I actually fell in love with my mortal enemy Chapter 7

Yiyu’s lips curved slightly upwards. “Let’s go, back to the dorm.”

Xu Yi had no idea what he meant. “What dorm?”

“The school dorm. I’m in the same room as you.”

It had been a long time since Xu Yi slept in a bunk bed, and he was excited. He touched the ladder, which had already rusted. “Do you think the system hunter will appear now?”

Yiyu was holding a newspaper and instructed Xu Yi, “Go find Li Xiaoming and the others.”

After the windows were covered with newspapers, Xu Yi handed the rest to Li Xiaoming. “Take these back and cover up, though I’m not sure if this will stop the hunters.”

Li Xiaoming was confused. “Aren’t you the only one here? Where did Yiyu go?”

Xu Yi recalled that before they arrived, Yiyu had said he needed to buy something at the small shop.

“He went to the small shop.” Before he could finish his sentence, Yiyu had returned. “Spray some disinfectant around. It’s dirty.”

Xu Yi took the bag. “You’re a clean freak?”

Yiyu sat next to him. “Isn’t it obvious?”

Wang Qiang didn’t let them continue discussing the topic of Yiyu’s cleanliness.

“We gathered some information. Li Xiaoting’s family lives in Building 2, East Di Garden, Apartment 301. Her homeroom teacher also said that when she was in the first year of high school, she was a good student, but no one knows why she changed in the second year.”

Xu Yi scratched his head. “Changed? Then what about her family when she committed suicide?”

“Their reaction was pretty calm. When they saw her body, they didn’t cry at all. They even apologized to the school.” Li Xiaoming continued Xu Yi’s sentence.

Yiyu already had an idea. “We need to visit her house.”

After deciding to go to her house tomorrow, Li Xiaoming said goodbye, and Xu Yi started spraying disinfectant around. “What disinfectant did you buy? It smells too strong.”

Yiyu looked at the packaging. “84, just ventilate the place.”

Xu Yi opened the balcony door. The sky was already pitch black. “Do you think we’ll be the first to uncover the truth?”

Yiyu replied, “We will. I’ll help you.”

Xu Yi looked at the twinkling stars outside. “If we succeed, what would you want as a reward?”

“Add a curtain in front of the glass door.”

Xu Yi hadn’t expected Yiyu’s request to be so simple. “Okay, I’ll remember that.”

The four skipped class and arrived at East Di Garden. Li Xiaoming had a feeling he couldn’t quite describe. “It feels like I’ve done this many times before.”

The door was opened by Li Xiaoting’s mother. “Who are you looking for?”

Xu Yi instinctively answered, “We’re the police, please cooperate with our investigation.” He then reached into his coat pocket, which was empty. Yiyu stared at Xu Yi for a moment before quickly recovering and showing her his ID.

The three of them were shocked but remained silent to avoid revealing anything. Li Xiaoting’s mother was still unfriendly. “Officer, did you make a mistake? We haven’t called the police recently.”

“It’s about your daughter, Li Xiaoting. Our police department found some suspicious things. We need your cooperation.”

A coarse male voice came from inside. “What’s taking you so long? Are you flirting with other men?”

Yiyu could smell the alcohol in the room and covered his nose. “If you don’t step aside, I’ll have to charge you for obstructing the police.”

Li Xiaoting’s mother had no choice but to step aside. Inside, a man in a tank top was holding a beer can.

When Xu Yi was the first to enter, the man threw the beer can at him. “You damn woman, sneaking around behind my back.”

Xu Yi didn’t have time for that. “It’s a misunderstanding. We’re the police, here to investigate.”

Li Xiaoting’s mother went to her husband. “Quick, apologize to the police.”

Li Gang pushed her away. “Apologize for what? He’s just unlucky to be the first one to enter.”

At this moment, Li Xiaoming and Wang Qiang were blocked at the door. Yiyu picked up the beer can and threw it at Li Gang. “Apologize, or next time it’ll be a glass bottle.”

Yiyu was now clearly angry.

Xu Yi tried to defuse the tension. “Forget it, forget it, the important thing is the case. Does your daughter still have a room here?”

Li Gang sneered. “What daughter? I only have one son.”

Li Xiaoting’s mother pointed to the room at the farthest end. “It’s over there.”

Xu Yi opened the door, and dust flew everywhere. “This isn’t a room; it’s just a storage room.”

Because the room was too small, Li Xiaoming and Wang Qiang didn’t enter. Yiyu closed the door. The room only had a desk, a bed, and some boxes.

“This doesn’t look like a girl’s room at all!”

Yiyu opened the drawer, and the bandages inside were put to use.

Yiyu forcefully made Xu Yi sit down and started applying the bandages. His tone was neither cold nor warm. “Does it hurt?”

Xu Yi felt a little uncomfortable and subconsciously fiddled with his fingers. “No… it doesn’t hurt. But next time, let me know if you’re going to get that close.”

After applying the bandages, Yiyu asked Xu Yi, “Are you shy?”

Xu Yi looked down. “Isn’t everyone shy sometimes?”
