I Deliver Takeout Across the Multiverse Chapter 62: Apocalyptic World – Xie Yufei

Yun Tutu absentmindedly finished her breakfast and quickly ran up to the third floor to find Song Song. “Song Song, can I take a few days off from deliveries this time?”

“What are you planning now? You’ve only done a few jobs and you’re already slacking off?” Song Song retorted.

“It’s not that,” Yun Tutu explained, “I just want to go home for a bit. I haven’t been back since the Lunar New Year.”

“You could ask your parents to come here,” Song Song suggested, unimpressed. “Your home is over a thousand kilometers away. If something urgent happens, you won’t be able to rush back in time, will you?”

“I can’t just never go home!” Yun Tutu huffed. “What are you, an overbearing boss?”

“Don’t say that!” Song Song grumbled, knowing Yun Tutu rarely had anything nice to say. “Weren’t you the one asking for more jobs earlier? I’ve already lined up a few more worlds. There might be new orders in the next few days.”

Yun Tutu fell silent for a moment, then Song Song’s voice interrupted her thoughts, “Speak of the devil, here it comes.” He sounded excited, having just completed a level in his game. “Perfect timing.”

Yun Tutu wasn’t paying much attention and was about to turn around when Song Song’s voice rang in her ears, “You’ve got a new delivery order—Xie Yufei from the apocalyptic world urgently needs fever medicine.”

“What’s wrong with Xie Yufei now?” Yun Tutu immediately grew concerned. Every time she got an order from him, it was always about medicine. Clearly, they were in another crisis.

“They’ve been hit by a new virus, mainly causing high fevers. They’re running out of fever medicine,” Song Song explained, feeling unusually chatty.

Without wasting a moment, Yun Tutu rushed downstairs. Zhang Yaowen and the others were training in the courtyard when they saw her sprinting toward them.

“Tutu, what’s going on?” Chen Yuxi asked as she steadied Yun Tutu, waiting for her to catch her breath.

“Fever medicine—it’s needed in the apocalyptic world,” Yun Tutu summarized quickly. Immediately, the three sprang into action.

“This time, let’s try to bring as much medicine as possible,” Yun Tutu added as she followed them. Food wasn’t as important, given the availability of nutritional supplements.

“Also, ask if there’s anything specific they want to trade for,” she suggested, thinking about the advanced technology they had received last time. She had a few ideas of her own this time.

They couldn’t bring more vehicles, but they could trade for more storage rings. She also wanted a safe house, but that seemed less practical compared to the storage rings.

Wu Haojun personally delivered a large batch of supplies this time. When he saw Yun Tutu, he smiled warmly, “Comrade Yun, once again, we’re counting on you.”

“The list of items is here. The other side requested mostly fever medicine, so that’s what we’ve packed. There are also separate supplies for adults and children. We’ve included some anti-inflammatory and antiviral meds as well. Hopefully, these will help them.”

The intel Yun Tutu brought back last time had been extremely valuable, serving as a wake-up call. Now, the authorities were taking stronger actions, engaging in serious talks with certain foreign entities. If the situation escalated further, they were prepared to use force.

But the main goal of this mission was still to trade for more high-tech items. If they could bring back critical data, that would be even better.

Wu Haojun didn’t hide their intentions, explaining everything clearly. “Of course, if all goes well, that’s great. If not, just do your best. We know it’s tough, but we appreciate it.”

Yun Tutu nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. Lately, rumors about the island nation had been swirling, and now they waited to see how the other side would respond.

Wu Haojun also handed over the storage rings and water tanks they had acquired previously. “Knowing you can’t carry too much, we’ve packed these full. The water tank contains purified water, and we’ve also filled another with high-proof alcohol. Hopefully, these will be of use to them.”

Even though it was a parallel world, they still felt a strong connection, and they were doing everything they could to help.

Yun Tutu quickly pulled out her phone and opened the Cross-Dimensional Delivery app, checking her profile.

She sighed. She still needed to work harder—her level was too low.

Once everything was packed and ready to go, Yun Tutu wasted no time. She slung her heavy backpack over her shoulder, put on her helmet, nodded to the group, and immediately signaled Song Song that she was ready to depart.

This time, Yun Tutu found herself in a wide-open space—no rubble, just flat land as far as the eye could see. She checked her map. This was the destination. Experienced by now, she immediately called out, “Xie Yufei! Xie Yufei…”

On the third shout, the ground in front of her began to shift. Slowly, an ancient-looking door emerged.

As the door creaked open, Xie Yufei, accompanied by Ding Zongsheng and several unfamiliar faces, stood there, their expressions filled with excitement.

“Yun Tutu, you really came!” Xie Yufei rushed forward, with Ding Zongsheng close behind. It seemed that Ding had recovered well after their previous ordeal.

“Let’s talk inside,” Ding Zongsheng said cautiously, scanning the surroundings. They had chosen this open area for better visibility in case of danger.

With the protection of Song Song, Yun Tutu’s confidence grew. She drove her motorcycle right through the entrance.

“This is our underground city—our base,” Xie Yufei explained, introducing a middle-aged man standing to her left. “This is Wu Yaodong, the head of our base. He’s the one who coordinated this order.”

Wu Yaodong smiled warmly, “Hello, Yun Tutu. I’ve heard a lot about you from Yufei. You’ve been a great help to us. We’re grateful for your efforts.”

“It’s my duty,” Yun Tutu replied, her previous experience with superiors helping her feel at ease. “This time, as per your request, we’ve brought plenty of fever medicine, along with anti-inflammatory and antiviral medications.”

Wu Yaodong was visibly moved, “Thank you so much. The virus has been devastating, and with the mutant beasts becoming more aggressive, we’ve been unable to trade with other bases.”

The last batch of medicine they had received from Yun Tutu had been incredibly effective, better than anything they could get from other bases.

As they walked, Yun Tutu subtly observed her surroundings. The place was a true underground city. The long corridors were well-lit, with the same brightness as a sunny day above ground. There was no unpleasant odor, indicating they had an advanced ventilation system.

Rows of small doors lined the hallways, with curious residents peeking out to get a look at her.

“We’ll reach the office just around the corner,” Xie Yufei said, eyeing her motorcycle with interest. Despite walking, the bike had kept pace with them effortlessly.
