At that moment, the four leading elves descended from the sky, each occupying a corner, forming four points.
The next moment, a square, semi-transparent barrier appeared between them.
Within the semi-transparent barrier, there was nothing visible, just the sound of a lazy and pleasant voice: “Have we arrived?”
“Princess?”
Everyone instantly recognized this voice because every night, the Elven Princess would broadcast across the entire dimension. Her voice was soothing, sweet, and tender, lulling everyone to sleep.
The Elven Princess was considered the goddess of all the inhabitants of the Elf Dimension due to her unparalleled beauty and voice. She was perfect in every way.
“Princess! Can you hear us?”
The people below were going crazy upon hearing her voice, as if they wanted to jump up from the ground and into the barrier.
“Shh… Quiet down,” the Princess’s lovely voice came from within the barrier. As expected, her voice was very magical.
After she spoke, the entire audience fell silent. Chen Xing and the two little Zeroes kept their mouths shut, not daring to make a sound.
“Switch,” the Princess’s voice dropped.
Instantly, the television programs disappeared, replaced by the beautiful face of the Elven Princess.
She wore the crown of a princess and sat casually on a throne made of flowers. She was dressed in the same pure white ceremonial gown as every Elven Princess before her. Her golden twin tails hung quietly on either side of her body.
She greeted, “Good afternoon, everyone. I’m here to talk about something.”
“Do you all remember what year it is this year?”
“New Calendar 2023!” someone replied.
“That’s right, New Calendar 2023!” The Princess nodded as she played with her twin tails nonchalantly, always wearing a smile on her face.
“Do any of you still remember what my astrologer said back in 2021?”
Although the Princess appeared youthful, she exuded a certain level of authority. She spoke with an air of detachment throughout but gave off the impression of being approachable and friendly, making her an amicable princess.
Very bizarre.
Even the people present thought that her speech was gentle.
But in Chen Xing’s eyes, she is still the same as she should be.
After the Princess finished her sentence, no one in the audience spoke.
The Princess’s astrologer’s predictions were rarely accurate. After all, astrology was not always precise, and who remembered what he said two years ago?
Seeing that no one answered, the Princess didn’t get angry. To ease the awkwardness, she chuckled lightly.
“Hehe~ I knew you all wouldn’t remember.”
“You’re really a bunch of… silly melons~ Haha…”
“Hahaha.”
The people around laughed happily when they saw the Princess joking and not getting angry.
Chen Xing, on the other hand, furrowed his brow slightly. This Princess had definitely used a euphemism earlier.
Honestly, this Princess did have a nice appearance, and she was a little loli. Her style was quite similar to little Zero’s.
But objectively speaking, little Zero was still obviously more beautiful.
Little Zero was the best!
As she laughed, the Elven Princess put away her smile. The Elves who had been laughing with her suddenly stopped, as if they were puppets controlled by her. When she stopped smiling, everyone stopped too. The entire audience fell silent once again.
The Elven Princess looked coldly at the crowd, and they stared back at her.
The next moment, the Princess’s cold face slowly showed a smile.
“Pfft…”
She burst into laughter.
“Hahaha!”
The Elves around Chen Xing laughed along once more.
The Elven Princess laughed heartily, and they laughed heartily too!
Chen Xing and the two little Zeros were filled with question marks.
San’er was also puzzled: 【Is there something wrong… What are they laughing at? 】
Chen Xing couldn’t figure out what they were laughing at. It seemed that when this Elven Princess appeared, everyone became somewhat abnormal. Although they had always seemed a bit unusual.
In fact, this was a little game that the Elven Princess played with her subjects every time she appeared. Although it wasn’t very exciting, she enjoyed it, and so did everyone else. There was nothing wrong with it; it was just a bit odd.
After the laughter subsided, the Elven Princess finally remembered what she wanted to say.
“In 2021, my astrologer predicted that this year, a superstar would appear!”
“A world superstar!”
After saying this, she looked at the crowd.
