Chapter 44: Peril in the Ghost Market (2)
The woman reeked of perfume.
I stepped in front of Wen Ye, pushed her back, and fired off a verbal barrage: “Take a good look at yourself! You think you’re all that, rubbing up against other people! The three pounds of foundation on your face can’t even hide your wrinkles and darkened face! Didn’t look in the mirror before you came out? Just look at that insatiable, energy-drained face!”
“Oh, you think you know a lot of tricks? You think you can compete with a streetwalker who’s been in every kind of man’s bed? Be careful, or you’ll be haunted by ghosts due to insufficient yang energy!”
“Such a sharp-tongued little brat! Do you even know who I am?” The woman said haughtily.
“I don’t care who you are!” I glanced at the man behind her and sneered. “You’re the kind of old hag who specializes in leeching off men’s money, jumping from one man’s bed to another. How dare you even speak so loudly here!”
“You think you can just latch onto anyone? Not all men fall for your tricks! Go serve those horny old geezers!”
I stood with my hands on my hips, rattling off a long string of insults. The woman was so angry that the foundation on her face was trembling.
She was about to explode when the man sitting at the counter stood up, leeringly approached me, and wrapped his arm around the woman’s waist.
“Hehe, little girl, you’re spot on! Isn’t she just serving old geezers!”
The man had a bald head, a potbelly, and was decked out in designer brands. He wore a thick gold chain around his neck and carried a briefcase under his arm, looking every bit the nouveau riche.
However, his complexion was pale and his dark circles were heavy, clearly indicating a lack of yang energy.
Wow, these two are a perfect match!
Before I could process the meaning behind the man’s words, Wen Ye pulled me to his side and coldly roared at the balding man, “Get lost!”
“Hey, hey, why are you talking like that, you little punk!”
The balding man tried to grab Wen Ye’s collar, but Wen Ye grabbed his neck, lifted him off the ground, and held him up.
“Behave yourself, or I’ll make sure you can’t even be a ghost!”
The balding man’s face turned red, and his eyeballs bulged. I was worried someone might die, so I tugged on Wen Ye’s arm, signaling him to just teach him a lesson.
The woman shrieked, and the shop owner came forward with a hearty laugh to smooth things over. “Everyone, please calm down! Please calm down! Everyone who enters is a guest, and meeting is fate. Please don’t fight.”
“For my sake, let’s all talk nicely. It’s all my fault for not being a good host. I’ll give you all a little gift. I guarantee it’ll help you all vent your anger!”
When I heard there were gifts, I tugged on Wen Ye and whispered, “Let go, let go! I’ll die from the poison in a minute.”
Wen Ye pursed his lips, raised his hand, and tossed the man into the arms of the panicked woman. The man’s hefty body landed on the woman, and they both fell to the ground.
Ignoring the balding man’s frantic coughing and the woman’s wails, I rubbed my hands together and asked the male shop owner with shining eyes, “What gift?”
He chuckled, a sly look in his eyes, and opened a glass cabinet. He took out two small black medicine bottles. “I see that you and your husband are both in good physical shape and have such fiery temperaments, so ordinary aphrodisiacs probably can’t satisfy you or release the fire in your bodies!”
“This is my ancestral secret recipe, passed down for a hundred years. Whether it’s for the living or the dead, whether you’re frigid or have erectile dysfunction, these will make you feel like fish in the water on the bed, create harmonious music, and ascend to the clouds together…”
The smile on my face froze, then my face turned red, and I shouted, “What, what, what kind of terrible gift is this! Who gives something like this! Your mother is frigid! You have erectile dysfunction! Keep it for yourself!”
The owner was stunned, then suddenly laughed: “You and your husband are browsing an adult store. What is wrong with giving you aphrodisiacs as a gift?! If you don’t have dysfunction, do you want a small toy? Come come come, I have everything here, you will definitely be satisfied!”
After speaking, he opened a few drawers, which were filled with eye-burning devices.
