Chapter 16: Forced Entry!
“Mm!”
Bai Siyu blushed, looking very serious as she said, “Marry a chicken, follow the chicken; marry a dog, follow the dog!”
“Moreover, if it weren’t for the master’s rescue, I fear we would have…”
She paused for a moment.
“Master, we know you’re a good person, but from the moment you saved us, we belong to you!”
“As long as you don’t abandon us!”
“Then, alive, we are yours; dead, we are your ghosts!”
At this point, Bai Siyu’s eyes were filled with determination.
Beside her, Su Ruan also nodded seriously, agreeing with Lu Chuan’s words.
Lu Chuan’s eyes sparkled, and he nodded slightly. “I understand!”
…
The next morning!
After Lu Chuan got up, Bai Siyu hid under the blanket, covering her head.
It was as if she were a quail trying to hide.
Lu Chuan went to the kitchen, cooked some porridge, and prepared some small dishes.
It was all simple home cooking, but the wild chickens needed to be eaten quickly. The leftovers would have their skins removed, washed, and frozen.
The weather was cold.
Having a refrigerator was actually quite easy.
Just gather some ice slabs, patch them together, and secure them with wooden planks.
This wasn’t difficult. Also, when placed outside, no one would likely steal it.
However, right now, Lu Chuan’s priority was to sell the goods.
He had half a side of wild boar meat, along with the badger he had killed, and was heading toward the county town.
Inside the house, however, there was a warm and somewhat seductive atmosphere lingering.
After Lu Chuan left, Bai Siyu carefully poked her little head out from the blanket.
Her cheeks were flushed, like a freshly ripened red apple.
“What does it feel like?”
At this moment, a curious head peeked in from the doorway. It was Su Ruan, who quickly said, “Hurry and tell me, what’s it like? It’s really strange—my ‘Kui Shui’ arrived at the wrong time…”
“But it’s just as well; we can still avoid each other.”
“Otherwise, I’m afraid the master really won’t be able to handle it!”
Su Ruan spoke up.
Bai Siyu gave her a bashful and annoyed glare. “What are you saying? Can you even say such things?”
“What’s wrong with that? Now, you and I, sisters, married the same man. There’s nothing that can’t be said in private, in our own room.”
Su Ruan casually said, “You still haven’t answered me!”
“My legs…”
“They hurt…”
Bai Siyu paused for a moment before continuing, “I feel like I can’t even stand up anymore!”
“Ah, so that means our master is pretty strong, huh?” Su Ruan said curiously. “I heard from the nanny at home that ordinary men probably finish in less than a quarter of an hour!”
“How could it make someone’s legs hurt?”
Su Ruan laughed and continued, “How does it feel? What’s it like…?”
“I don’t know!”
At that moment, Bai Siyu grabbed a pillow and hit Su Ruan with it. Then she said, “When your ‘Kui Shui’ goes away, you can experience it yourself, can’t you?”
“True!”
Su Ruan nodded, pretending to be serious.
…
Lu Chuan was walking toward the county town. On the way, he stopped in his tracks.
He could feel that a few people were following him.
It seemed they had bad intentions.
He first placed the items in his hands on the ground, then squatted down to adjust his shoes.
Taking this opportunity, he looked back to observe.
To his surprise, Sun Laizi and his gang had followed him all the way from the village to here!
“Brother Sun!”
“This kid actually hunted such a large wild boar. We might not be his match!”
A skinny guy, looking like a monkey, awkwardly spoke.
Sun Laizi slapped him hard on the head.
“Are you stupid? He just got lucky, and he had a bow and arrow at that time. Now, he’s heading to the market to sell meat. We’ll rob him on the way, and no one will know!”
Sun Laizi rubbed his hands excitedly, his eyes showing a hint of cruelty.
“Wait for my signal!”
“Wang Mazi, you take the sack. While he’s not paying attention, rush in, trap him, and then the rest of you, take your sticks and beat him up!”
“Beat him half to death!”
“Then we’ll take the boar meat and run!”
“In the village, we can’t do this, it would cause a lot of trouble. But now, he’s left the village on his own, so it’s no longer our fault!”
As he spoke, Sun Laizi’s eyes gleamed.
“Okay, we’ll follow you, Brother Sun!”
When Lu Chuan saw it was Sun Laizi, he immediately felt uncomfortable, as if he had eaten a fly. Sun Laizi was notorious in the village for being a scoundrel, and naturally, he attracted some followers.
Although he caused trouble in the village, he didn’t dare to go too far.
Otherwise, Sun Zhi would never have allowed him to stay.
In fact, he would have been handed over to the authorities.
To Lu Chuan’s surprise, it seemed that Sun Laizi had once again set his sights on him.
It seemed that the news of his hunting the wild boar had spread in the village.
Many people would likely come looking for him. He wasn’t sure if Bai Siyu and Su Ruan could handle the situation. He still had half a side of boar meat, which could be sold if the price was right.
However, life in the village wasn’t easy for everyone.
Just being able to pay for the year’s food was already difficult, let alone buying meat.
At that moment, Lu Chuan sensed someone sneaking up behind him!
“Bang…”
Lu Chuan quickly dodged and threw a punch right at the person’s face.
“Ugh, ugh…”
The person let out a couple of soft moans, then felt stars flashing before his eyes and collapsed to the ground, dizzy.
“Damn!”
Sun Laizi roared angrily, “How dare you hit my brother? Brothers, get him! Beat him to death!”
As he spoke, a group of people with thick wooden sticks charged toward Lu Chuan.
Lu Chuan squinted his eyes.
He quickly set down the half-boar and badger meat and pulled out a wooden stick.
Then, he swung it directly into Sun Laizi’s mouth!
“Bang…”
With a crisp sound, a dislocated noise came from Sun Laizi’s chin.
The stick was forcibly shoved into his mouth!
Sun Laizi immediately felt that his mouth was no longer his own. The unexpectedly hard stick forced into his mouth caused unbearable discomfort!
