I actually fell in love with my mortal enemy
I actually fell in love with my mortal enemy Chapter 15

The night outside was dark, and the room was filled with the sound of soft snoring. Yi Yu opened his eyes and looked at the bed across from him.

The person in the opposite bed was sleeping soundly, completely unaware that someone else had joined him. The strands of hair on his forehead had been rearranged. Yi Yu started to collect his thoughts.

Seeing the other person sleeping so peacefully, Yi Yu felt a deep sense of relief, so much so that the next day, Xu Yi found himself being held around the waist.

Yi Yu had turned around and found himself staring at the other person’s chin. Looking up, he met a pair of “national treasure” eye circles.

“Forget it, considering your dark circles, I’ll let you hold me,” Xu Yi whispered before drifting back into sleep.

The big clock in the villa rang, and today, the butler had gathered all the children.

After a few days of investigation, the information about the six children had been mostly uncovered.

The arrival of the eldest son silenced the noise. One by one, the key figures arrived.

Yi Yu, from the upstairs room, immediately looked in the direction of the butler. This time, he did not look away.

“Uncle Zhao, the company still has business. I just wanted to let you know,” the eldest son spoke.

“That night, there was a company engagement. My assistant can confirm. There’s nothing to it. I’ll leave now,” he said, and before the butler could respond, the eldest son had already closed the door without hesitation.

“Uncle Zhao, you know me best. I wouldn’t kill my own father, right? Have you ever seen me get angry when he scolded me?” he added.

The fourth young lady touched up her lipstick and said, “Also, from now on, I won’t come back to this family. I’m going abroad.”

The third young lady sneered, “Fourth sister, dad just passed, and you’re already saying you won’t come back. Are you not planning to stay a family with me anymore?”

“Well, it’s your fault. After all, your mother can’t even make a name for herself,” the fourth young lady retorted.

“We were never really a family to begin with. Now that dad’s gone, I won’t pretend anymore,” she said, raising her hand to slap the third young lady.

“Did you enjoy playing the lead role in your last drama? I forgot to tell you, that role was one I rejected,” she added.

The third young lady’s face quickly turned red, and her voice became sharp, “I’m not as good as you. You’re just like your mother.”

“Everyone, be quiet. Enough!” The second young master’s voice rang out loudly.

“Here it comes. Here comes the real drama. Got any popcorn?” someone joked, and laughter erupted in the meeting room.

“I want popcorn too,” Xu Yi casually mentioned, unaware that he had spoken aloud. Yi Yu focused on the screen.

“Third sister, fourth sister, dad wouldn’t want to see us like this from above,” the second young master said.

“Second brother, aren’t you tired of being the good guy all these years? Or are you just spineless?” the third young lady laughed, bending over.

“If you really had the guts, why not take big brother’s position?” she taunted.

“Do you dare hit me?” The third young lady received her second slap of the day.

The fifth young lady, who had been silent throughout the whole exchange, was still trembling from the slap she had delivered. “Don’t say that about second brother,” she said firmly.

The fourth young lady had already left before the slap even landed, while the third young lady’s face turned bright red from the slap.

“Do you like second brother, fifth sister? You’ve always been so protective of him since we were kids,” the third young lady sneered.

“Third sister, you should leave,” the youngest son spoke up, silencing the third young lady.

The butler sighed, “In the end, third young lady still resents the old master.”

“Second brother, did it hurt?” the fifth young lady asked with genuine concern, looking at the second young master. She reached out to touch him but was stopped by his hand.

“Second brother is fine. Let me send you back to the flower shop. Sixth brother, are you okay?” she asked.

The sixth young master waved his hand, signaling the others to leave.

“Young master, the old master loved you the most when he was alive, but everyone must move on eventually,” the butler said kindly. The sixth young master went upstairs without a word.

“It’s simple. The true heir is the sixth young master,” someone whispered.

The system gave no response, and after 18 seconds of silence, amidst various curses, the butler opened the door.

“Detectives, I’m sure you saw everything just now. I won’t say much more. Dinner is ready.”

“When did you blow this up?” Xu Yi was munching on popcorn, clearly satisfied. Yi Yu coughed lightly, “You’ve got some on the corner of your mouth.”

“Eat,” Yi Yu didn’t hesitate when Xu Yi offered him some. The moment their fingers touched, something stirred within Yi Yu’s heart.
