Sixty-two nations gathered in Nirvana—mostly small countries with limited military power, but combined, they wielded a significant force. Understanding this, the leaders of each nation chose, without hesitation, to form a multinational alliance in response to the threats posed by the Elysian Empire and the Raddle Axis Union.
A discussion meeting was held before the alliance’s formation, but it was largely a formality, and soon progressed to the signing ceremony.
“When the formal signing is done, we’ll call in the press for a grand unveiling,” Jean declared.
“I see. So, Jean, you leaked the information to the media right from the start with this in mind,” Arjuna pointed out with a knowing smile.
“Of course. Forming a military alliance is pointless if people don’t know about it. It won’t serve as a deterrent otherwise,” Jean replied confidently.
Jean’s calculative nature always impresses me. He’s the type who never misses an opportunity, no matter the circumstances.
The newly established military alliance was named the Nirvana Alliance after the location of the signing ceremony. The anticipated military force of the alliance was expected to exceed 400,000 Magicrafts, putting it on par with the Elysian Empire and the Raddle Axis Union.
Jean predicted the alliance would grow even larger. Many nations still felt threatened by the Elysian Empire and the Raddle Axis Union, and, upon learning of the Nirvana Alliance, other countries might choose to join later.
Jean pointed out that the greatest weakness of the Nirvana Alliance was that it was a hastily assembled organization to counter a significant threat. To address this, he proposed creating a unified military structure with contributions from each country in terms of funds, personnel, and resources.
Since the alliance consisted of countries that trusted the Musou Iron Cavalry Corps, Jean’s proposal was quickly accepted. What was remarkable about Jean was that he had thought of this structure from the beginning—he had already compiled detailed documents about it. Using these documents as a foundation, the organization was established at an unprecedented pace. The Musou Iron Cavalry Corps also participated in building this organization, leading to busy days ahead, and as a result, the banquets that my father looked forward to were postponed.
“I can’t take it anymore! When’s the banquet?!”
It seems my father’s patience has reached its limit. He’s been drinking alone, but it appears he much prefers the lively atmosphere of a group celebration.
“Please wait until all the various agreements are finalized. After that, I’ll join you,” Kiyone replied.
“Hmm…”
Though Kiyone said this, she intended to proceed with the plan to rescue Yukiha and reclaim our heroes once the organizational groundwork was laid. Until that mission was complete, I couldn’t even think about celebrating.
