Chapter 6: A Body That Must Not Be Soiled

The moment Tang Liyue stepped into the dining hall, the antique wall clock rang exactly eight times, its “dong” echoes perfectly synchronized with her arrival.

Not a second early, not a second late.

Although she had arrived just in time and wasn’t late, the scene inside the dining room still made Tang Liyue’s heart race.

At the long table, the gazes of Yu Hao Shan, Zhao Zhiliu, and Yu Minchuan were all fixed on her.

Yu Hao Shan, the elder, exuded an intimidating air. His brows were furrowed, and his expression showed a hint of impatience.

Zhao Zhiliu, on the other hand, seemed to regard Tang Liyue with a deep hostility, her eyes resembling a poisonous snake in the dark.

Under her gaze, Tang Liyue felt like a defenseless chick, one that could be devoured at any moment.

Tang Liyue quickly averted her eyes, nervously swallowing, and bent to give a greeting.

“Good morning, Elder Yu. Good morning, Madam. Good morning, Young Master Minchuan.”

Yu Minchuan softly spoke up, “Liyue, you should address them as Grandpa and Mother.”

Tang Liyue remembered what Yu Minchuan had said about pretending to be a loving couple.

She took a deep breath and then repeated her greeting, “Good morning, Grandpa. Good morning, Mother.”

When no one responded, Tang Liyue dared not straighten her back, and she didn’t even dare to lift her head.

At that moment, the sound of leather shoes tapping on the tiles came from behind her. The sound grew nearer until the person stopped beside her.

Without even needing to look up, Tang Liyue knew exactly who it was!

The oppressive, spine-chilling presence could only belong to Yu Mo Yuan.

Yu Mo Yuan’s dark, sharp eyes swept over the table, then he slightly turned to lean in Tang Liyue’s direction.

His voice was low, his tone indifferent. “Miss Tang, are you being punished?”

Tang Liyue broke into a cold sweat, bracing herself as she spoke, “Good morning, Second Master.”

Yu Mo Yuan let out a low, muffled laugh, then turned to sit at the table. He lowered his head and adjusted his cuff, casually teasing, “Why be so polite? You can call me ‘Second Uncle,’ just like Minchuan.”

After speaking, Yu Mo Yuan raised his gaze to Yu Minchuan.

He said, “Right, Minchuan?”

Only after being called did Yu Minchuan look up, gazing gently at Tang Liyue. “Yes, we’re all family. Liyue, don’t be shy. Sit beside Second Uncle.”

Sit beside Yu Mo Yuan?!

That would be even more torturous than standing here!

Seeing Tang Liyue hesitate, Yu Hao Shan, who had been silent until now, finally spoke.

Yu Hao Shan waved his hand dismissively, “I said sit down, so sit.”

“Yes.” Tang Liyue had no choice but to sit down.

It seemed that the Yu family followed a strict “no talking while eating” rule. The moment Yu Hao Shan picked up his chopsticks, no one at the table spoke a word.

This, for Tang Liyue, was a relief.

At least she didn’t have to worry about Yu Mo Yuan bringing up what happened last night and their “moral downfall.”

The first to leave the table was Zhao Zhiliu. After receiving a phone call, she left the room, her expression tense.

Once Yu Hao Shan finished eating, he also left. Now, only Yu Mo Yuan, Tang Liyue, and Yu Minchuan remained in the dining room.

With the two elders gone, Tang Liyue finally relaxed a little and reached to rub her stomach.

Yu Minchuan noticed and frowned, asking, “Liyue, is your stomach not feeling well?”

Tang Liyue gently nodded. “My stomach hurts a bit…”

Years of hunger had caused Tang Liyue to develop severe stomach issues. When Yu Hao Shan and Zhao Zhiliu were there earlier, she hadn’t dared eat much.

Every time Zhao Zhiliu’s disdainful gaze swept over her, Tang Liyue would swallow the food quickly without chewing much, and now the food she had eaten had gotten stuck in her stomach, unable to digest, causing a dull pain.

Seeing this, Yu Minchuan quickly said, “I’ll go call the family doctor.”

“No need, no need!” Tang Liyue quickly refused. “It’s not that serious, I’m used to it. Once I digest it, the pain will go away.”

Someone who had been sold and living under another’s roof should lower their presence and avoid drawing attention.

She had done something shocking and morally unacceptable last night, and nearly caused trouble this morning by almost being late for breakfast, making Yu Hao Shan and Zhao Zhiliu upset.

If she called for the family doctor now, her future situation would probably become even more difficult.

Yu Minchuan furrowed his brows. “But being in pain isn’t a solution. How about…”

Tang Liyue was puzzled.

Yu Minchuan continued, “Second Uncle will pass by the hospital on his way to the company. How about having him take you to the hospital on the way?”

At the mention of Yu Mo Yuan, Tang Liyue felt her stomach hurt even more, her fear intensifying the pain.

Meanwhile, Yu Mo Yuan put down his chopsticks and chuckled softly. He then looked up at Yu Minchuan and asked, “Minchuan, why are you so deliberately pushing her towards me? Do you want me to leave her alone, or not?”

Yu Minchuan’s gaze was gentle, almost as though he were a weak person being bullied.

He sighed softly. “I believe Second Uncle understands morals and ethics. Even if he’s alone with Liyue, he won’t do anything to her.”

Ethics?

Just based on the fact that Yu Minchuan and Tang Liyue weren’t married, even if he did something to her, it wouldn’t be about ethics, just immorality.

Yu Mo Yuan turned his head to look at Tang Liyue and asked, “I can take you to the hospital, but do you dare get in my car?”

Tang Liyue immediately shook her head.

Shaking her head wasn’t enough. She turned to Yu Minchuan for help, her voice trembling, “I’m really fine! I don’t need the family doctor, and I don’t need to go to the hospital. I… I…”

She didn’t want to be alone with Yu Mo Yuan!

The events of last night were still fresh in her mind, her limbs still sore, and her private parts still felt strange.

Earlier, when they were outside the main building, the things Yu Mo Yuan had said, “You can only be mine” and “I’ll peel your skin off,” still echoed in her ears. She wanted nothing more than to stay as far away from him as possible. How could she possibly get into his car?

Seeing her reluctance, Yu Minchuan stopped trying to pressure her.

Yu Mo Yuan calmly adjusted his tie and straightened up. “If you’re afraid to get in my car, I’ll just leave.”

Tang Liyue subtly shifted her chair, moving farther away from him to make her stance clear.

Yu Mo Yuan chuckled at her action.

He took a step closer to her, bent down, and braced himself against the armrest of her chair, effectively trapping her in front of him.

“What… what are you going to do?”

Yu Mo Yuan lowered his head, his lips brushing against her cheek as he whispered, “I’m afraid you might forget, so let me repeat what I said. First, don’t trust Yu Minchuan too much.”

“Second, you’re someone I’ve slept with. Even if I don’t touch you again, you can’t soil your body. Otherwise…”

He didn’t finish his sentence, but the cold sweat on Tang Liyue’s neck made it clear that she understood.

Yu Mo Yuan released his grip on her, took a long stride, and left.
