Yun Yongxue suffers from albinism. When he looks at you with his eyes, which have a faint reddish tint, you get the feeling that he can see right through you.
The agent’s scalp tingled, but then he was surprised to find that Yun Yongxue wasn’t using an accusatory tone.
“It’s… it’s the soundtrack from a work in this year’s Dreamweaver membership exam in the Alpha Star System. I couldn’t find the name,” he confessed. “The Dreamweaver probably made it themselves.”
Yun Yongxue said, “Play it again.”
The agent did as he was told, rewinding the progress bar.
Yun Yongxue frowned and commented softly, “It’s a modified version of a track from the music library. Beginner level, they haven’t even scratched the surface.”
—Shang Jingyan was indeed a beginner in music. She was just good enough to make a suitable BGM for a horror film; you couldn’t ask for more.
Yun Yongxue’s assessment was already restrained. If it weren’t for his upbringing, the agent suspected he would have said, “Crude, ear-grating trash.”
“However,” Yun Yongxue’s eyes became somewhat fascinated and strange, “…the style is very unique.”
“The emotions… very unique emotions, never heard before… similar to the soundtrack of a detective work, but completely different… what is it?”
Yun Yongxue was lost in his own world, talking to himself, his speech getting faster and faster. Then, at the end, his eyes lit up, “Ah, I know. It’s fear.”
The youth’s slender, beautiful fingers moved across the keys, and after a moment, a melody similar to the one in “Moebius Sea” flowed from the pipe organ.
Yun Yongxue was testing, hesitating, each note a stepping stone. Then, the notes connected—
Hiss!
The agent’s hair stood on end. He felt a chill, the music echoing around the church, as if he were being watched by an invisible monster.
Is this what a genius is like?
If the original soundtrack of “Moebius Sea” was barely passable, then Yun Yongxue’s impromptu performance was a perfect match for the film’s atmosphere.
The agent could imagine how effective it would be to replace the original soundtrack of “Moebius Sea.”
But Yun Yongxue was still dissatisfied. He struck a heavy chord and changed the rhythm.
More eerie, more oppressive. The agent started rubbing his arms, imagining monsters lurking in the shadows of the church, but Yun Yongxue was getting more and more engrossed, clearly excited.
People said Yun Yongxue was a musical genius, but the agent thought he was a musical madman.
This was his state when inspiration struck. He was always pursuing extreme emotional expression, playing extreme love and hate.
But after growing tired of the flowery love stories on the market, he fell into a slump. Yun Yongxue hadn’t been like this in a long time, and the agent thought he was even scarier than before.
Yun Yongxue played for a while, his forehead sweating. He stopped and said, “Turn on the light screen projection. I want to see this work.”
The agent quickly rewound the progress bar to the beginning, and the deep blue visuals were projected onto the blank wall of the church.
With the eerie atmosphere, even though the agent had just seen it, he didn’t dare watch it again.
But Yun Yongxue watched intently, completely absorbed. He wasn’t afraid at all, but rather, he was getting more and more immersed.
“So that’s how it is… it’s a horror story about the ocean. The original soundtrack doesn’t do it justice, it doesn’t capture that at all…”
Yun Yongxue murmured, improvising again.
“This is the new emotion I’m looking for… great, I finally found it. I finally found it!”
The previous music was just unsettling, without a specific direction, but this time, the melody Yun Yongxue played was like every note was soaked in the fishy smell of the deep sea, gloomy and dark, with cold, bitter seawater seeming to flow from the pipe organ.
The agent could imagine the scene with his eyes closed: in the deep sea, a monster’s inorganic eyes silently watched the tiny fates in the loop.
On the projection, the female lead was crawling, her glowing scales falling into the cracks.
When she faced the countless corpses in the aquarium, Yun Yongxue’s melody changed.
The deep-sea monster screamed, emitting a terrifying whale song.
Then came the scene of the female lead facing her fate and breaking down, Yun Yongxue completely lost control, the notes crashing down like a storm.
The agent couldn’t help but want to run away, internally crying: this isn’t 1+1 equals 2 horror, it’s 1+1 equals 3!
