Jiang Ning waved her hand to signal Ding Qi and others to step back, and she raised her hand and fired three rounds.
Thinking of deceiving her? No chance!
They were smart enough to know how to disguise themselves by stripping the clothes off rich boys, but in their haste, they forgot to change their pants and shoes.
Wearing a dragon robe doesn’t make you a prince; dressing up as a wolf doesn’t make you a sheep.
Screams erupted, and the three men flipped over and were about to shoot, but Huo Yishen’s movements were faster and directly shot their arms.
The guns fell to the ground.
Considering what the kidnappers said about collecting ransom, it seems they had dealings with the thugs.
So, Jiang Ning took out a handkerchief soaked in ether, directly choking them unconscious.
They wouldn’t wake up for at least 12 hours.
Their hands and feet were tightly bound, and they couldn’t struggle no matter what.
Not only them, but even the rich boys were also covered to prevent any surprises.
The room where the women were detained was quickly found, and there were indeed 30 of them.
Instead of letting them out, Jiang Ning added two more locks to the iron gate. It wouldn’t be too late to open the door after moving the supplies.
Ding Qi and the others came for the supplies. After inspecting the cave and making sure all the people who should die were dead, they decisively collected the firearms and other weapons.
Several people carried the valuable items, with tea, salt, wine, sugar, and medicines being the first choice, followed by rice. Well-preserved rice that could last 3-7 years without spoiling, while the sealed grains were likely already spoiled.
They couldn’t carry much on their shoulders, so they found ropes and sticks to carry the load, piling the valuable items as high as they could.
Only four people carried, while Huo Yishen carried the unconscious Rong Sanshao.
This was a helicopter, meant for him.
Jiang Ning just filled her backpack and was responsible for clearing the way and keeping watch.
The dog stayed with Jiang Ning and watched in all directions.
The ransom collectors probably ran into trouble and hadn’t returned yet.
With shoulders and hands, they loaded the supplies onto the car and then parked the car in a secluded place near the mountain pass.
Jiang Ning was responsible for watching the car, while Huo Yishen and the dog accompanied Zhang Chao and the others back to the cave to move the supplies.
Who knew, just after making five or six trips, the distant sound of roaring cars could be heard.
Jiang Ning instantly became alert, taking out binoculars to observe.
Thinking it was the kidnappers returning, who knew it was actually the army coming in large trucks.
They were here for the leftovers again.
Jiang Ning didn’t dare to face the army directly, so she hides. But she trusts in Huo Yishen and the others alertness and skills to help them avoid being caught.
After waiting for about half an hour, the group returned while carrying rice.
It seemed they had encountered an obstacle for the first time, leaving Zhang Chao, Lu Yu, and others very frustrated.
There were still many supplies in the cave, and they had only moved less than a third, yet the army had already arrived.
If they managed to move all the supplies and rescue the bound rich boys, they might have gotten a hefty ransom, but now it seemed like they were just doing the government’s bidding.
Jiang Ning lowered her voice to reassure them, “It’s already good enough. We’ve taken so many supplies which is enough to last us for years. Let’s go quickly. If we’re discovered, they might confiscate all the supplies!”
There was no choice but to withdraw quickly.
Tonight, it didn’t seem safe to go back to the city. Where could they hide all these supplies?
It wasn’t practical to leave them in the shack, even if you carried back a tattered bag, there would be countless eyes watching.
The villa weren’t an option either. Maybe before the eternal night, it wouldn’t have mattered, but now many rich people were resorting to eating moss to stave off hunger.
Don’t tempt the evil side of human nature. Whether rich or poor, when starving, they would do anything.
“You can trust us. We’ll temporarily take care of the supplies and find a place to store them. Once things settle down, we’ll distribute them.”
What’s there to not trust? They had all faced death together.
Besides, Anning’s truck had been hidden for so long without being discovered, it was definitely in a secretive location.
So, the two cars returned to the city under the cover of night and part ways at the intersection.
Driving to an uninhabited area, Jiang Ning stored the car in the space and then walked back when it was almost time, while the others rode back to the city in the Hummer.
There were indeed disturbances in the city, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
As the Hummer stopped across from the police station, Jiang Ning’s hand clenched the keys to another room in her pocket. After some consideration, she ultimately decided not to take them out.
Watching them enter the building, she glanced at the unconscious second-generation rich kid in the back seat and couldn’t help but shake her head.
Ah, it seemed like Master Rong must have been a major villain who destroyed the galaxy in his past life to have such a wicked son.
Tonight, the whole city was in an uproar because of him.
Driving back to the villa area, the lights were on at the Rong household. Seeing the Hummer from Building 50 returning, they quickly opened the gate to welcome them.
Master Rong was both anxious and angry, “Did you rescue him?”
Jiang Ning opened the car door and let him come see for himself.
Seeing her serious expression, Mrs. Rong hurried over in distress. When she saw the unrecognizable figure of her son in the back seat, she burst into tears, “My child, you died so tragically.”
She fainted on the spot.
The cane in Master Rong’s hand clattered to the ground, and he staggered as if he might collapse.
Jiang Ning was dumbfounded. He wasn’t dead!
Had he inhaled too much ether and actually died?
Oh no, her airplane!!!
She was so scared that she quickly bent down and reached out to touch the pig’s face. He was still alive.
Jiang Ning exclaimed happily, “He’s not dead, he’s still breathing.”
Master Rong quickly came over, widening his eyes and staring for a long time before confirming that the kid was indeed his son, “How did this happen?”
With the airplane still in his possession, Jiang Ning tried to speak well for his pig’s son, “Rong Sanshao is a member of your family, he refused to be insulted by the forces of evil and fought back against them, which is how he got injured.”
Master Rong felt a little better. This idiot was still tough.
The servants and butlers quickly came over and lifted their unconscious son, “Doctor, quickly, quickly!”
With their son back, Master Rong and his wife were relieved, but the looks from the younger generation were… quite intriguing.
Jiang Ning pretended not to notice.
Putting herself in their shoes, if she were from a big family, she wouldn’t feel comfortable either.
With their son beaten black and blue, Master Rong wasn’t in the mood to talk about anything else, “Please rest assured, Miss Jiang. I promise to fulfill what I’ve promised, but please wait for another two days.”
Jiang Ning understood; after all, the Rong family couldn’t run away.
The two of them drove back home.
Just as they parked the car and turned it off, the next-door gate opened, and Doudou ran out from inside, throwing herself into their arms, “Brother, sister-in-law, are you okay?”
Jiang Ning rubbed her head, “We’re fine.”
After hugging them, Doudou hugged the excited dog, “Coke, I was so worried about you too.”
“Woof!” The dog enthusiastically rubbed against her.
Qin Chuan came out with his son, and the two families chatted warmly.
Doudou waved, “Xiao Mu, I’m going home.”
They entered the courtyard and closed the door.
Exhausted, Jiang Ning retrieved the hot spring from her storage and indulged in a soothing bath to ease her fatigue.
After soaking in the comfortable hot spring bath, she felt much more refreshed.
Putting on clean clothes, they enjoyed a hearty meal to reward themselves.
Stir-fried beef, clay-pot lamb, braised pork, salt and pepper shrimp, pork offal soup, and vegetables.
They were all prepared in advance and stored in the space, ready for Huo Yishen to bring out from the kitchen.
Both of them were salivating, their eyes gleaming.
As they ate and chatted, Jiang Ning noticed Doudou’s intense craving and couldn’t help but ask, “How’s it going at the Qin household?”
