The villa was large, and the six children of Sixth Master each had their own floor. The seventh floor was the entertainment room, but the rest was unclear.
Wang Qiang and Li Xiaoming were responsible for understanding Sixth Master’s social relationships. Just before they left, Xu Yi called out to the two of them, “Be careful and thorough.”
Yi Yu looked at the family photo on the wall. The family photo was everywhere on the corridor walls. Apart from the six children, there were also people they didn’t recognize.
“You think… where will Sixth Master’s body be placed?”
“It’s clearly suspected to be a murder, yet they didn’t ask a forensic expert to perform an autopsy.”
In the corridor, besides Xu Yi and Yi Yu, there were other participants.
Just as the two were about to leave to find the housekeeper for the villa’s blueprints, someone called out from behind.
“Hey, are you guys exchanging information?” Xu Yi turned around. “What information? Why should we trust you?”
The person speaking was very confident. “I can perform an autopsy.”
“Funny, the person next to me can also perform an autopsy,” Yi Yu replied, though he had never told Xu Yi that he could.
The person kept spouting off irrelevant information, which was starting to annoy Yi Yu, who glared at him. “What exactly do you want?”
“I just see you two analyzing everything so well. Can I hitch a ride on your success?”
“My name is Li Da. I just want to survive until the end. I’ve been observing everyone, and you guys seem the most reliable.”
“And I’m a person who values integrity. I won’t lie to you,” Li Da said, patting his chest with a vow.
Xu Yi motioned for Yi Yu, and after a brief exchange of looks, Li Da joined their group of four.
On the way, Li Da talked more than Li Xiaoming, so Xu Yi couldn’t keep up with Yi Yu’s pace ahead of him.
“Do you know where Sixth Master’s body is?” Li Da lightly coughed. “No idea.”
Yi Yu stopped. Coming down the stairs, the ninth floor was particularly quiet.
There were seven rooms in total. Yi Yu was about to unlock the door when a housekeeper appeared and stopped him.
“Detective, you can’t enter these rooms.”
“Why not?” Xu Yi asked, looking out the window.
The housekeeper hesitated, then replied, “The rooms on the ninth floor are filled with relics from past family heads. Only the head of the family is allowed to enter.”
The ninth floor seemed colder than the other floors. The three of them had no choice but to leave, leaving the housekeeper alone.
On the first floor, Sixth Master’s six children were sitting together, with the most attention drawn to the youngest son, who was crying on the shoulder of someone next to him.
Li Xiaoming went ahead to gather information, leaving Wang Qiang to continue the inquiries. Suddenly, the space seemed to darken.
“It might have tripped the breaker. Xiao Hua, go check,” the housekeeper called out to someone, and soon the lights were restored.
“Xu Ge, Yi Ge, let’s go to an empty room. There are too many eyes and ears here.”
Yi Yu poured a glass of water for Xu Yi. “Drink some water, your lips are dry.”
Xu Yi didn’t drink. Instead, he motioned for the frozen Li Xiaoming to speak first.
“Sixth Master’s six children have different mothers, and Sixth Master had six wives.”
“Among them, the eldest and second sons are the main supervisors of the company, one acting as the head, and the other as the deputy.”
“The third and fourth daughters are actresses, while the fifth daughter runs a flower shop as the owner. The youngest son just returned from abroad.”
“I asked each of them. They don’t seem to want to talk about the past.”
“Hey, do you guys want to eat first?” Li Da called from outside.
At the dining table, there was a silent stare-off. Li Da introduced himself again, and Wang Qiang returned with his food.
“Rumor has it, a servant saw the housekeeper go into a room on the ninth floor and hasn’t come out since.”
It was clear that everyone had the same goal. Yi Yu, who was resting in the room, wasn’t in a hurry, but Xu Yi didn’t understand.
“Why haven’t we gone yet?”
[Players 88, 85, 84, 83, 82, 81, 80, 78, 76, and 73 were eliminated and left the game.]
Wang Qiang, who had fallen out of bed, grabbed the quilt. “How could this happen?”
“Yi Yu, what do you think?”
In the middle of the night, the five of them quietly went upstairs. The ninth floor was a mess, and the picture frames on the walls were smeared with blood.
The smell of blood was overwhelming, and the servants were mopping the floor.
“You say, why is the housekeeper not afraid? We’ve never had this many deaths in this villa before.”
“Stop talking. Hurry up and finish mopping. We need to go down. You don’t know, the ninth floor has heavy negative energy.”
After waiting for half an hour, the five decided to check each room, but they found that all of them had been locked with a password.
“Why does it need unlocking again? I can’t believe this,” Li Xiaoming muttered as he stomped his foot.
“Hey, Li Da, what level were you on in the last game?”
The password lock was a disk, seemingly needing to be adjusted to the corresponding pattern.