At this point, Yun Yongxue’s music was no longer suitable as a BGM. The film’s climax was better suited with a quiet background, which was how Shang Jingyan handled it.
He was simply inspired by “Moebius Sea” to create his own music. The agent stood there listening, not daring to leave, and pulled up a chair to work, feeling like he would have double nightmares tonight.
Finally, after “Moebius Sea” played three times, the organ stopped, and the church returned to silence.
It wasn’t that Yun Yongxue didn’t want to play, but he was too exhausted.
“Cough, cough!”
He coughed violently, the keys making a chaotic sound. The agent ran over to give him water.
—Yun Yongxue’s health was quite poor, which was as famous as his eccentric temper.
He fainted halfway through his first public concert at 14, and had never appeared publicly since, spending his time composing in the dark.
Apart from that concert at 14, the only photos and videos of Yun Yongxue were distant shots.
“Cough, cough… make arrangements for me. The Dreamweaver’s name is Shang Jingyan, right?”
Yun Yongxue’s cheeks were flushed from the exertion, he caught his breath, his eyes as bright as stars, and looked up.
“I want… to contact her.” Then, he changed his mind, “No, that’s not enough… I’m going to the Alpha Star System to see her in person!”
The agent was stunned. He had come to discuss a collaboration offer from a four-star Dreamweaver with Yun Yongxue.
But seeing Yun Yongxue’s expression, he wisely put away the documents and nodded, “Okay.”
At the same time, he couldn’t help but think: when this news gets out… what an explosive story it will be!

V059.
After the membership exam, Shang Jingyan returned to her rented apartment. Lying in bed, she felt like there was no place like home—she was getting more and more comfortable in this world.
After creating a new document, X71 advised her, acting like a caring little helper: 【Yan Yan, you haven’t relaxed at all. You should take a break before starting again.】
Few Dreamweavers released works as quickly as her, not even relaxing on vacation, and even running a haunted house as a side job.
【I do plan to take it slow. Long projects need more careful preparation.】 Shang Jingyan yawned. After working on “Moebius Sea” for ten days, her mind was still stuck in a loop.
She chose the ocean theme for the reincarnation story partly due to the influence of classic works from her previous life, and partly due to the inspiration she got from the seafood market, which she used here.
She only had a rough idea for the infinite flow story, and right now, she just wanted to take a break.
She wondered if the inspiration from the “turtle soup” could be used in the infinite flow dungeons, but with so many dungeons, she needed to gather more material.
Besides the invitations from the central star system, Shang Jingyan was receiving a steady stream of messages.
Xiao Zhang congratulated her on her first place and told her that the ” turtle soup” app was launched, and she could play it when she had time.
Chai Yuanlin said that young people shouldn’t be arrogant or impatient, and should balance work and rest, and not rush to release new works.
Xue Jiang sent her a congratulatory email with the haunted house’s business report, saying that the income was impressive, and a Chinese-style haunted house was in development…
She also received a lot of love letters.
Shang Jingyan: I guess that’s how people are in space. Honestly, I don’t recognize many of the faces and names.
She put down her light brain, discussing where to go with X71, when she received a message.
Luo Zhiyu (promising kid):
【Jingyan, are you free in the next few days? The Star Festival is in two days.】
The Star Festival was the anniversary of the Alliance’s founding, with twenty days of public holidays, as important as the New Year in Shang Jingyan’s previous life.
【I saw on your social media that you like outdoor activities, and I happen to have two tickets to a shooting club. Would you like to go together? There are discounts during the Star Festival, and I’ll treat you.】
【It’s okay if you can’t go, I just wanted to ask if you were free. [Innocent] [Peeking]】
Shang Jingyan knew that Luo Zhiyu wanted to thank her for her advice, but was shy, so she made an excuse.
Shooting club?
Shang Jingyan was intrigued. She liked anything exciting, including extreme sports and shooting, which she often did in her previous life.
【Sure, I’m free. I want to get some fresh air and find new inspiration,】 she replied. 【When is it?】
She wondered what shooting was like in this world.
