Chapter 30: Michelle is such a foodie!
The room in the church is very large, with several religious images hanging on the walls, filled with solemnity and weight.
Before long, a graceful figure dressed in pure white priestly attire walked over.
“Michelle, why did you come here?” Leo was slightly surprised, “You didn’t have to come all this way to grant me skills.”
Michelle smiled slightly, “Waiting is quite boring, so I came in. After all, I am also a candidate saintess, which is quite impressive.”
“Alright, then I’ll leave it to you.”
This was Leo’s first time receiving skills. He saw Michelle softly chanting, and a beam of pure white light enveloped her body, releasing specks of white light.
These white lights gradually entered Leo’s body, and soon, he gained new knowledge in his mind about three skills.
“Okay, that’s enough.”
Leo opened his status and indeed found three new skills.

His status was much more substantial. After learning a few beginner skills, both his physique and life had slightly improved, though not significantly.
“Skills granted by the church can be revoked by clergy, but those learned independently cannot. This is very important; if you encounter clergy from the church, you must be cautious,” Michelle said seriously.
“Also, skills granted by high-class priests cannot be revoked by low-class priests, which is why I granted you these.”
Leo didn’t expect such a hidden layer; the church’s power seemed a bit outrageous.
This also made him resolve that in the future, he would learn important combat skills on his own.
“Wait for me a moment.”
Michelle quickly left to change clothes.
Leo waited at the church entrance. Compared to before, there were more people at the entrance, apparently drawn in by Michelle.
After a moment, Michelle came out wearing a white dress, with a hat covering her cheeks, probably to avoid drawing attention.
“It’s about time; let’s go eat.”
After distancing themselves from the church, Michelle’s expression relaxed a bit, looking somewhat happy.
“What are we going to eat?”
“Meat!”
“Meat?”
“That’s right, meat! The meat of the boar with tusks is truly delicious. I’ve wanted to have a big feast since I was a child, and now I finally have the chance.”
Speaking of the tusked boar, excitement sparkled in Michelle’s eyes.
Leo was somewhat surprised; could Michelle be a foodie? Her expression clearly indicated that.
“The tusked boar is indeed delicious; I’ve hunted a few before.”
“Mm, let’s go.”
Michelle looked delighted as she led Leo into a restaurant.
It wasn’t particularly high-end, but it was a bit more upscale than an ordinary restaurant.
The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean, and tidy, and it wasn’t noisy. With the guidance of a waiter, the two of them sat at a window seat.
“One roasted suckling pig! Also, braised pig’s trotters, stir-fried meat, roasted meat…”
Michelle held the menu and ordered more than a dozen dishes in one go, without repeating any.
“Are you sure about the roasted suckling pig for two? The young of the tusked boar are quite large.”
The waiter confirmed again; even the young ones were as big as an adult cow.
“Absolutely! Just like that, and… Leo, what do you want to order?”
Michelle handed the menu to him.
“This is fine.”
“That won’t do; I’m the only one ordering. You should choose something you like too.”
“I like what you ordered; there’s no need for anything else.”
Leo felt a bit embarrassed; although he had a big appetite, he couldn’t finish half a roasted suckling pig.
After ordering, Michelle sat elegantly, quietly waiting.
“I say, Michelle, can you eat a lot?”
Leo couldn’t help but ask. Michelle wasn’t the type to waste food, and ordering so much, she probably could finish it. Watching her eat so elegantly at the welcome party, he felt he was lacking.
Michelle maintained her usual smile and calmly said, “Not at all, my appetite is quite normal.”
Upon closer observation, a layer of fine cold sweat appeared on her fair little face.
“But with so much food, I doubt we can finish it,” Leo kept staring at her face.
“We can finish it!”
Michelle suddenly slammed the table, standing up excitedly.
“Is your appetite not big?”
“Not big!”
“Is what we ordered not a lot?”
“Not a lot!”
“Mm, I understand.”
Leo nodded knowingly and seriously said, “Michelle is just a foodie!”
“Not at all!”
Michelle’s face turned red instantly as she immediately retorted.
“Yes, yes!”
Leo looked at her as if he was seeing her in a new light.
“This restaurant is really good; let’s choose this one.”
Hearing the noise, Leo looked towards the entrance and saw a group of people in the Nidalan Academy uniforms walking into the restaurant.
They were a few acquaintances: Caroline, Locke, and a few inconspicuous boys and girls.
Trouble has arrived.
“What’s wrong, do you know them?” Michelle asked.
“Mm, classmates.”
“Should we go say hello?”
“No need, I’m not familiar with them.”
Seeing Leo’s indifferent demeanor, Michelle didn’t say much more.
Caroline and her group walked into the restaurant.
“Not bad, the environment is good.”
“Waiter, a table for six.”
As soon as they entered, the restaurant became much noisier.
“Isn’t that Leo? You’re actually here.”
What a coincidence; they noticed Leo.
Although Leo was not sociable, his unique style of doing things made many people in the class know him, and he was one of the only two commoners in the class, making it hard not to be noticed.
“Aren’t you a commoner? How do you have gold coins to eat here? Although this restaurant isn’t high-end, it’s not something a commoner like you can afford. Are you planning to dine and dash?”
The speaker was Ricardo, who was the first to greet Leo in class.
“No way, it really is Leo; I thought I was mistaken.”
“Dining and dashing shouldn’t be possible, I guess he just wants to enjoy the treatment of the nobles. No matter how much he dresses like a noble, he can’t become a real noble; he looks so poor, it’s too funny,” a girl said.
“Hahaha!”
A few of them laughed loudly without care.
“Annoying!”
Leo shot them a cold glance, his icy demeanor sending a shiver down their spines.
“Are we familiar? If you can’t speak properly, shut your mouth and get lost!”
“Leo, we are classmates after all; why do you have to speak like that?” Locke said, somewhat displeased.
“Classmates?”
Leo scoffed, “Before you talk about me, please reflect on yourselves; have you treated me as a classmate?”
“And you, Locke, I initially thought there was something wrong with your head and thought it was my illusion. Now it seems your head really has some issues. Is it appropriate for you to be so double-standard?”
“You…” Locke pointed at him angrily.
“Leo, you’re actually with such a beautiful girl; it’s too enviable.”
Ricardo noticed Michelle beside him, looking enviously.
Locke’s words stopped at his lips as he followed Ricardo’s gaze, instantly stunned, forgetting to be angry.
What a foolish look; Leo looked at him and sneered.
You’re still the protagonist; I misjudged you.
