Chapter 30.1
Ji Linyu didn’t have to do anything but stand there quietly and watch her smile, which was enough to make her blush and her heart beat faster.
Zhu Xinyue didn’t even wait for Ji Linyu to get close to her before she just got up and ran away.
Just as she was rushing out, Ji Qingyuan, who had a schedule this morning, just opened the door and came out.
Ji Qingyuan saw Zhu Xinyue rush past him like a gust of wind, heading straight for her room, opening and closing the door in one go.
Her eyes… Are they better?
Ji Qingyuan was about to be happy for her when he heard another door opening. He turned his head and saw his brother coming out of the room with his shirt unbuttoned halfway, making people think more.
Wait, Zhu Xinyue seemed to have run over from his brother’s direction just now, right? Ji Qingyuan’s eyes changed again and again, and there was something wrong with the way he looked at Ji Linyu.
“Don’t think too much.” His brother briefly explained, and Ji Qingyuan breathed a sigh of relief, only to hear him say, “It’s not time yet.”
His brother turned and returned to his room, closing the door, leaving Ji Qingyuan in the hallway, digesting a wealth of information.
Zhu Xinyue returned to the room, threw herself onto the bed, and punched the pillow several times, thinking it was Ji Linyu who was playing a prank on her.
Humph! Ji Linyu, this bad guy!
Zhu Xinyue vented her anger into the pillow before finally calming down.
When did he find out? She acted so well! Zhu Xinyue hugged her pillow and lay on the bed thinking about her flaws along the way.
The more she thought about it, the more she realized that it was not her who was deceiving him, but he was pretending to be deceived by her.
Why was he afraid that she couldn’t see, so he carried her out of the car? He obviously wouldn’t have done that before. He also held her fingers together, maybe he did that on purpose to make her reveal the truth.
Zhu Xinyue felt hot for no reason and fanned her cheeks with her hands to quickly cool down.
She lost this round so miserably!
Zhu Xinyue didn’t know that she had already won last night, she just wanted to find a chance to win back a game.
A strange desire to win has been ignited!
Just when Zhu Xinyue was daydreaming, there was a knock on the door.
The servant told her that there were guests coming.
Originally, Brother Hu came to pick up Ji Qingyuan to go to the magazine shoot, but when he heard Ji Qingyuan say that Zhu Xinyue’s eyesight had recovered, he immediately slapped his thigh and asked his assistant to send Ji Qingyuan to the shooting location first, and he would come back to find Zhu Xinyue.
He had to focus on Zhu Xinyue, who was still a young seedling.
“Xinyue! That’s great! You can finally see again! I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since your accident, and the dark circles under my eyes are heavier than when I first entered the circle…” When Brother Hu saw Zhu Xinyue, his eyes were filled with tears. He was more excited than she was, and he was truly happy for her recovery of her sight.
After all, being an artist is his livelihood. Only when the artists are good can he be good!
Zhu Xinyue poured a glass of boiled water for the 100-pound man to calm him down.
“Brother Hu, thank you for your hard work.”
After she got into trouble, Brother Hu, as the agent of both her and Ji Qingyuan, was also very busy. Ji Qingyuan was busy, and the agent would be even busier than him. In addition, Brother Hu had to bear the anger of fans, and the comment section of his personal social media platform was flooded by Ji Qingyuan’s fans.
Brother Hu held the palm-sized glass, finished the boiled water in one gulp, calmed himself down, and then got down to business.
“First of all, this.” Brother Hu took out a card and placed it on the table in front of Zhu Xinyue. “Qingyuan said that your relationship with your family is a bit… complicated. You ran away from home and came to Tianze City.”
“After you signed the contract with Jinhuan, Jinhuan bought insurance for you. The money in this card is the insurance compensation money after the accident. As for the medical expenses and the expenses of hiring experts, you don’t have to worry. Our big boss said that we will use his account.”