Luo Zhiyu replied instantly: 【Great! Tomorrow is fine, I’ll pick you up at 9 AM. [Confetti]】
Shang Jingyan got excited and posted an update on her profile.
JingyanV: 【Sharing single: [Star Festival Prelude.avi]】
“Star Festival Prelude” was the most popular instrumental piece symbolizing the festival in the past five years, composed by Yun Yongxue when he was only twelve.
Many recent classic works used it to express the joyful atmosphere of vacation.
Shang Jingyan refreshed the comments section, and the top-rated comment was: 【Is Director Shang going to ruin another holiday after using horror to taint honeymoons? I’m scared, I’m not ready.】
Shang Jingyan: “…”
She wasn’t that evil.
Shang Jingyan scrolled down, finding the comments increasingly amusing.
These kids…
【I think it has a deeper meaning, maybe she’s hinting at looking for a music teammate, @ music talents in the Exiled Star System, did you see that?】
【I agree, this is Director Shang, the future star with 180 mental strength, easy to team up with.】
【LOL, hop on the bandwagon, you’ll be the second in horror!】
Shang Jingyan was indeed considering finding teammates. She had asked Xue Jiang to look around, but hadn’t found anyone suitable yet. It was harder than a blind date—she wished her favorite composer from her previous life could come with her.
Thinking this, she liked the second-highest comment, thinking maybe a destined music Dreamweaver would see it?

The next day.
“Jingyan, over here!”
Shang Jingyan came out with a travel bag and whistled when she saw Luo Zhiyu’s “ride”: “Wow~ Cool!”
Unlike Luo Zhiyu’s reserved appearance, the black spaceship was wild, with a row of modified gold lights at the back.
Luo Zhiyu, wearing a white ruffled dress, opened the door and waved to Shang Jingyan, the dress fluttering in the wind from the spaceship’s turbine.
No wonder she invited her to a shooting club, she must be good at it herself.
Shang Jingyan got in and didn’t hide her curiosity. Luo Zhiyu smiled shyly: “If you want to get into spaceships, you can ask me, I’ll tell you everything I know.”
“Okay, I’ll do some research when we get back,” Shang Jingyan said. She and the original owner had similar interests, and the original owner had gotten a high-altitude flight license before she was an adult, and also liked these cool things.
Without any men around, Luo Zhiyu was much more relaxed. The spaceship drove to the gate, parked on a starship, and the starship took them to their destination, Blue River Moon.
With the spaceship, they could drive around Blue River Moon.
Luo Zhiyu’s reserved club was called Sauvignon, a manor, and Shang Jingyan saw a large open field, surrounded by woods, with a huge villa on a hill, the whole manor exuding a sense of secluded tranquility.
X71 was a system that could perceive beauty, and after admiring the scenery for a while, it suddenly felt something was wrong: 【…Yan Yan, are you thinking about something again?】
Shang Jingyan said seriously: 【I’m not thinking about anything scary, just a snowstorm mountain manor murder case.】
X71: 【…】
Wasn’t that scary enough?
Luo Zhiyu was clearly a regular, and the gatekeeper greeted her after they got off the spaceship: “Little Sharpshooter brought a new friend today?”
Shang Jingyan teased: “Wow, Little Sharpshooter, you’ll have to teach me, a newbie.”
Luo Zhiyu blushed: “They’re just saying that!”
As they walked, she told Shang Jingyan about the club’s history and gossip.
Sauvignon Club had been open for over 100 years, the largest shooting club in the Exiled Star System, but the previous owner lost money and had to give the club to his creditor.
The current owner, the former creditor, was very laid-back, and hadn’t shown up since taking over, and hadn’t replaced any of the original managers or staff, just letting the club run as it was.
However, it was said that the current owner was willing to do this out of sentiment.
This involved another story about the club.
A dozen years ago, there were often conflicts between the shooting clubs in the Exiled Star System. But one day, Sauvignon Club had a sharpshooter join, unbeatable, making all the clubs respect them, and Sauvignon became the largest shooting club in the Exiled Star System.
That new member seemed to have a deep background, related to space pirates and interstellar gangs, just playing around, and didn’t leave a real name, and it became a legend.
