Chapter 156: The Mission in the Western Region (2/2)
With Wen Yuanyuan’s help, the second snowman was quickly built.
Yanyan still held her small branch and carved a few strokes on the snowman’s face while in Shen Cheng’s arms. A vivid snowman named Huihui was soon created.
“Pfft!” Shen Cheng couldn’t help but laugh at the silly-looking snowman Huihui and said, “Compared to mine, this one really looks more like Huihui.”
“Senior, are you calling me?” Huihui came over upon hearing her name. When she saw the snowman, she was slightly stunned, “Is this supposed to be me?”
How should she put it… although she didn’t want to admit it, it really did resemble her!
Noticing the commotion, the other girls gathered around. When they saw the snowmen of Shen Cheng and Huihui standing together, their eyes lit up.
“Next, we’re going to build a Cheese snowman. Would anyone like to join?” Milk Tea asked with a smile as she saw how eager the girls looked.
“Let’s build Cheese!” Cheese immediately raised her hand as soon as she heard they were making a snowman of her.
All the girls expressed their desire to participate, but there were too many people for just one snowman. So they split into groups of two or three and started building their own.
Liu Su had just finished a phone call and returned to this lively scene, smiling slightly at the sight.
Noticing Liu Su, Shen Cheng walked over and asked, “What were you doing just now?”
“I took a call from the Bio-Scientific Institute,” Liu Su sighed. “A peak in Kunlun Mountain at the Solmara Western Region showed some unusual activity. Many of the local elders said they heard dragon roars, and they want our Specialized Agents to investigate. This isn’t the first time, though. Every time we go, we come back with nothing. Not a single clue about the dragon roars.”
“So, another mission? And this time it’s in such a faraway place… By the way, do you need me for this one?” Shen Cheng sighed slightly before asking.
“You just focus on running the Cat Café here. We’re only going to the Western Region for an investigation. There’s no danger,” Liu Su replied with a smile. “Don’t worry, we’ll be back soon.”
“…Alright, when are you leaving?” Shen Cheng felt a little more at ease hearing this and asked.
“In a couple of days. A car will come to pick me and Shao Silin up.” Liu Su responded.
“Well, make sure to rest well in the meantime. I heard it’s much colder in the Western Region than here, so take care not to overwork yourself. Keep in touch as much as possible.”
Hearing Shen Cheng’s concerned words, Liu Su’s heart warmed. “Don’t worry, I’ll treat it like a vacation. The scenery there is nice. I’ll take lots of pictures for you guys. Plus, the Demi-Humans registration process isn’t finished yet, so I probably won’t get much rest these days. I can’t leave all the registration work to you, can I?”
Just the thought of going door-to-door alone and explaining that he wasn’t a trafficker made Shen Cheng feel a bit awkward. “No matter what, you still need to rest. If needed, I can help with Shao Silin.”
“He’s going to the Western Region too. Doesn’t he deserve some rest?” Liu Su laughed aloud.
In the following time, under the joint efforts of everyone at the Cat Café, a row of snowmen modeled after the café’s members appeared in the snow-covered area in front of the Cat Café, creating a warm and harmonious scene.
By the time they finished building snowmen, it was already noon. After a happy lunch together, everyone rested on the second floor of the Cat Café.
Shen Cheng, however, took out the silver suitcase containing Yingyu’s Demi-Humans Genetic Agent, loaded Wen Yuanyuan into the car, and drove toward Lingshi Central Hospital.