Strangely, even though there was a screen between them, Chen Xing felt like she was right in front of him. It was unclear whether it was because the projections on the screens were too realistic or for some other reason.
After the Princess finished speaking, the people began to look around.
“Is that true?”
“I vaguely remember something like that.”
“But isn’t that nonsense?”
“An entertainer who rises to fame quickly will fall just as quickly.”
“Entertainers rise and fall like flowing water, but the Super Voice Company is invincible.”
“For how many years, we haven’t seen a true world superstar.”
In a world filled with entertainment, any star could become irrelevant at any moment. How could one be considered a superstar? How could one be called a world superstar? It would require the recognition of people from all corners of the world. But reaching a consensus among so many voices was challenging.
So when the astrologer made that statement in the past, most people thought it was nonsense. But now the Princess was bringing it up again.
“Could it be that a superstar has already appeared?” Some people couldn’t help but look around in confusion.
“A superstar has appeared?” People began to exchange puzzled glances.
Just when everyone was unsure of what was happening, the Elven Princess suddenly sat up straight with a passionate light in her eyes.
“That’s right!”
Her voice was no longer lazy as before.
“Last night, my astrologer told me.”
“That today, in District 39!”
“Amongst you!”
“A superstar is about to be born!”
!!!
???
The entire audience erupted in astonishment!
Many journalists in the audience had already prepared their headlines: “Shocking! A Superstar in Our Midst!”
Everyone looked at each other, scanning the crowd.
“What are you looking at me for?”
“Are you the superstar?”
“Of course not! Are you?”
“I’m not either!”
Everyone was baffled!
Indeed, the place where Chen Xing was located was District 39! A superstar was about to be born among them!
At this moment, cities in the surrounding districts were also buzzing with excitement.
Elves from nearby areas were flying towards District 39, filling the sky and blocking out the sunlight.
“Oh my goodness! District 39 is about to give birth to a superstar!”
“Quick, let’s go see!”
“This is a historic moment!”
“For thousands of years, the first world superstar!”
Why were they so excited? Because they had nothing better to do.
In this entertainment-centric world, there was nothing that excited them more than this. The Elves of this world had an almost obsessive passion for such things.
It was a bizarre and almost perverse obsession, evident in the way they broadcasted content about the Supernovas and their peculiar native entertainment shows filled with uncensored content.
From talking cockroaches to chicken-shaped creatures that resembled bugs, there was no shortage of strange and unusual things that reflected their peculiar tastes.
There was also that piece of shit…
It was difficult to imagine what kind of thing, creature, or person could unify the tastes of these people and become a world superstar in everyone’s eyes.
In Chen Xing’s understanding, if there was such a person, they must be a combination of all the bizarre traits.
Otherwise, what kind of person could satisfy the preferences of this group of eccentric individuals?
Chen Xing couldn’t think of one.
Soon, a large group of elves from neighboring areas arrived in District 39.
Because the Sun Corps were in the air, they landed directly on the ground, leading to District 39 accommodating all the elves from the surrounding areas.
Quickly, more and more elves crowded into the area, and it became increasingly packed. The crowd was buzzing with excitement as everyone wanted to witness this historic moment.
Just then, the princess spoke again:
“Don’t be in a hurry. There’s still an hour left until the astrologer’s predicted time.”
She had been smiling before, but after saying this, her expression suddenly changed:
“During this time, no one who has arrived here is allowed to leave.”
“Disobeying this order will result in death!”
“Yes, Your Highness!”
The 3,900 members of the Sun Corps in the sky all shouted simultaneously, their momentum overwhelming. Chen Xing felt like the ground beneath his feet was trembling.
Once again, he looked at the Elven Princess.
Why was she behaving like she had some sort of split personality?
【 Wait a moment! 】
【 One hour!? 】
Suddenly, San’er spoke up.
Chen Xing didn’t dare to speak out loud in public, fearing that it might attract attention.
He asked in his mind, “What’s going on?”
【 One hour later, a superstar will be born. 】
【 One hour later is the time when Zero’s elf form disappears! 】
Chen Xing: !!!