It was called “story” instead of just “legend” because that person’s shooting record was still hanging in the club, unbroken, proving its authenticity with hard-core strength.
—It was rumored that one day the previous owner let it slip at a drinking party that the current owner was actually the undefeated sharpshooter.
Whether it was true or not, as soon as the news came out, it attracted many enthusiasts.
The club was smart, and held promotions, which was how Luo Zhiyu got the tickets—though she was originally a member, using the tickets was just to invite Shang Jingyan indirectly.
The walls of the villa’s hall were covered with the honors won by various members, and Shang Jingyan saw Luo Zhiyu’s name on it.
A separate display case contained the awards of the sharpshooter, with only the character “Yun” instead of a real name.
She glanced over, then paused, seeing a familiar name on a third-place award: Shang Song.
—This was the original owner’s mother, and Shang Jingyan didn’t know she had been here.
A drunkard’s hand couldn’t be steady, this honor must have been won before Shang Song’s alcoholism. She was curious and wanted to take a closer look, when a voice came from behind.
“Little Yan?”
Shang Jingyan turned around and saw someone she knew: “Hey? Sister Cui, what a coincidence.”
Sister Cui looked like she had just woken up and come down for lunch, wearing slippers and holding a plate. Shang Jingyan hadn’t seen her in a long time. When she returned to V059 the day before, she heard from a neighbor that the landlady had gone on vacation again, and couldn’t be reached on StarNet, and the rent could be paid later.
So she was playing on Blue River Moon.
“It is a coincidence, I was going to congratulate you on getting first place in the membership exam. The roasted meat here is delicious, try some.” Sister Cui gave her a skewer, and gave one to Luo Zhiyu as well.
Feeding the younger generation seemed to make her feel accomplished, and after they finished eating, Sister Cui was full. She said excitedly: “Are you going shooting? I’m going to the range too, let’s go together.”
Judging from Luo Zhiyu’s reaction, Shang Jingyan guessed that Sister Cui wasn’t a regular here, at least Luo Zhiyu didn’t recognize her.
“Ah, okay, three people is perfect,” Luo Zhiyu said, a little stuttering but not rejecting the friendly elder.
She took Shang Jingyan to get equipped, while Sister Cui just wore a tracksuit, didn’t change her slippers, and carried a gun.
Luo Zhiyu hesitated: “Isn’t that a little dangerous…”
Sister Cui: “Oh, it’s fine, I’m just playing around.”
When they got to the range, Luo Zhiyu set the target robot to static mode, ready to teach the two newbies.
Shang Jingyan took a gun and figured it out, and started using it herself. The first shot missed, but the second hit the bullseye.
It was a laser gun, lighter and easier to use than the guns in her previous life.
She gave Luo Zhiyu an OK sign, and Luo Zhiyu went to teach Sister Cui, teaching her more carefully.
But for some reason, Sister Cui’s expression was a bit strange, but she still listened and nodded, asking: “Is that right?”
She stood casually, but raised her gun and shot, hitting a ten.
Luo Zhiyu was dumbfounded, she hadn’t even hit a ten in her demonstration: “…”
Who was the newbie?
Sister Cui said kindly: “It’s okay, I’m just naturally talented.”
Luo Zhiyu: “…”
That was true, but she still doubted her life!
Sister Cui lit a cigarette, seemingly losing interest in shooting, and wandered off: “And I played here many years ago, it’s not as fun as it used to be.”
Shang Jingyan wanted to learn about the original owner’s mother, and her ears perked up. She was going to ask privately later. Luo Zhiyu also asked curiously: “Have you seen ‘Yun’?”
“Oh, you mean that one,” Sister Cui said, dragging her slippers and pointing at herself, “That’s me.”
Shang Jingyan: “?”
Luo Zhiyu: “…?!”

Main Star System, Capital Star.
Ao Qingxue had told her fans that she would clear “Building 18” in one go, but she didn’t.
—She hadn’t gone online in the past ten days, except for the first day when she saw the exam questions, because she had gone to a hospital in the Capital Star for a checkup.
