It’s worth mentioning that if it was ‘Great Fortune’, then Chen Xing would be enveloped in a flourishing spring-like radiance. However, strangely, when the ominous blood-red light shone on the two little Zeros, it seemed like there was a white light protecting them, and the blood-red light didn’t affect them at all.
On the other hand, Chen Xing was bathed in it and felt uncomfortable, while the two elves didn’t sense anything unusual.
“Husband, I want to play with bubbles!” Tu’er cheerfully shook his arm.
Chen Xing took out the stick-shaped bubble maker they bought. It had an opening at the top and a button on the shaft. Then, he pointed the opening of the stick towards Tu’er’s feet and gently pressed the button.
Puff! A bubble shot out from the opening and adhered to her foot the moment it touched her.
“Okay, okay, it’s too big! Stop!” Tu’er quickly shouted as the bubble continued to grow.
Chen Xing released the button and looked at the bubble on her foot in amazement. He couldn’t help but poke it. It was soft but very elastic; he couldn’t pop it.
“I want more, husband!” Little Tu’er happily called out, attracting the attention of many people around them.
Chen Xing chuckled and created another bubble on her other foot.
“Wow, look! I can fly now!”
Attachment-type Iceberry Bubbles, when in contact with the body, allowed the person touching them to control them with their thoughts. It was very convenient.
“Oh, wait, I could already fly… hehe…” Little Tu’er giggled, showing off by spinning around Chen Xing and Yu’er while riding her bubbles.
“Um… husband… I also want…” Yu’er muttered softly.
How could Chen Xing forget her? He quickly created a bubble for her as well.
Then, the three of them moved swiftly through the streets while riding the Iceberry Bubbles.
Suddenly, there was a “whoosh.”
The already colorful Elf world became even more dazzling.
The central Iceberry Bubble building suddenly displayed an image, and similar images appeared on all the surrounding houses. These buildings, made of bubbles, had now become giant screens for people to watch.
Various colors were perfectly displayed on the bubble-built architecture. The diverse appearances and outfits of the elves in the images set them apart from the ordinary elves. Their overall looks were undoubtedly much better than the people on this street.
Some were singing, some were dancing. The bubble walls resembled television screens, broadcasting various programs, but there was no sound.
“Hey! Here it comes!”
“It’s afternoon tea time!”
The surrounding elves immediately cheered and took out a flower from their pockets. The flower had a protrusion at its center, and the elves directly inserted it into their ears, resembling some kind of earpiece. Then, they walked to bubble buildings playing the programs they were interested in.
Within a building’s designated area, strange energy radiated around the flowers, allowing them to hear the sound of the programs being played on the soundless bubble walls. It was quite magical.
In the area around the petals on the ground, small holes suddenly appeared. Many bubbles emerged from these holes, continuously expanding and eventually connecting with each other, forming sofas and tables.
The elves sat on these sofas as if this street were their home. They seemed to have various types of food they had taken out from somewhere, all placed on the tables. They shared and ate with each other, appearing like a big, happy family.
This was the daily gathering time in the Elf dimension – the Elf Tea Gathering.
“Um… husband, I want to listen too!” Tu’er tugged on Chen Xing’s arm.
Everyone was watching the programs on the screen and having a great time because they could hear the sound. However, Chen Xing and his two companions didn’t have the flower-like earpieces, so they couldn’t hear anything, and it wasn’t as enjoyable.
Chen Xing nodded. “Okay!”
With guidance from San’er, Chen Xing flew directly towards the tallest bubble building in the middle, where they sold these flowers. While flying, he observed the surroundings.
At this moment, everyone on the street had stopped in front of their favorite programs, discussing them with laughter and excitement. The programs on the screen were quite exceptional, featuring various celebrities doing unusual things.
For example… kicking a talking soccer ball.
The reactions of the soccer ball had everyone bursting into laughter.
Or, a bubble war…
Or even a censored program.
Yes, the kind of program that needed censoring, the kind that shouldn’t be broadcast. And it was being aired openly in front of everyone, which was utterly outrageous.
Before that program, many people were sitting there, watching with joy and laughter. The people around didn’t give strange looks either, as if all this is a normal thing.
“Cough… wife!” Chen Xing called out, hoping to get the attention of his two companions and prevent them from seeing the strange images.
“Um… Big black mouse!” Little Tu’er pointed to a screen.
Chen Xing looked in that direction and saw eleven big black mice dancing and singing, about two meters long each.
Chen Xing: ???
Why does this look so familiar? (Chapter 181; Lord Dian’er loses eleven wives, lol )
Those eleven black mice were obviously females with heavy makeup and various colored powders applied to their faces, making them look incredibly ugly. But the elves in front of the screen seemed to be their enthusiastic fans.
“Eleven! Eleven”
They kept shouting this name.
