Chapter 95: The Gang Leader Worries About His Daughter Becoming a Delinquent (2/2)
Yanyan was very obedient and didn’t need much guidance at all!
“Sigh…” Xiang Long scratched his shiny bald head and sighed, “Boss, my daughter… she’s been acting a bit rebellious lately. Not only did she pierce her ears and dye her hair, but she’s also started forming cliques at school…”
Shen Cheng: “…”
Shouldn’t this mean she’s perfectly inheriting her dad’s street genes? And seeing you worry about your “delinquent” daughter now, it’s hard to imagine that you were once a feared and powerful gangster!
A guy like you, troubled over your daughter being a delinquent?
How out of place does that seem?!
But when it came to dealing with delinquents, Shen Cheng did have some experience. His younger sister, Shen Die, once dyed her hair half-blue and half-red, even talking about getting piercings and wearing colored contacts, claiming, “This is how I was meant to look when I descended into this world!” Shen Cheng found out and dragged her by the collar straight to the barbershop to have it dyed back.
There was no other choice. If Shen Yu had seen Shen Die like that, she would have dyed her hair back first and then given her a severe lecture.
If it had been Shen Cheng, he would’ve just shaved her head and given her a beating. She would have gone to school swollen the next day and wouldn’t have escaped another round of punishment in the future.
“Uh… boss?” Xiang Long looked at Shen Cheng with a worried expression, looking helpless.
Shen Cheng couldn’t help but rub his forehead, “Why did you come to me for this?”
“Because…” Xiang Long scratched the back of his head and said, “When I told my other friends about this, all they said was ‘That’s Big Long’s daughter, alright!’ Not a bit of useful advice…”
Shen Cheng: “…”
Those were clearly the brothers you used to run the streets with, weren’t they?
“Your daughter… she’s a middle schooler? Tell me which school she attends. I’ll pick her up after work and check on her situation.” Shen Cheng frowned as he spoke.
After all, Shen Cheng didn’t have many friends in Lingshi City, and Xiang Long counted as one, so he had to help where he could.
Since she’s a middle school student, she’s probably around Shen Die’s age. It should still be easy to set her straight… right?
“Thank you, boss!” Xiang Long leapt to his feet, his face serious as he addressed Shen Cheng, “As long as you can set my daughter on the right path, my life is yours! I’ll follow you even to hell and back!”
“Alright, alright,” Shen Cheng waved his hand, signaling Xiang Long to sit down, with a slight headache forming.
As Xiang Long sat back down, Shen Cheng put aside his work and leaned in, beginning a quiet conversation about Xiang Long’s daughter.
…
Meanwhile, upstairs at the Cat Café.
“So boring…” Xue’er collapsed on the sofa, sliding onto the floor, then started rolling around on the ground, “So boring, so boring, so boring…”
She got up, grabbed the remote, and turned on the TV, only to find that most of the channels were playing nature documentaries. Flipping through a few more, she suddenly stumbled upon a scene of rabbits mating.
“Ah!” Xue’er shrieked as if she had seen something dirty, quickly turning off the TV with a flushed face, then sat back on the sofa, dazed.
But once she spaced out, the scene of the rabbits mating lingered in her mind and wouldn’t go away…
“Ugh…” Xue’er blushed as she covered her ears, then rolled back and forth on the sofa. Finally, she shot up, deciding to find something to do.
Looking at the uncleaned room and the dishes still left on the table after breakfast, Xue’er nodded.
Time to do some housework!