The lines were terrible, and she was so busy every day that she didn’t have time to stream. She only managed to watch “Moebius Sea” once, and had so many thoughts that she couldn’t share.
But luckily, the checkup results showed that her mental strength fluctuations were returning to normal, and her void syndrome could be considered cured.
Director Shang was the beginning of her good luck. Since the day she accidentally clicked on “Eldritch God,” her mental strength had gradually increased, and now it had returned to B-level 85.
The tree in the center of her mental landscape had also grown taller from a sapling, and all the withered, yellowed branches had been reborn.
Would it return to the original A-level?
Ao Qingxue was hopeful, but didn’t dare to be too hopeful. She had been A-level four years ago, and should have been higher after adulthood if she hadn’t had void syndrome, but now she was just grateful for her health.
Even the doctors were amazed by her recovery speed. Such a miracle was hard to replicate, requiring not only emotional stimulation from a Dreamweaver, but also a special connection.
Her career had also made significant progress.
She used to be a niche streamer, earning just enough to get by. Now, by consistently streaming Director Shang’s horror works and releasing fan works, her fan base had steadily grown, almost reaching the top tier of the website.
“I’ve heard two or three patients recently say they recovered after watching that Dreamweaver’s work from the Exiled Star System, she’s really talented,” the doctor said during the checkup. “If there are more cases, I’ll recommend her work to patients who haven’t seen it.”
As a loyal fan, Ao Qingxue was thrilled to hear others say that.
After leaving the hospital, she felt relaxed and reported to her mother: “Yeah, yeah… Mom, my checkup was fine… really, really, I’ll send you the report later… What’s next? I haven’t really thought about it, I… I still want to be a Dreamweaver.”
Ao Qingxue’s voice softened as she kicked the leaves on the roadside.
After the call ended, she put her hands in her pockets and stared at the traffic on the road and in the sky.
People came and went, and no one noticed her.
Ao Qingxue looked like an unremarkable young person, wearing a gray jacket and loose pants, with pale skin from lack of sunlight, long black straight hair, and light brown eyes under her bangs.
Outside the livestream, she would wear decorative glasses, and her expressions and language were not as lively as on camera, looking more like a socially awkward scholar who spent all day in the library.
Her mother had asked her if she wanted to continue being a scene Dreamweaver after recovering. In fact, she had been thinking about her future for the past ten days.
She would continue streaming, as it was her main source of income, and it would help Director Shang expand her reputation in the main star system. Half of her viewers were from the distant Exiled Star System, but as her traffic increased, more and more viewers from the main star system were attracted.
Perhaps she could gradually shift her focus and continue her dream of being a scene artist—she had won the Youth Scene Dreamweaving Award four years ago, how could she not love her profession?
While creating fan works for Director Shang, Ao Qingxue felt her creative desire slowly returning, and the prototype of an original work was slowly forming in her mind.
It didn’t matter if her mental strength was insufficient, she could do it little by little, even if it took more effort.
And… she had another idea that she was too embarrassed to say out loud.
Only by being a Dreamweaver could she get closer to her idol. Being a streamer would always make her just a fan.
Director Shang was currently working alone, and lacked a scene assistant. Ao Qingxue didn’t dare to hope to be her teammate yet, but she set her goal to join Director Shang’s future studio team.
Famous Dreamweavers all had teams, and Director Shang would probably be no exception.
Ao Qingxue spaced out for a while. Her return ticket was for the day after tomorrow, and she had free time, so she went into an internet cafe, booked a full-immersion pod, and started streaming.
【Qingqing!! You’re finally back, I missed you so much!】
【The missing person is back, good news! Qingqing, did you see “Moebius Sea”? It’s amazing!】
【I haven’t seen it yet, I’m too scared to watch it alone, waiting for the streamer QAQ】
The viewers were happy to see her return, and Ao Qingxue smiled and said, “I’ve already seen it, but I can watch it again with you, I want to rewatch it myself.”
“Before that, let’s play ‘Building 18’ and uncover the truth of Baishui No. 2 High School—”
The scene changed, and she and Langzhu appeared in the Baishui No. 2 High School campus in the third act.
