The distance of several kilometers was closing at lightning speed, and the white waves were like flying swords, rushing all the way with great momentum.
Huo Yishen fastened his seatbelt, and the yacht raced across the calm sea toward the nest of those monster.
Two giant waves, one after the other, crashed violently. Jiang Ning stood on the back deck, holding onto the safety railing, her gaze fixed on the rampaging King Squid behind.
They were really fast, and the crimson tentacles were like the hands of the devil, constantly flying up and down, stirring up the wind and clouds. It felt like a rocket launcher was chasing behind them.
The tentacles rose several meters, smashing huge waves, and the overwhelming force could shake everything away.
Even at a distance, Jiang Ning could feel as if there were waves splashing on her face.
Huo Yishen’s skills were unquestionable, and the yacht flew up, but the maximum speed was a flaw, and there was a clear gap with the mutated North Sea giant monster.
The yacht was pulling the shortest distance in a straight line, but the furious King Squid had astonishing explosive power.
In less than half an hour, the distance was pulled from a few kilometers to a few hundred meters.
If there was another explosion, a tentacle would hit over and overturn the yacht in an instant.
500 meters, 300 meters, 200 meters, 100 meters…
The flying waves hit Jiang Ning’s face as if she was whipped hard, and her clothes were soaked with water.
A massive tentacle struck down and landed less than 50 meters away from them.
Jiang Ning turned and looked forward, and vaguely saw the nest built by those monsters.
This was a rare opportunity, and she didn’t want to give up. She gritted her teeth and shouted into the radio, “Speed up!”
Huo Yishen shifted to the highest gear and charged toward the target.
The yacht soared like an arrow through the clouds, heading straight for the monster’s nest.
The enemy lookout on the wooden building was shocked. When he saw the situation several kilometers away, his eyes nearly popped out.
There is an enemy invasion!
There is an enemy invasion!!
There is an enemy invasion!!!!
The third-level alarm sounded at their base.
The monsters quickly took their positions, raising their guns at the speeding yacht.
A few kilometers seemed far away, yet it approached so quickly.
Facing the weapons of the monsters, the yacht suddenly moved in an S shape, and the splashing waves blocked the sight of the chasing squid, allowing them to press forward.
The monsters had no cannons and could only aim with submachine guns, their eyes fixed tightly on the yacht.
The submachine gun was effective at 200 meters, and they were waiting for the best range.
The black flying machines had spears, which had been used over the years to deal with giant sea creatures. Every spear used was one less, and they also needed precise aiming.
The yacht was large; but even if the boats are surrounded by the wooden building, if it charged at full speed, the destructive power would be unimaginable.
Damn, are they crazy? Are they attempting a suicide attack?
How did the enemy find such a safe and hidden place?
The monsters on the wooden building watched in shock as the yacht came flying in, and their eyes nearly popped out, especially when they saw the countless huge red tentacles chasing behind the yacht. They couldn’t help but scream.
North Sea Giant!
King Squid!
They had hunted a lone Giant Squid before, and used countless spear guns and even lost a fishing boat in the process. They paid a huge price to succeed in the hunt.
Now, countless tentacles were stirring, at least dozens in number.
This was madness; the world had gone mad!
They screamed in despair, “Damn it!”
The monsters fired their submachine guns wildly.
Seeing that there were only a few hundred meters left, Huo Yishen turned the yacht sharply.
The rampaging King Squid couldn’t stop in time and rushed forward with unstoppable force.
The dense bullets hit the red tentacles; the King Squid became even more enraged. Countless tentacles fell from the sky and hit their nest heavily.
Even the black flying machines was knocked away.
The tentacles wrapped around the fishing boat and suddenly dragged it into the depths of the seabed.
The entire fishing boat was overturned, and the monsters on the boat was thrown into the air by the tentacles, crushed into meat paste, and then thrown into the sea with surging waves.
In an instant, there was a loud chorus of wails, and the sea surged in chaos.
Several tentacles flipped over their boats, lifted it up, pulled it, and it collapsed in the shaking…
The red tentacles entangled the giant steel pipes on the seabed, pulling, stirring, bumping, entangling, twisting…
Dozens of squids, like demons rampaging from hell, frantically destroyed every obstacle in their path, making the once feared monsters seem like nothing more than paper tigers.
The black flying machine was destroyed, the fishing boat was overturned, and the transport ships were dragged down.
In the face of absolute power, even if the machine gun weapons shot the giant squid, it was not only useless but it only further provoked their fury, resulting in even harsher retaliation.
A massive tentacle swept through, smashing the wooden building, and the monsters screamed as they fell into the sea.
Jiang Ning and Huo Yishen did not enter the space but parked the yacht far away and quietly admired the King Squid’s artistic masterpiece.
The King Squid does not eat humans, especially mutated humans, but just destroys to vent its anger and flattens all obstacles.
The blood waves rolled, and the rapidly spreading blood attracted a group of sharks, which eat those monsters away one by one.
Jiang Ning stood on the deck while holding hands with Huo Yishen and watched as the wooden building on the sea collapsed and the nest of those monsters gradually sank.
The King Squid seemed to be still unsatisfied, it constantly looked for a target, and then locked onto the yacht in the distance.
Then, it rushes forward!
The target has been destroyed, and there are no more monsters in this sea area. Jiang Ning is indeed brave enough, but she will not challenge the impossible without thinking. She decisively flashed into the space with the yacht.
The North Sea giant, having lost its target, crashed into the deep sea with a thud.
Outside, the air was thick with the smell of blood and carnage, while the space remained quiet and serene.
Jiang Ning opened the escape pod and released the two.
The dog rushed over, whining and scratching at its owner.
Jiang Ning calmed it down, “I’m fine.”
The dog then turned to nudge the instructor, “Woof!”
Doudou suppressed her laughter and explained, “Just now, Coke was so anxious that he wanted to go out and fight.”
Since coming to drift in the ocean, the dog had lost its chance to battle and felt restless. Sometimes it even woke up at night startled.
Jiang Ning stroked its head and took it off the yacht.
Stepping onto the ground and inhaling the fragrant green grass, the dog, fully liberated from the oppressive sea, ran freely in the black soil garden.
The ocean felt too ethereal; but humans still preferred solid ground.
Even though Doudou has grown up, she also ran after the dog, “Coke, wait for me.”
The two ran wild in the garden, and Jiang Ning and Huo Yishen went into the villa.
After surviving the disaster, they hugged each other tightly.
Jiang Ning looked up, “Mr. Huo, am I being too reckless?” She actually took him to take these risks.
Huo Yi thought deeply, “A little, but I believe in you.”
In the apocalypse, there is no way to survive without taking risks.
It is indeed extremely dangerous to lure the giant squid to destroy the monsters, but fighting them with real weapons will also be life-threatening, so they can only choose the best option.
Jiang Ning put her arm around his waist, “I believe in you too.”
Without his calmness and stable performance, she would never have dared to provoke the King Squid.
There were dangers, but in the end, they had won.

Please bear with me if I didn’t update right away 😅. I was either buried in work 💼… or buried in rereading the book 📖. (P.S. Most of the time I’m rereading it 🤭—so you know just how good the story is! 🌟)
