I’m definitely starting to cry, I guess I should stop talking.
Mother could fall into a coma again at any moment. No one knew how much time was given. So they decided to enjoy this moment as much as possible. Mother wondered how Chase had been doing. It would take too long to tell, so Chase thought for a moment and decided to hide the shocking fact for a moment. It seemed too much to tell him the news that he had become a grandmother as soon as he opened his eyes.
“These days, I live with a roommate.”
“You and your roommate? Your roommate seems nice. Don’t bully the kid, okay?”
“Oh, what? That’s not it!”
Leoruka is making Chase suffer so much and yet he keeps saving such things.
“Mom, do you know how much of a troublemaker he is? I really can’t live without him…”
It was when Chase, who was feeling frustrated, was about to list all of Leoruka’s misdeeds.
Something rustled inside the bag he had hastily packed in his hurry to leave. Chase turned around in surprise, and saw a white head pushing the zipper of the bag open.
“oh!”
The mother opened his eyes wide. At the same time, the puppy cried out.
“Whoa!”
In my defense, there was a clear reason for this…
Chase has been acting all cocky lately. He’s been ignoring my accomplishments, saying things like I think my morning sickness is starting to go away or that I’m going to be okay without him.
But in my opinion, that’s ridiculous. The reason Chase is able to stay healthy is because of my incredible efforts, like sneaking up to him when he falls asleep from exhaustion, lying down next to him, hugging his waist tightly, or feeling his thick chest whenever he tossed and turned… no, patting him and releasing pheromones. The black panther didn’t know that and thought that his morning sickness disappeared because he was so healthy in body and mind. But if I was healthy in body and mind, how could you have taken my morning sickness away in the first place?
So when Chase got the call from the hospital and was getting ready to go out in a hurry, I was a little worried. I listened closely and saw that Chase’s mother seemed to be awake, which was good, but if he ran to the hospital room without me and suddenly started vomiting, wouldn’t he be worrying his mother for nothing?
Even if I wasn’t stuck to Chase, if I just gently released pheromones or just stayed by his side, his morning sickness would get better. But it seemed like he was trying to tear me away again…
I hesitated for a moment and then trudged to Chase’s closet. I took out the padding Chase had worn when we went out yesterday, closed the door, and paused for a moment. I thought this wouldn’t be enough, so I took out a few more of Chase’s padding and coats, and also packed a bunch of thick sweaters.
I piled up clothes on the bed, crawled inside, covered myself with two padded jackets, and buried myself in the pile of clothes. I buried my nose in the padded jacket and took a deep breath, and the refreshing scent of pheromones hit me. My chest felt as if it had been cleared, and my spirits lifted. Before I could take a few more deep breaths, my vision suddenly lowered, and the clothes I was wearing were taken off and piled next to Chase’s pile of clothes.
At that moment. Chase, who was trying to come to his senses while washing his face with cold water in the bathroom, ran out with urgent steps. I hurriedly grabbed my bag and tried to run away, but I chased after him. velling. “Wow!” Then he turned to me and spoke in an anxious tone.
(Dog, don’t cause trouble and stay quiet. I’ll be back soon.)
(Bam!)
I rolled my eyes for a moment, then while Chase was putting his bag aside and tying his shoelaces, I crawled into the bag and settled in. The scarf I had given him was in there, so I used it as a blanket and stretched out my legs.
And then… I fell asleep.
When I woke up, there was a noise above my head. I rubbed my eyes with my forelegs and looked around, and for a moment I was confused about where I was and who I was, so I just crouched down in a daze. But the conversation I heard outside the bag was unusual. It was Chase’s voice.
(I know how much of a troublemaker he is. I really can’t live without him…)
It sounded like my story…
As I listened quietly, I started to get angry. Who is calling whom a troublemaker? Who is the one who was fooled by the suspicious main character and devoted all of his love throughout the first, second, and third parts of the original? If it weren’t for me in this life, I[1]Chase would have definitely followed Senior Abel around and fallen in love. Thinking about that, I suddenly felt angry… So I pushed the slightly open zipper of my bag against my head and popped my head out. “Whoa!”
You’re the troublemaker! I shouted, stamping my front paws. Chase’s eyes widened as I saw him. He seemed speechless and couldn’t say anything, just opening his lips. A soft voice was heard from the other end. “You’re cute. Hey, Chase. You even have a roommate, and now you’re raising a puppy?”
“No, that’s not it…”
“My baby, have you been lonely?”
“…What?”
Us…… what?
I briefly tapped my ear with my front paw and then perked it up again. Did I just hear something strange?
“Oh, no! Hey, puppy, I told you to stay home and be quiet!”
“Why are you mad at the puppy? It’s so cute. It’s even more of a baby than you.”
“king…?”