Brother Hu is also a smart man. He guessed that Ji Linyu and Zhu Xinyue might have some unknown relationship. After all, it was the first time he saw Boss Ji so nervous about someone. However, he was not sure and did not dare to ask more. He could only guess it by himself and quietly observe Zhu Xinyue’s expression.
Zhu Xinyue thought about the argument she had with Zhu Shilang in the hospital that day. Now she thought that there was actually nothing to argue about. It was just a difference in concepts and positions.
“How much money is here?” Zhu Xinyue asked.
Brother Hu pointed to a number and said, “Also, you have already finished filming your scenes in Peach Blossom Spring, and your salary is also on this card.”
Zhu Xinyue saw him making the number seven and asked, “Seven hundred thousand?”
Brother Hu coughed and said, “Seven figures.”
Zhu Xinyue took a deep breath and almost bit her tongue.
She has worked before and knows how difficult it is for ordinary people to make money, so when she heard the “seven-digit” number now, she couldn’t help but grit her teeth, feeling both love and hate.
After realizing what was happening, Zhu Xinyue held the card in her hand but didn’t think about what to buy with it. Instead, she thought that this could be used as start-up capital for her to make money in the future.
It turns out that the mentality when spending other people’s money and spending your own money is different.
“Apart from the matter of this card, the next thing is your next job. I didn’t arrange other work for you before because your eyesight wasn’t well yet. Now that your schedule is free, do you have any new ideas for your future development?” Brother Hu asked tentatively.
If she and Boss Ji really had something going on, she might not plan to get deeper into this circle.
Zhu Xinyue’s previous actions had always prioritized fulfilling the original owner’s wishes. Now that she has fulfilled her wish to protect Ji Qingyuan’s star path, all that remains is the wish to reconcile with the Zhu family.
“I want to make money.” Zhu Xinyue had to have a certain level of financial strength before she could say no to the Zhu family, instead of being passive like before, being pushed back by Zhu Shilang one sentence at a time, saying things like she would never be able to pay it back in her lifetime, leaving her speechless.
Brother Hu thought that this girl was quite ambitious.
“If you want to make money quickly, then shoot variety shows. Recently, Fruit TV is planning to produce a girl group variety show. It bought the copyright of the variety show from neighboring country H and brought it to China to produce the variety show…”
Zhu Xinyue listened to Brother Hu talking about this variety show. Why did it sound so familiar? Suddenly she remembered something she had overlooked before.
She traveled through the book, and the timeline she traveled through is at the beginning of the novel. The time span of the novel is very long. At this point in time, many variety shows, films, and television dramas that will be popular in the future are waiting to be filmed.
In addition, there are some industries that will be popular in the future, but they are still in their infancy.
“Please send the variety show and the script to my email first, and I’ll take a look later.”
Zhu Xinyue already had an idea in her mind. After talking with Brother Hu, she returned to her room, turned on her laptop, and began to search and compare the differences between this world and her original world.
From the perspective of technological development, this world is at least five years behind her original world.
In a sense, Zhu Xinyue could be considered someone from the future.
The biggest advantage she has is the information gap between these two worlds.
Although she possesses this advantage, she must not abuse it to avoid altering major events and rendering her “foresight” ineffective. It’s like how from the beginning she changed the plot of the novel, and now it bears no resemblance to the original storyline.
As Zhu Xinyue conducted her research, she discovered that Jinhuan Group had a vast commercial empire, involved in many industries that would become lucrative in the future. Besides Jinhuan, there were other major enterprises that had recognized the future value of these industries even earlier than she had.
Perhaps Jinhuan and those large enterprises were like the leading winds she could ride upon.
She just needed to catch that wind.

I’m glad that Zhu Xinyue decided not to reconcile with her family because their values and hers are just so different that they’ll never come to accept and understand each other amicably; some relationships are just better off being separate in order for both sides to be happier.
I can’t wait until she uses her “foresight” to earn a lot of money and then repay her father/brother just so she can prove them wrong about her and make a clean break from them.
Thanks for the chapter! 😀
