Zhang Yang instantly understood and gave Yun Tutu a thumbs up, “The teacher’s praise this morning wasn’t wrong. You really have a talent for this.”
They had been listening in on the class, but it was Yun Tutu who received the most praise.
No wonder she was chosen by that Dimensional Delivery service for contract; she has a knack for capturing the customer’s mindset. With skills like that, how could she ever worry about not having orders? And now, with two additional compartments, she had a total capacity of six cubic meters. Plus, she could hang two more bags in front. No wonder she found it hard to resist.
When the two of them, along with the store attendant, finished loading everything onto the vehicle, they were almost at a loss. Even though Zhang Yang had brought an SUV with a spacious trunk, there was no way everything could fit with the packaging still on.
In the end, Zhang Yang came up with a solution. He bought a few more boxes and stacked them on the luggage rack on top of the car, finally managing to head home.
“Looks like I’ll need to get a new car,” Zhang Yang laughed. She couldn’t help it; Yun Tutu was sitting in the front seat, her arms full of items, and the back was crammed to the brim. “Maybe I should get a small truck.”
Yun Tutu responded, “Today was an exception. I’ll use my motorcycle from now on.”
She used to think the motorcycle was too small, but now she realized just how much storage capacity it could actually handle.
“Now you see my value, don’t you? And yet you keep wanting more,” Song Song’s voice chimed in. Yun Tutu knew it was probing her thoughts again and was too tired to argue.
… Does arguing even help?
As the car sped along, Yun Tutu didn’t want to distract Zhang Yang, so she decided to converse with Song Song in her mind. “So, are these the only realms we’ll be dealing with? If that’s the case, I should stock up on more supplies. That way, I won’t have to rush every time.”
Song Song replied, “Everything is uncertain. However, I’ve marked these realms, so their needs will be communicated to me faster than those of new realms. You do like those golden treasures, don’t you? So this time, you can keep some for yourself.”
As a partner, Song Song was willing to spoil her a little.
“Honestly, as long as I have enough money, I’m satisfied,” Yun Tutu said, feeling content with her life. “Yesterday, I checked our school group. There are still many people who haven’t found a job they like.”
Touching the work ID still in her pocket, she couldn’t help but feel a bit proud. Now, she had a permanent job.
“Heh,” Song Song mocked, “You humans are truly hypocritical. I didn’t see you holding back when you were choosing items, and you even expanded into new business. Now you’re acting all noble? Do you think I believe that?”
Yun Tutu replied, “Times are tough, no need to expose me. Besides, the more customers I win over, the more energy you can collect.”
Song Song was silent for a moment. “… That makes a lot of sense, but something feels off.”
When Yun Tutu returned to the villa, Chen Yuxi and the others were already waiting for her. Another group was also there—the same people she’d seen last time she returned. They were busy with their instruments, eyes brimming with excitement as they stared at her.
“Don’t mind them,” Chen Yuxi reassured Yun Tutu while warning the others to tone it down.
Yun Tutu tried not to mind, but their presence was overwhelming. So many pairs of eyes fixated on her, she feared they might take her away for experiments.
Zhang Yang opened the trunk and started directing the others to help with the unloading. This time, Zhang Yaowen didn’t even need to call for extra hands; those stationed in the yard immediately stepped up. They were curious, too. How could such a small box hold so much stuff? When they saw everything being packed inside with room to spare, they couldn’t help but be amazed. It turns out that sometimes, wild imagination isn’t just possible—it’s necessary. They even thought about going back to read more books, maybe even those whimsical ones.
Seeing there was still space, Yun Tutu and the others decided to move some toothpaste and toothbrushes from next door.
Once the boxes were full, Yun Tutu strapped on a large backpack, with two bags hanging in front of her. Her appearance amused everyone present. If they weren’t sworn to secrecy, they would have whipped out their phones to take pictures.
Yun Tutu communicated with Song Song in her mind, “Song Song, let’s get going.”
A screen only Yun Tutu could see appeared before her eyes. Song Song’s wooden puppet figure gave her a thumbs up. “You’re pretty fast. You don’t even need to do any work, just stand there and watch.”
Yun Tutu smirked, “Well, what can I say? I know how to find good helpers.”
Zhang Yang and the others were oblivious to the fact that Yun Tutu had already had an extensive conversation with Song Song in just a few moments. A flash of white light later, those holding the instruments were scanning the entire courtyard for any traces or clues, but they found nothing.
Song Song sighed inwardly. The technological gap was just too vast.
Yun Tutu arrived at the same drop-off point as before, with Nanny Li waiting there again. However, this time she was accompanied by two older women whom Yun Tutu had previously seen by the Marquise wife’s side. Upon seeing her, the women warmly greeted her.
“Madam and our young lady are already waiting for you. Miss Yun, please come with us,” Nanny Li said, glancing at the items Yun Tutu brought this time. She nodded in approval. There were more items this time than the last.
Unfortunately, the vehicle could only carry so much. Many would undoubtedly be disappointed again.
As a mere servant, she couldn’t make any decisions. She just hoped that this time the Lord and the lady’s maternal Uncle would be satisfied and not make things difficult for the young lady.
There were a few more people in the courtyard this time. The last time she came, they were all women. This time, however, there were two middle-aged men and two younger fellows.
Lin Xi stepped forward to greet Yun Tutu on behalf of her daughter, knowing that her daughter wasn’t yet skilled in handling such matters and might inadvertently offend someone.
“Miss Yun, thank you for coming. It must have been a tiring journey. I’ve prepared some refreshments,” she said warmly. The changes Yun Tutu had brought to their household were immense, and her enthusiasm was only appropriate.
Liu Ziqi followed behind her mother, smiling at Yun Tutu. “Sister, it’s been a while. I’ve missed you terribly.”
Yun Tutu parked her motorcycle, now more accustomed to the attention she was receiving. Removing her helmet, she lightly tapped the seat and teased, “You’ve missed me? Or have you missed the things I bring?”
“Both,” Liu Ziqi replied, her smile growing more radiant as she noticed the concubines watching from a distance by the side gate. No matter how much their father doted on them, moments like these made it clear where they stood.
“Miss Yun, I apologize for the inconvenience, but our Lord and my brother have something they’d like to discuss with you,” Lin Xi quickly introduced when she saw Yun Tutu glance towards the Lord and her brother.
“This is Liu Fengning, the Marquis of Pingyang, and this is my elder brother, Lin Shan.”
