“I told you he doesn’t have a mouth yet.”
While saying that, Chase got up and headed to the kitchen. Looking at his slender back, I was troubled again. Is it okay to treat a sick child like this? But the chicken Chase made was really delicious! Eventually, he quietly followed Chase into the kitchen, hugged him from behind while he was cleaning the raw chicken, and buried his face in his back. The sweet and bright scent of Chase’s pheromones gently tickled the tip of his nose.
“Please do just a little bit, I’m going to the club’s year-end party tonight and eat a lot.”
“Taylor told me to come. He may be grumpy, but he’s actually really good-hearted. If you don’t go, he’ll get upset.”
“Party? Going to it?”
“That wasn’t something he said to you, it was something he said to the puppy.”
“Is that so?”
Now that I think about it, I’ve been to countless club meetings, but I’ve never attended them as Leoruca. I’d always go to the East in Chase’s arms as a puppy, and if the meeting went on for too long, I’d just lie down on Chase’s lap and fall asleep. That’s why I was the only one who had grown attached to the club members, and they’d still remember me as Leoruca del Caisa, the bad-tempered and unlovable guy.
It was a year-end party that we had all worked hard to prepare for, and I wanted to see everyone… I felt a little sad and gloomy, so I muttered in a low, depressed voice.
“It’s a year-end party, so the dog can’t go…”
“It’s not like we’re meeting in a clubroom. We rented a hotel banquet hall and it’s a big event that most of the graduates attend.”
“Then I’ll stay home. Alone…”
“…”
“Have a safe trip. If you get morning sickness… I’ll give you my handkerchief, so keep this…”
“Let’s go together. Just go, I’ll take you with me!”
“Really?”
Chase sighed as he raised his head in delight. His fingers were long and thin as he touched his forehead, as if he had a headache. I didn’t know why even his fingers were so pretty. Was it a basic quality of a main character?
“You can go since you’re a member of the club too. Not everyone might welcome you, but… I can’t help it, so I’ll just go with it.”
“Yes, yes!”
I was jumping around excitedly and almost twisted my leg. Chase clicked his tongue and wrapped his arms around my waist to pick me up, and I, not even a puppy, was left hanging next to Chase with my arms and legs hanging in the air, looking bewildered.
Sometimes Chase seemed to think I was a real puppy.
But it wasn’t a good idea to go to the year-end party together. If I had known this would happen, I would have sent Chase alone without even thinking about following him. But life is something you can’t see even an inch ahead.
So the problem started when Chase started getting morning sickness again.
“Oh, what should I do? Are you still having a hard time? Are you in a lot of pain?”
“Ugh. ugh… Ugh…”
Because so many people had gathered, the banquet hall was filled with a variety of pheromones. Perhaps because of that, Chase had a hard time calming down, and even though I held him for a long time by holding him in my arms while taking him to the balcony outside the banquet hall, his condition did not improve at at all. What should I do now?
No way? Do you really have to do something like that? It’s really hard to make a living. Ha, life…. As I was caressing Chase’s broad back, sobbing and thinking about a thousand things, I felt a presence behind me and then suddenly heard a surprised voice.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know there were people there…”
“Eek!”
I turned around in shock, almost fainting, and saw a man staring at us with his eyes wide open. I could clearly see how this situation must look to him, so I hurriedly tried to come up with an excuse.
At that moment, the man who had been staring at me muttered in disbelief.
“Leoruka del Caesar?”
Yes?
He was a man with brown hair and hazel eyes, and the word handsome seemed to exist just for him. There’s no way I wouldn’t remember someone like this. Do you know me? Or is he an acquaintance of the original Leoruka?
Well, Leoruka had been a member of this club ever since he entered school, so he probably knew quite a few people. I was a little flustered and asked him a bunch of questions.
“Do you know me?”
“ah…”
The man’s eyes staring at me seemed to glow coldly for a moment. But I must have been mistaken, as he soon regained his composure and shook his head.
“No, I just often heard from my juniors. Oh, I’m a graduate… and my name is Blake.”
“Senior Blake? Oh, are you that actor…”
“Haha, I’m too unknown to be called an actor. I’m just an aspiring actor…”
It was Senior Blake that the club members often mentioned. The way he smiled and waved his hand seemed friendly and relaxed my tension. Before I knew it my expression also relaxed and I ended up smiling along with him.
“But the person behind you… is that the person you’re meeting with? Your lover?”
yes?
Strangely enough, the question suddenly made me feel uneasy. I slowly raised my head and stared blankly at Senior Blake, who was standing behind me, staring at Chase. The sight of the two people standing face to face came into view. Then, a very important original setting that I had completely forgotten while I was playing around came to mind…
‘ah…’
The keywords are ‘agenarian, ability, and… handsome’.
A gentle and kind person with a sweet smile on his handsome face.
