Chapter 16: Don’t Bite Her to Death

Tonight is our last night before leaving campus. Tomorrow, everyone will move out of the dorms and go their separate ways.

Lin Miao hasn’t returned since being picked up by a luxury car. The five of us in the dorm decided to have a big meal and then sing karaoke all night long.

Because it was graduation season, the restaurants and entertainment venues around the school were packed with seniors.

Zhang Qiong and He Li took the microphone and were singing a duet with deep emotion.

I smiled, pretending to be relaxed. “It’s nothing. I’m just a little sentimental because I’m about to graduate.”

“Yeah, time flies so fast!” She breathed a sigh of relief and turned to ask me, “Why did you quit that job? Wasn’t the pay very good?”

I shook my head, forcing an indifferent wry smile. “The employer had too many issues. I couldn’t handle it.”

“It’s hard to earn money these days!” Peng Fei patted my shoulder. “It doesn’t matter. Try again. My Xiaomai is so pretty and hardworking. You’ll definitely find a good job.”

Soon three burly men with rough appearances came in, a total of four men, they each showed greedy and lecherous expressions.
