group heard the sound of the explosion and quickly moved forward, while Jiang Ning and her group retreated swiftly…
