“king!”
“If you’re disadvantaged, do you become a puppy? Huh?”
I’m spending my own money, so why are you making a fuss! Anyway, that Black Panther guy was really suspicious.
Time passed steadily as I struggled to control his morning sickness by bickering with Chase. A few weeks passed and it was already the end of the year.
In the meantime, I had to take the final exam in a hurry, and of course, since I could barely distinguish between black and white, I was told that I would have to retake all the subjects next year. It seemed like I would just have to take a leave of absence forever.
Chase was said to have the best grades among the seniors and would receive a full scholarship for the spring semester next year, which was his last semester. I was so touched when I received the report card that Chase brought me that I made the mistake of saying that I hoped the baby would be like Chase.
“Oh, no. If your personality resembles mine, it’ll be a big problem! Cancel, baby. Got it?”
“Do you want to get single? What’s wrong with my personality?”
“Look at the way you speak. Honey, you really are a brat… No, you look like you have a bad temper?”
“Show me your report card too.”
“…Baby, now that I think about it, it’s okay if your personality is a bit bad. So if you’re only going to pick one, it has to be like your leopard dad. Especially the hair…”
“He plays well by himself, really. What are you saying to a kid who doesn’t even have ears?” I’m not playing alone, I’m playing with the baby. Even though they don’t have ears or a mouth yet. I heard that prenatal education is really important. I held my stomach with both hands and mumbled softly.
“Baby, don’t be upset. It’s not that your leopard dad doesn’t like you, you’re just a dog…”
“You say you’re doing prenatal education? Why does everything you say look like that?”
Because you’re like that, that’s why you say things like that! I never understood why you wouldn’t give me a chance to talk to the baby quietly. Are you upset because I don’t play with you? I tried to grumble while glancing at Chase, but somehow his cheeks turned pale and his complexion didn’t look good.
“Are you feeling uneasy?”
This morning alone, he had already run to the bathroom three times and retched loudly. Morning sickness usually gets better as the baby grows, but for some reason, Chase’s morning sickness was getting worse…
“a little.”
“Is that a little bit? Isn’t that a bit too much?
“I said no!”
Chase’s temper was also getting worse. He was always feeling uneasy, like he was getting motion sickness, so it was understandable that he was being grumpy. But, you black panther, now is not the time to be so stubborn! I think you forgot who is in charge again!
“Okay, then try to hold out on your own?”
“…”
“Will you hold my hand?”
“…huh”
I couldn’t understand why I was so upset every time, even though it was always going to be like this. I clicked my tongue without showing it and clasped my hand around Chase’s
“ewww…”
Chase groaned and threw his head back. He then rested his head against the back of the sofa and squeezed his eyes shut.
His long, thick eyelashes cast wavy shadows over his plump aegyo-sal[1]charming fat, referring to the small, slightly puffy area of skin directly under the lower eyelid that is considered a sign of youthfulness and cuteness in Korean beauty standards. His jawline had become sharper as he had lost weight in the past few weeks.
Before I knew it, his bangs had grown quite a bit and were covering his pure white forehead. Feeling sorry for his overall pale appearance, I gently stroked his black bangs with my free hand and whispered to him
“Are you feeling better?”
“little…”
But the answer I got back somehow didn’t make sense. As the morning sickness got worse, both Chase and I felt that this level of contact wasn’t helping
Anyway, raising a baby in the womb is no ordinary thing. All pregnant women seem to be amazing. Chase isn’t pregnant, but I completely changed my posture, supported Chase’s left arm, and crawled into his arms, squirming. Then I stretched out both my arms and hugged his waist tightly. Whenever I hugged him, his waist was always slender and sharp.
“Do, don’t touch me.”
“I wasn’t groping. I was just checking to see if you lost weight.”
“Stop fumbling.”
“yes…”
I was worried, so I touched his waist and it hit me right back. But it did seem thinner than before. Even so, I was envious and amazed that his abs were still firm.
I looked down at my lower abdomen with a slightly gloomy look in my eyes. The baby was still the size of a soybean, but I didn’t know why my stomach was so chubby and soft. Did I eat too much lately…?
I did eat a lot…
“Isn’t it much better now?”
“It was fine earlier too.”
“Then will it[2]vomit fall?”
“Why don’t you stay still?”
Even though I never heard a single nice thing from him even though I hugged him, I was relieved to see his complexion brighten. However, the morning sickness got worse and worse, and it was a big problem. What if hugging him didn’t solve the problem?
I stared at the gaunt beauty, his eyes still closed. her mind filled with worry and concern.
Then a large hand suddenly came up and tapped the back of my head
“Why are you looking at me? What do you want to eat?”
How did you know when your eyes were closed? I mumbled a little embarrassed and answered.
“Fried chicken… The one Chase fried for me last time…”
“…”
“Not me, the baby wants to eat.”