Eleven was the name of this group of rats.
The screen was labeled: “Fashionable Girl Group! Eleven!”
“Oh! So cool!”
“My little flower is so beautiful!”
Chen Xing: ???
These elves have a questionable sense of aesthetics!
What’s so good about mice? How can these mice become a fashionable girl group? Their heavy makeup looked like they had been smeared with dirt… where’s the fashion in that? Those plain black mice… how can they be considered girls? Could it be that they’ve been single for too long, so they find anything good-looking?
【Chen Xing!】 San’er suddenly exclaimed.
“What’s wrong?”
【Look to the left!】
Chen Xing turned his gaze and instantly narrowed his eyes.
“This…”
On the left side of a building, they were playing a reality show!
Reality shows were normal, and Chen Xing had watched them on Earth too.
But this was in the Elf dimension, and the main characters were… all humans!
The people in the program weren’t doing anything particular, just talking. Chen Xing didn’t have earphones, so he couldn’t hear what they were saying. Nonetheless, it had everyone around them bursting into laughter!
Someone sneered, “These idiots probably haven’t realized they’re being mocked.”
“Hahaha, I bet they won’t even realize they were part of a live broadcast in the Elf dimension until they die.”
Chen Xing: ???
Live broadcast!? What did that mean? Could it be… the human world was just a fictional existence… and every action of everyone was being live-streamed in the Elf dimension?
Chen Xing couldn’t help but think of an American movie he watched: “The Truman Show”!
That would be terrifying!
Try to imagine that every move you’ve ever made has had countless people watching you, with countless pairs of eyes observing your every action.
They’ve watched you from birth, seen you eat, sleep, and grow up. They’ve witnessed your moments of joy and anger. Just thinking about it gave Chen Xing goosebumps.
Suddenly, the screen flashed with white light, and four people started fighting.
Two of them transformed into weapons!
“Oh! They’re fighting! They’re fighting!” The surrounding people immediately cheered.
“Hahaha~ Why do humans enjoy fighting among themselves?”
“Let’s bet on who wins!”
“Why can humans turn into weapons? It’s so amazing!”
“Tsk, it’s just shape-shifting. Don’t you know how to do it?”
“No, look at the power of those weapons; it’s almost on par with magic!”
“Psh, I’m not listening, not listening. Elves are the strongest! Humans are trash!”
“Let’s guess who will win, the woman or the man. She clearly won last time.”
The people in front of the building were excitedly discussing the fight. Chen Xing, however, couldn’t find anything funny about it. Weren’t these Spirit Users and Spirit Masters!?
【Chen Xing… these people are the missing Supernovas!】
【The two Spirit Masters fighting right now are the cream of the crop among the Supernovas! Jiang Liying and Mu Ziyi!】(mentioned in chapter 193)
Supernovas!
He remembered now! It was what Nameless had mentioned before. These Supernovas encountered the elves within the Forbidden Zone and were captured. Unexpectedly, they were now being treated like monkeys, displayed for the entertainment of countless spectators!
And they seemed to be completely unaware of this fact.
In a city specially built for people like them, they had become slaves to the elves, forced to participate in various activities for the amusement of the outside audience. They thought this was their world, unaware that they were being used.
If they managed to escape from this fictional world, they would probably discover that the real world was even darker.
Watching the Supernovas fighting on the screen and hearing the laughter and joy of the elves around, Chen Xing couldn’t help glance upwards, looking up at this colorful and beautiful world.
Was it beautiful? Very beautiful. However, this beauty made him contemplate:
This was a world where entertainment reigned supreme, even to the point of death. A beautiful yet dark world!
Just when Chen Xing was lost in thought, someone suddenly shouted, “Quick! It’s time to vote!”
Chen Xing looked over, and several options appeared on the screen. Through audience votes, the fate of these Supernovas would be determined….
There were about four random options:
1: Rainbow Cockroach for dinner tonight.
2: A luxurious dinner tonight.
3: Snot Worms for dinner tonight.
4: Pupu Rats for dinner tonight.
The audience could choose whatever they wanted for these ‘performers’ to eat tonight. It wasn’t just dinner; it included everything imaginable and unimaginable.
All these options would be presented for the audience to choose from. The Supernovas from the Spirit Continent had been enduring this torment since arriving in the Elf dimension.
“Let them eat cockroaches!”
“Eww, that’s disgusting. They haven’t had a proper meal in a long time!”
“Let them have a luxurious dinner… it’s so pitiful…”
Of course, even in such an environment, there were still kind-hearted people.
However, a single kind-hearted person couldn’t change anything. What they ate for dinner was determined by millions of viewers!
Not only the people sitting here but also the people in other cities who were watching the program. They would collectively make this choice.
Chen Xing looked at the countdown numbers on the screen and the accumulating vote counts for each option. A chill ran down his spine…