My head exploded–an adult shop?!
“But if you want to achieve the most satisfying effect, small tools have to be customized… Hey hey hey girl, you are all adults, there is no need to be shy!”
I rushed out of the store, completely stunned – a pink sign, sexy posters, and the words ‘Pink Lady Adult Products’ written on the big sign.
Didn’t that stinky fox say to extract the poison! Why did he pull to here!
I rushed into the door angrily, glared at Wen Ye with my hands on my hips, and asked him to give me an explanation.
When the store owner saw that my expression was wrong, he immediately changed the subject: “Yo, it seems that this young lady is not here to buy these things. Could it be that she is here to extract poison?”
“Yes.” Wen Ye said calmly.
“I see, I was confused. How could two young people like you not be able to do it, but you still need some fun in bed. Why not give it a try? I guarantee it will give you a different experience. This bottle of Ecstasy Powder will be given to you by the store.” The store owner winked at us and smiled mischievously.
Wen Ye’s face was calm, without any embarrassment, and he gave the store owner a cold look: “No need.”
I clenched my fists, my face blushing, and shouted, “Old rogue, keep it for yourself!”
The balding man, who had gotten up from the ground, was a little wary of Wen Ye and said grudgingly: “Since you two heroes don’t need it, why not give it to me.”
I gave him an angry look: “You’re already like this. Be careful, the woman behind you will suck up your blood and die on the bed.”
“Hehe, if I die, I’ll just change to the next body. It doesn’t matter.”
“What do you mean?” I looked at him in confusion.
Wen Ye frowned in disgust: “This person is possessed by a male ghost.”
“Ah? Ghost possession? Can this this this also work?” I widened my eyes, stunned.
“Hehe, little sister, this person has karmic entanglements with me. Now that I’m on his body, spending his money, playing with women, and not harming anyone, why can’t it work?” The Mediterranean man smiled very lewdly.
The woman in the back must know that this person is a ghost. What kind of perverted relationship and gameplay is this?
I threw the porcelain bottle into the Mediterranean man’s arms: “Here you are!”
The man took it with a smile and walked away with the woman in his arms. The woman looked at Wen Ye from time to time before going out.
So annoying!
After sending the two away, the store owner led us to the second floor, chattering that since the poison-extracting gentleman here left, all the work in the two stores had fallen on his shoulders and he couldn’t handle it at all.
“Then can you do it?” I doubted his poison extraction skills.
How could an adult store owner be associated with poison extraction…
The store owner motioned for me to sit on the sofa and said with a smile: “Little girl, never ask a man if he can do it…”
The owner looked at my two wrists, frowned slightly, raised his head and asked: “You were scratched by a fox spirit, right?”
“How do you know?” It seemed that he really had some skills.
“The wound has a fox smell. Can’t you smell it?” The owner looked at me amusedly and took out a large ceramic jar from a black cabinet.
Sweat… Was it left behind when Wen Ye licked it just now?
“Little girl, you are the fourth patient who came to me to extract fox spirit poison. Recently, this foxy fox has been a bit rampant.”
As he spoke, the store owner used wooden tweezers to pick out a fleshy, smooth worm from the ceramic jar, ready to place it on my wound.
“Ah!!” I was very afraid of soft-bodied animals, and goosebumps rose all over my body when I looked at them, and I retracted my hand in fright.
Wen Ye grabbed my wrist and sternly scolded: “Don’t move! This is a Gu worm that specializes in absorbing yin poison. It won’t bite randomly.”
“But I’m really a little scared…” My voice trembled as I watched the fleshy worm on the tweezers, which looked like an earthworm and a centipede, wriggling wildly. I felt an instinctive fear.
The store owner smiled and said, “This handsome guy, why don’t you hug her? It’s normal for girls to be afraid of these things.”
I didn’t dare to look at Wen Ye. He probably wouldn’t make intimate moves in front of outsiders. It would be embarrassing to be rejected–
