Chapter 81: Feeding
“How does it taste?”
Michelle asked, her face showing some anticipation.
“It doesn’t have any strange stimulating flavors, just a very ordinary fish soup that retains the freshness of the fish itself.”
Unexpectedly, it seems Michelle really put in a lot of effort.
Leo breathed a sigh of relief, glad he didn’t end up in the infirmary.
“Right? I specifically learned from Sister Nadia for a while. Although it’s not particularly delicious, at least it’s edible without any issues.”
A happy smile appeared on Michelle’s face.
“You’ve worked hard, you did well.”
Leo complimented.
“Then I want to try what you made.”
Michelle picked up a piece of food with her chopsticks and took a bite, savoring it slowly.
“Mm, it doesn’t taste that great. Didn’t you say it was very good before?”
It was an ordinary flavor, not particularly outstanding.
Leo rolled his eyes, thinking, whose fault do you think it is?
To ensure speed, quality cannot be guaranteed. Now that he knew the saintess’s cooking skills had improved, there was no need to worry next time; just slow down and cook carefully.
“But even if it’s hard to eat, I will finish it.”
Michelle opened her stomach and focused on the food.
After a while, most of the food on the table was devoured by Michelle. Her face suddenly flushed, and her eating speed slowed down as she realized she had eaten too quickly and too much.
She looked at Leo, a hint of unease on her small face, and softly said, “Will you think I’m eating too much?”
“Of course not, I made so much just for you to eat,” Leo immediately responded.
“I just feel a bit unhappy, my heart is so complicated.”
The saintess felt gloomy, and her appetite had decreased a bit.
The saintess, who minded eating too much, was quite adorable.
“Who said you had to finish everything? Do you want me to feed you?” Leo joked.
Michelle’s heart trembled slightly, her body stiffened, realizing how shy her previous actions were.
She blinked her watery eyes, looking at Leo with a shy expression.
“Ah~”
The saintess tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, closed her eyes, and opened her small mouth.
Leo was taken aback; he truly was just joking before.
Looking at the vibrant, rosy, and tempting lips right in front of him, Leo’s heart skipped a beat, feeling an impulse to bite them.
“Hurry up.”
Michelle urged.
Leo suppressed his inner impulse, picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks, and brought it to Michelle’s small mouth, which she quickly took in and chewed slowly.
“It’s delicious. I don’t know why it tastes even better than before.”
Michelle savored it carefully; perhaps some sweetness was mixed in as seasoning.
Oh no!
Leo’s heart suddenly became flustered; the chopsticks he used were the same ones he had just used.
What to do? Should he tell Michelle?
Michelle was completely unconcerned, slowly chewing, while Leo’s gaze was fixated on her light pink lips, his heart unable to calm down for a long time.
“I want to eat more!”
Michelle opened her small mouth again.
Leo gave up struggling and continuously fed the saintess.
The speed of eating slowed down, and it took almost two hours to finish.
Looking at the empty plates, Leo finally felt relieved.
“Thank you for the treat.” Michelle said happily, “Next time, let me treat you well.”
The saintess’s cooking skills had improved significantly, and Leo expressed that it was no problem.
“I’ll help clean up.”
The two spent some time tidying up the kitchen.
“It’s getting late; I’ll walk you back.”
“Mm.”
By this time, it was already quite late, and if Michelle didn’t return, the people at the church would probably start to worry.
The academy at night was very quiet, and under the cool moonlight, the two walked along the deep paths of the academy.
Along the way, they saw couples hidden in the small woods, boldly being intimate.
The saintess’s face turned red, and she nervously glanced at Leo; the atmosphere between them became slightly awkward, and they immediately quickened their pace.
Arriving outside the dormitory of the church staff, Michelle stopped and turned to look at him.
“Your weapon should be ready soon; take me with you when you go.”
Not giving him a chance to refuse, after saying this, Michelle ran towards the dormitory.
Leo looked a bit dazed; could this be a date invitation?
He must be overthinking it.
During this time, he had been feeling restless, sensing that the saintess had been approaching him intentionally or unintentionally.
Perhaps he was overthinking; maybe Michelle just wanted to enchant and enhance his weapon, after all, she had mentioned it before.
Leo returned to his dormitory, practiced for a while, and then lay down directly on the bed.
In the time leading up to the academy’s classing battle, aside from practicing with Delisa, there was nothing else to do.
A few days later, Leo estimated that Master Jekes should have finished forging the weapon, so he told Michelle, and the two went together.
When they arrived at Master Jekes’s shop, they suddenly found the door closed.
Michelle approached the door, “Leo, look, there’s a note here.”
It was a map, marking a destination, indicating that they should go there.
“Should we go?” Michelle asked.
“Of course.”
The two set off again, arriving at the location marked by Master Jekes.
It was a cave, and a wave of hot air came from inside.
As they walked in, they smelled the sulfurous scent floating in the air.
Clang clang clang!
Sounds of steel clashing came from inside.
Hearing the noise, a person walked out, and it was Master Jekes.
“Just as I expected, you came.”
Jekes was drenched in sweat, having been in a high-temperature environment for a long time, his body felt hot.
He looked very tired, but his eyes were exceptionally bright.
“Is this your forging place?”
Michelle surveyed the surroundings and asked.
“This is just a temporary forging site; there are many places like this. Sometimes when the city doesn’t have suitable forging conditions, I come here.”
Jekes continued to explain, “This is a dormant volcano that can provide the heat needed for forging, and it is also equipped with a magic array that can summon heavenly thunder to temper the sword as needed.”
Inside the cave, a river of lava flowed, emitting rolling heat, and the top was open, allowing a view of the sky outside.
“How’s the sword coming along?” Leo asked, a bit impatient.
“Don’t rush; since you’re here, it’s almost done. I’ve also forged your bow and armor; give them a try.”
Jekes pointed to a pile of equipment on the stone table.
A pitch-black bow and ten arrows shimmering with cold light.
“These ten arrows are specially made, enchanted with magic; when shot, they will return to the user’s hand. And these armors weigh a total of one ton, so be careful when wearing them.”
Master Jekes was very satisfied with his work.
Although it wasn’t a legendary bow, it was one of the best pieces he had forged, and now he was just waiting for the legendary sword to be completed.
Leo first picked up the gauntlets and greaves; the one-ton weight was quite strenuous, and if he wore them, he would have to use most of his magic power to strengthen his body just to move.
This was the effect he wanted; his physical strength would grow significantly.
